OldMedMan's Aloha Journal Part 2

one thing to mention if it is too close you might get some bleached tops
the led's
but a little white on the tip shouldnt bother the thing does fill out better closer to the light

I didn't think of that yes Thank You Sir! :circle-of-love: My younger brother is serving in the Army now.

Thanks Ash2man. Good on your younger brother. They had a draft back in the day, but I enlisted. Never regretted it. :peace:

Thank's OMM, I found it after posting, Yours looked like it had alot of sativa to it, mine is very squatty indica that I will use for a mother for hempy runs. I am also looking for a stain to run for some people that have cancer. What would all of ya'll recommend? I have double glock from ripper, Greenhouse AMS, Train wreck,WW,White Rhino,Great White Shark, Cheese, Freebies-Delicious Caramelo & Northern Light Blue with some sleestack x skunk

When I had two folks that had cancer and I was care giving, they wanted indica only for their pain That should help you decide.

:peace:

Thanks cronic....you have more experience with them than I do.Good to know.:thanks:

The 1W LED's are basically "1st generation". It was the newest technology several years ago. They are energy efficient, especially compared to MH & HPS, but again, with the lower wattage, it has very poor penetration into the canopy. If you grow your plants short enough, and have the lights close enough to the top of the plants, they're OK.

Thanks Mr. Krip. :thanks:

Dang... I am actually getting goose bumps.

Rock on OMM

The Story Continues............................................... The Chaplin School Under Fire

Sam and I were just sitting around one Monday morning and in came two female privates. They looked really frightened and tense. We quickly pulled out two chairs for them and also rolled our chairs out to face them. Note: Never have a desk or tables between you and the person you want to talk to. They are barriers to communications and block openness.

We offered some coffee and water to them. They refused. They looked like two deer in the headlights. We asked them some easy stuff, like where they were from and so on. Finally Sam asked them what we could do for them. They explained they were from the Chaplin's School. Once they started they just blurted everything out.

They had been at the school two years and not one female had been promoted. In fact no female had ever been promoted since before they had been there. They were E-1s. Sam and I looked at each other. Everyone gets at least one stripe their first year, unless they really messed up or were complete idiots. These young Ladies were neither. We told them to go back to school and not to mention that they had talked to us. We would take it from here.

Sam and I sat there for a while deciding what to do. One thing was sure we were not going to call the Chaplin's School. Since we had no OIC, we deiced to call the Base Commander's office. I spoke to the XO. The Executive Officer of the Fort.

Here was the first time that I ran into the "Good Old Boy's Network/Club". The XO wanted to call the Commander of the Chaplin's School.. "Sir, why would you do that if they are suspect?" I asked. He grudgingly agreed. I asked him to come over and talk to us about what should be done.

He came over early after lunch and brought a couple staff officers with him. Finally it was decided that an investigation should take place. The XO said "But who can we get to do it?".. I looked at him and said "Me". He looked at me like I was crazy. "Sir, my last fours years were spent doing Organizational Effectiveness, I can do this in a week or less". So that is what happened. Sam would help me.

Salutations and a great weed to you OMM:)
hope all is well.

That's what I have exactly the 10 watters. I don't think I have flowered with them at all. I can tell you they veg well, with everything turned up to full blast. I just learned to lower them closer to the girls than I had them before. I think they are good lights.

Thanks OMM I am considering the 10 watt lights and was wondering how they worked for you:peace::thankyou:

LED

I am blooming with 3 watt LEDs they work but more is always better.

Think about this "In full sun, you can safely assume about 100 watts of solar energy per square foot"...

I have my plants close to the 3 watt LEDs now some tops are 5" away and are not getting burned I will get some pics when I can.

Thanks Buck I am afraid I would get bleaching at 5" the heat isn't a problem I can keep the back of my hand under and next to the light without it ever getting hot. I had my lights closer at 16 " but I thought I was getting some bleaching so I move them up to 22" and the plants seem to be doing OK (they are in Veg right now) but during Flower they will need intense light to maximize the bud production. I can play around with the distance and see what happens. I check on my plants way too often as I am so impatient.
DO you move your light up and down a lot or set them and let the plants grow to them???? :peace:
