Oldsmokey Grows Blue Cheese & Blueberry With Promix

This is the only aspect of living in Canada that I’m jealous of... the fishing here fucking sucks. Lol Constantly getting skunked.. it’s a good day if you can catch one fish haha... but then again I just love being out in the sun relaxing, but I imagine being able to slay fish like that would be amazing. So many of my friends have told me stories about there Canadian fishing trips and it sounds like a blast. It’s definitely on my list of things to do before I kick the bucket. You lucky SOB’s :) Hope all is well your worlds!

We have great fishing.... stories

The sockeye' s will be showing up there soon there not the biggest but I think they are the tastiest.
I tried River fishing for salmon. Let's just say I should stay to lakes.... it a fun day regardless. I want to try again this year.

No we don't hold tournaments hahhA they are only found in the river , they are much larger then the American fish blue Gill or crappy , yes they fight very violent they jump alot , yes I got a home made smoker but any small brand name all works the same , the gold eye has a keep limit of ten I think ? They are not a bad or invasive species, our river systems hold various trout such as the famous bull trout Wich is native to Alberta like the gold eye , sturgeon , walleye , jackfish , moon eye and multiple sucker fish etc.... We do have one foreign species that is wrecking are river system known as a Prussian carp ,,,, but if you come anywhere in Canada I would suggest fishing the river , it's been proven if you blow hash hoots on your rig the sturgeon will come
Sounds like fun to me

I used to have a little chief smoker there ok just bigger would be bettet. A smoker BBQ that's what I want! The problem is my wish list is long.

Have you come up with any more ideas for covering the green house?

I hear ya. I love fin things. A lot.
that's sounds yummy and by the way you cook. You deserve it!
I went to Home Depot today. Spoke to 5 men (different areas) to help me find hinges and brackets along with rods.
I heard everything from "you shouldn't build it."You May need power tools, I don't think it's a good idea", "I don't want to be held liable for it"! I said your not I'm buying parts. I have all the tools I need. (My late step dad worked for Stanley) it's my drawing/design, you have nothing to do it with". He didn't seem to agree and wouldn't help me at all. I said , "you don't want to help me or sell me anything because you think I'll I can't do it?" Since when does Home Depot discriminate? I was chocked. I had to leave.
I'll be back with a picture of it completed! Eat Crow! Ugh....
I'm a girly girl Tom boy, I can do it!

somehow haha

Will probably be making a trip to the island sometime this summer to scatter my mother's ashes in departure Bay in Nanaimo. That's where her mother and father's remains are.
Smokey, I'm sorry. It's so hard. I have my Moms. If you and the wife ever come by this way, maybe we can grab a coffee? 420 social!
sending you a hug:hug:

Lol I think you misunderstood my joke buddy. I didn’t mean to offend any of my Canadian friends. I wasn’t talking politics, I meant geographically, I do not envy any of you.
Lol only a joke brother!! I had to poke fun because of the emphasis of “only”. :laughtwo:

No offence taken! :high-five:

Lol no man backlip was just saying a joke I think you misunderstood ,. All is good brother
Thanks bro!

Amen brotha
:high-five:

I feel ya. I love the ferries. I find them relaxing. I saw Orcas and a tiny bay one last tome I went to the island getaway to Tofino. It was amazing. It was storm watching time. The air was so wet the mist was floating upwards in all directions. Never saw that before. Highly recommend it! Not to mention the long beach was fun of surfers! It was great!
I with your wife I bring a blanket and go outside up high on the side of the ferry that has the wind blocked and read my book n sun tan. :high-five: it's funny I find many people from the island don't share the same love for the ferry as non residents. Growing up in Ontario, I still get the shock n Awh about the beauty here in BC
love being Canadian  Have you ever been to the Yukon?
My wife is from port Alberni, and a couple years ago she took me up to toffino. I’ve been there before but when I was really little. It’s gorgeous there. The weather was crappy, and it was super foggy, but it was a super cool trip to toffino. Stopped at a few other waterfalls, and I back flipped off a bridge into a creek... that was a fun trip.

super cool you saw orcas!! I’ve smoked joints and drank beer on the ferries... that’s about the most I’ve done on the Ferrie.

I did camp on the ocean with in-laws and wife, had a eagle nest above our tent... that was super cool!!

never been to the Yukon but it’s on my bucket list!!:thumb:

And being able to spark a Jay without fear of harassment or incarceration. I guess that sorta sucks too. ;)
True dat!! :passitleft::laughtwo:

Biggest for me was a 62lb grouper caught off the coast of Cuba.

Diving/spearfishing when I was stationed down there at the Navy base. Tagged that big ol pig under a stack of rocks.

Glad he died instantly, because he'd have taken me skiing. LoL

My new fav way of dossing is dust. Decarbed bud ground into powder ingest any way you like thats's my morning dose brownie in the evening.

What is your process for making dust? Drying, decarb and grind. This works as well as using grain alcohol or oil infusion?
Seems like a simple solution and I'm a simple man.

I'm Promix HP and MC as well, thanks

Surprised TF outta me too. I could only see shadows. I thought it was a monster snapper. Took a blind shot & drilled it.

Pulled my line back to find that monster. LoL

Yep that's it pretty simple then I just washed it down with a glass of water and wait for the fun. Here is thread on it.

A couple of Artic Char. Pulled from the cold waters off the shores of the Baffin Islands, while I was working up in Iqaluit years ago. Was using one of those ultra lite Shakespeare trout rods like you get at Walmart for 10 bucks. What a fight. Had that old rod doubled completely over.

Here’s a pic of a big ol’musky I caught a couple years ago in buckhorn lake. They said it was the biggest they seen pulled out of it. They took my picture and put it up in the Marina. Funny part is I caught it on a Mepps #2 spinner. Bent that hook right over, felt like I was dragging in a log! Hahaha
