OldMedMan's First Grow Couchlock 2009

thx for the kind words and thoughts and sometimes I am smoking a little and cutting back on the morphine tabs.I have cut back 20 miligrams a day so far
and then I take a few hits for pain and it helps,so I'm happy with that.during my grows and with how my bro can get I have had cops close by,but always turns out ok.thx brother for your thoughts.:thankyou::surf:

:thankyou:

Laughing here, my wife might argue about it being anything but beautiful, had her kitchen tied up all day. But thank you, yeah I'm pleased. I did get lucky with the the wooden upright supports, just barely cleared the power strips......yessss!

A little over 21K lumens now with 8 42 watt'ers, should improve the crop :slide:

I can't wait to smell a Plumeria flower again........enjoy them.

So envious.

Aloha

Love that setup ... looks great !

I went into Problems, Pests & Disease Control and read about some of the possible reasons for some of my leaves being yellow and having other color problems. It scared me to death. my plants had almost every deficiency in the book. yikes. I looked at all this before I watered them, Lucky.
I mixed up everything I could think of FF Big Bloom and Tiger Bloom, B-1, RO water, hydrogen peroxide, molasses, and even a powdered oxygen dust. All with a lesser amount than called for because I am still unsure what my girls can take. Sweat Sweat. This was yesterday and the pictures are what happened. They jumped in size over night and look much better. If they still look good tomorrow I will know if I did good or bad. Wish me luck.:ganjamon:

Glad they're doing better!

Keep us posted brother!

It's hard to move forward when we're not sure what's wrong, but I think you did the right thing.

You read up, you forced the hand, looks like you made a good read and it's going your way.

Hope they continue to perk up!

Thanks Sun,
Yea I read up on things and I needed everything under the sun.
A real shock to my system (my head).:ganjamon:
Sometimes you just can't wait for advise. Live by the sword and so on.
But it was still fun. :thankyou:

Whoa! Your ladies are looking great! If they were suffering before, they certainly don't show it now. Pretty creative mix you gave 'em, did you save the amounts of each ingredient? Might be something worth sharing with others.....like me:goodjob:

As a matter of fact I did. Just didn't have time to list them all before.:yummy:
All the following measurements are for I gallon of water.
First I used RO water and did not check the pH of it because I read a post by Propa Gater that said you didn't have to as it does it for it's self.

1 TSP of FF Tiger Bloom (1/2 of the recommend dose)
1 Table spoon of FF Big Bloom (1/2 of the recommend dose)
1/2 TSP of Hydrogen Peroxide
1/2 TSP B-1
1 TS molasses
1/2 Capsule of Oxylife Zero 2 Sixty. They actually are for adding more oxygen to the human blood stream for energy. I read somewhere else that folks use them in Hydro for the roots. I figured it wouldn't hurt.

I would wait to see how it effects my plants before doing anything like this.:ganjamon:

yeah bro your plants suffered when your ph was high,

its ganna take a lot of energy to bring em back, and keep em on track.

another flush isnt a bad idea, with your ph stabilized they would surely suck up all the nutes you feed em

You are probably right. I think I will wait a few days to see how they are doing. They've been through hell. :peace:

Hey there Oldmed, I read where hydrogen peroxide is great unless you over do it. A half tsp doesn't sound like much but it said only a couple drops is enough per gallon..?? Don't know if that has anything to do with your problem but just thought I would throw that out there.. Good luck

Hi canolution good suggestion. I have never foliar fed them at all. I will try some next pay day:thankyou:
Ya I found the deficiency list totally confusing. I read it more than once and just tried to treat them with what I thought was right.
Thanks again Bro :peace:

Yipes! To tell the truth my 1/2 tea spoon was a very light 1/2 tea spoon. My mind was really telling me not to over do things.lol This was the only time I've used it.
My little grow is very important to me and I'm trying to at least have some kind of harvest. You would not believe the prices here.
Don't know if you've read my whole journal, but this is a fairly big closed room and I fight humidity all the time. The only air I get is from an ac unit. We do the best we can with what we have.LOL

Had to stop a minute, the birds were literally knocking on my door. I feed them and they tell me when they are hungry. We have some really beautiful birds in Hawaii. Hell, I've even named a few of them.lol

Strange thing is the little grow box I have is about 20 feet across the room and it's temps and humidity are much lower than the big box which is sitting right next to the AC. Go figure. No way I can move it by myself. To bad I don't have your will.:ganjamon:

Sorry got long winded. See you soon. I told your Pumpkin story at the doctors office today.:surf:

Hey OMM, I hope you don't have to go thru any more ph scares but, I found out how bad one of those prob. can be a while back. So hopefully you can keep it under control for the rest of the grow, after my bad experience I kept my feeding at half dose for a few weeks and just recently have gone to feeding every watering with the rec. dose. How's your ph levels going in and out?

Hi Sisco, I did check it going in and it was 6.5. To tell the truth I spaced checking it on the way out. I was just too intent on getting the right amount of things going in. I get too careful sometimes because I don't want to hurt them. I had started giving them only 1/2 half of what Fox Farm's schedule said. Then I just gave them RO water the next time. I believe I waited to long between watering. The were almost bone dry. In fact the soil felt really compacted and hard. I just haven't reached that point of knowing what to do automatically yet. Soon as I can afford one I will get a digital pH meter, The one I have is slow to wake up. I clean the hell out of the probes, but it takes like 5 minutes to wake up.
If this doesn't help them I will do a good flush and start over.
Thanks for you advice and concern.:thankyou:

Aloha OldMedMan! I was thinkin' about ya and am sure glad the tsunami missed ya!

Your plants look gorgeous! If they needed something it sure didn't show to me cuz they look beautiful! :goodjob: I don't know about you, but I sit and just stare at mine A LOT - EVERY CHANCE I GET!!! I'm within a week of going to flower, how about you? Maybe you started 12/12 already and I missed it? Sure do want to see what yer indicas do!!! I'm still watchin' yer show!

Thought I'd check back to see if you had an update on your girls, still looking as good as yesterday we all hope? Your buds are going to be so fine.

After reading what you've had to deal with during the past week, I was a bit paranoid giving my ladies their first weak solution blooming nutes (Green Light Super Bloom) this morning. Smells becoming an issue, I best be getting on with a DYI scrubber.

Been meaning to ask......how are you doing since your paint can encounter? Made my side ache just reading about it.

Better I hope!
