Old Strains - New LED Light!

You can go to an online government sight and see your laws and limits. Here it is $200 to get a 3 year license for up to 5 plants. Without the license, up to 5 plants is a $200 max ticket for uncontrolled noxious weeds. Same ticket you get for excessive tall grass or rag weeds. If it has roots it is a plant. Anyone ( license or not) with 6 plants is a class A felony. Carrying 2oz of flower, 500mg of edibles and 5 grams of concentrate in public is just personal use so legal.

I just can't tell if our politicians have never partaken or if they were baked when they wrote all of this. Maybe there first experience was hot boxing the conference room over lunch break.

As far as I remember none of the provinces have limits of different stages of growth, it's just a hard limit of 4 plants, except for med growers.
That really hasn't stopped people from growing 5 or 6, and I don't know anyone who's gotten in trouble over having one or two extra.
It not being legal at all has not stopped people from growing it.
We luckily have a bit of a tolerance policy here since some years now... small amounts and a couple of plants nobody really bats an eye if there's no trouble.. but a certainty it is not.

Cheers, eh ?

Some thoughts....

Here is an argument FOR select defoliation and lollipopping !

Both of the Golds had previously been topped and quadlined leaving the original fan leaves but when I did my trim last night I discovered white fuzzy stuff on top of the medium of both of them. Not a problem but....

The Maui Wowie however being a taller lankier plant had barely a hint of it...

And the Hawaiian Snow being younger and smaller and in coco was just fine !

It is time to retire the humidifier. A full 24 hours without and my rh was 56%, overnight was 62%.

With the SIP's being fully charged and the plants larger I don't need the help anymore ;)

Feed is currently at 3.6g/gallon of MC, I'm leaving the reservoirs dry down to one drop on the dip stick and topping to three.

Lights at the same level and power, 60% on the knob, 30,000 lux/450 par.

Two more days until Pension check 😆 and I'll pick up some GH Cal/Mag, I'll treat the coco SIP and one of the ProMix SIP's. And likely flip to 12/12 at that time, they are Big Enough

The plan is to do one more adjustment on the hooks and then let them grow up. For the next three weeks (?) I will remove any lower side branches...

For those of you who are going OMG o_O on the "training" this is a half hour after lights on today !

It is looking like I'm going to have to get creative to tame the Maui Wowie :yummy:

Thinking about installing a hoop and tying the tops to it Xmas wreath style ! Really just wanted long full cola's but she may get too tall for that, sigh...

Do you mean pinch of regrowing bud sites in the rest of the material? or do you keep pinching off bud sites on what's now growing up? or is she's going to zig-zag straight away now? like only throwing out 1 or 2 pairs before she starts alternating?
A "bud site" in veg will grow a branch, the same site in flower won't have time to grow a true branch but instead will be a "bud" ;)

Once pinched off nothing will grow at that intersection...

A plant in veg grows matching fans and a plant in flower will grow alternating fans, both with bud sites. The trick is to stop pinching the sites off late enough in flower that only a bud will form. It will still be a "branch" but short and full 😆

Cheers

Ah but I don't think they have to flower, they start alternating after a certain maturity previous one started doing it before flip and after 8 weeks or so. But once they're zagging they're stacking but I don't got space for an 8 week veg so it's moot.

But from previous journals I remember these grow pretty tall no? so that's all in the preshaping you're doing.

Yes, it is a sign of maturity no matter the light cycle..

Easily over five feet but with training and flipping @ 6 weeks I'm hoping to keep them under four ;)

I find most mowi almost triple in the stretch from trunk base to tip. 1.5 foot tall and wide stretches into a 4 foot cube. I have never FIMed one, just top and lollipop. Curious if FIM will tame her.

Alternating nodes marks the beginning of maturity. Single node pistols marks fully mature. Where you are at when you switch to 12/12 will effect stretch and how long until flower starts. A fully mature plant will flower within days of 12/12 with less stretch.

Day 43

Just for fun :yahoo:

Structure is pretty well where I want it.........

I'll now let them grow up and continue pinching off bud sites while leaving the fan leaves.

By the time they get to building cola's on the remaining branches there should be plenty of new fan leaves to fuel them ;)

Now you can see how sweet your training was. Those are set up nicely for huge colas.

Well, I can only see one set of alternating fans, I may be in for the ride of my life :yahoo:
