OldMedMan Goes Indoors Part 2

The Story Continues….........................

Being in the Ed Center was great. One of our main duties was getting troops to go to schools to help them make rank faster and to have better jobs. Yes, you know I looked for me too. I found one and it was right there at Ft. Ord. “Organizational Effectiveness”.
The write up was kind vague…”You will be doing things that will change the Army and make it modern.” Other than that a clip that said that I would clarify what each part the Army does. So much for that. That was tease enough for me. The only problem I saw was the requirement that I had to be an E-7 up to a Full Bird. I was an E-6.

I thought about that for awhile and came to the conclusion that it was worth a try.
There are always exceptions. The next day I went over and picked up my Military Records and headed to see the Commandant of the school. I got right in. He said no salute. So I stated my case and left my records for him to look over. He thanked me for my for my interest and said he would think about it.

Soon as I got back to the Ed Center, here came the Old Man. “You trying to jump ship? I just talked to John (The Commandant)”. Well, yes. I said. “We will see!” he said and left.

Couple days later I was called over to the Commandant's. This time he walked around the desk and said “You are in.” with a smile and a hand shake.
"By the way your C.O. Recommended you highly". I really didn't know my life was going to change so drastically.

Kinda weird how everything is coming to a head, and the world isn't looking too great, make you think about things you normally wouldn't...

Closet Farmer, the mountain is Mauna Kea.. It's ranked 15th tallest, but if you count it from below the sea its quite a bit bigger than Everest.. :)
 
If the mountain blows it will be even taller!!! Some time I would like to get some scuba gear and climb that mountain!!! YeeeeHawww!!!!!

Right on OMM if you folks blow the rest will be consumed in a massive tsunami so lets keep'er quiet......hope you got a generator will all those great plants you have just in case you loose power........keep smoking, mine just stretched again, came home today took a look and i was like dammmmmmmmm good thing leds and no heat leaves were all up on it enjoying it......i got some seeds i wanna start now since the process takes so long but i dont have another room set up for them....dammit, i think one is a strawberry cough......:Namaste:

You know GT I was been noticing the same things. Just around here, we've had tidal waves from Japan, then radioactive stuff from Japan. Horrible storms on the mainland...on and on. It does make you think!:smokin2::smokin2:

You're great voltron ! :Love: I advise every one to take a few tokes before reading this crazy journal:Love: Terrible thing to say, but if it brows....I hope the wind is blowing the other way! The Hawaiian Island chain is the youngest part of the world and it's still growing. Both under water and above. Growing pains.

I will never throw my Wild Thai in it, no matter what! That's how I hope get through it if blows! :adore:

Today THsea and I faced facts and cut down the Twilight and poor Lucy. They were more dead than alive. When we looked at the roots.....first there wasn't many and those that were there were dark brown. These are the two plants I kept small for months. Don't think I'll do that again. Live and learn.

We looked at the rest of the girls and they were fine, just those two.

I haven't mentioned a man that I had become very good friends with. He was a Chaplin's Assistant. He did counseling and visited the all the Batteries in the Division. He was basically a very good person. He had an IQ of around 160 and it was evident by the things he did. Jo and I had just started dating on and off and we went to see him a few times at his home. He had raised his two kids by himself. You could not tell them apart! It was so bad you couldn't tell which was male or female. They looked like clones! They even had the same tone of voice. They were great kids, but strange. A boy and a girl.

He had been an E-6 for 15 years. Not much upward advancement for Chaplains Assistances. The school that I was going to had not started yet, so I was just hanging around in the Ed. Center. He stopped by and asked if I thought that the "Old Man" would let us see the new promotion list before it was released. I said let's go see.

The Commander let us see it. I really wasn't too interested.....I hadn't thought much about getting promoted. His name was not on the list, but mine was! In two days I would be an E-7!! We thanked the Commander and left. My friend was white as a sheet. He went home and went to bed. I felt terrible for him.

This was a changing point for me. First it dawned on me, I may have gotten in to my school anyway. However I think I had made a good impression doing what I did to get in.

Then I realized I was high enough in rank that when I retired I would have a pretty good retirement. That was the day I quit smoking weed. No use taking chances now.

A bit more about my friend. He started applying for different schools. He got one and learned to speak German. Then he applied for attaché duty. He went to embassy school in Washington. After that they sent him to Belgium. He made E-7 and they gave him a beautiful house in Belgium all expenses paid. He and his kids loved it.

For all the stink and drama, there is very little actual taste to it at all....this is assuredly an herb that benefits from a good slow cure. Yield wasn't great at 1.5 oz a plant, but that's my fault for letting the bugs get so out of hand.
I WILL grow it again...in fact....I think that just like SSOG and LUCY, there will always be some Pineapple Chunk in the freezer
"BIG A" comes thru as usual :) :) :) (much love to Jodi Attitude) An entire order of ET beans....5 strains...50 beans....a fist full of freebies from DNA, Reserva Privada, John Sinclair (who the eff is John Sinclair??)....they tossed in a double extra jumbo Tee from Paradise Seeds (I'm 6'4" and 205 lbs) lastly... someone (jodi the cutie?) tossed in one each, of every ET strain I've never bought!!! Way to promote biz, kids! That's how it's done! I've wondered about Mastadon Kush:goodjob: Now we'll know, and I predict the April 20 order will be a hundred new ET beans:Love: Damn bean box is getting full! I'll have to live to 200 just to grow out what I already have now hahahahahahaha...fecking OCD/collector disease

Spec7!! every time I'd get to three or so....I'd blow a lungfull in a full-Bird's face or something smart like that.... annnnnnnd.....back to Spec1...errr E1. Up and down that stupid ladder so many times, I knew every rung intimately
I make one crummy fucking soldier/sailor/marine.....they don't like free thinkers there at all.....I'm honorable....but just :)
