Oh No - It's A Green Hole! - Reverse Thrusters! - Dammit - Too Late!

So that's what you've been doing in the shed?!

Or - ' I knew it! All the signs were there!! I knew you were having an affair. I just didn't think you'd be having it with a plant!! That's disgusting!!!!!!! I hate you!! You Sicko!!!! Wail! Shriek! Sob!'
etc. etc. etc.

I wouldn't have time to be a guitar virtuoso if I ever even had the patience and studious type brain for it. I have mostly just always noodled and improvised without having much clue what I was doing. Much like my grow. I don't recommend it really. I can improvise well and play something that makes me happy, If that spot in my brain is switched on, but would probably fail music class instantly. Playing music saved my life though when I was a messed up kid. I really don't think I'd be here if I hadn't had guitars.
The guitar is a Seagull. They're made in Quebec I believe by a company that makes a few other guitar models. Red cedar top. They're quite cheap, but can really sing on a good day. I wear out guitars pretty fast and then start modifying things and rebuilding them and stuff, in order to finish wrecking them faster :)

DITTO.

I played saxophone when I was a kid so I know just enough about music theory to get me in trouble. I'm not a student of music or a virtuoso by any means.
I also enjoy noodling around the fretboard and just improvising. When I pick up my guitar it's like an instant stress reliever that is only rivaled by partaking in the wonders of our beloved herbal flowers.
I sometimes come up with some really cool progressions and licks, at least my ear, but never seem to put them down on paper for future reference. The only folks that think that I'm good at guitar are the folks that have never played a guitar. That says it all right there I think. LOL!

I actually have a small collection of Martin guitars (6 at current time). Those guitars are some of the few material possessions that I have that I really give a hoot about. Each one has it's own unique feel, sound, character, aroma, and attitude.

I've never owned a Seagull but I have had a a few Canadian made guitars pass through my hands over the years such as Simon & Patrick, Art & Luthier, and a Norman. The Simon & Patrick was an OM body style and was the one that I liked most but it was stolen out of my car several years ago.

Play on brutha!

Thanks JoJo. Glad you liked the stem pics. It was you who inspired me to start paying more attention to them and to try and get a decent photo. When I train the branches into the screen they naturally get laid the same direction and end up in a sort of spiral which explains the stem shape.
I recently started weighing the crops- to figure out how I'm doing in the scheme of things with grams/watt or whatever. I've only managed to record 3 or 4 plants weight so far but it has been around 100 grams per plant so far and I expect these will be about the same. I don't think they're high-yielding strains, and I'm moving into growing even lower yielding plants, I think. Kinda trying to satisfy the patients needs, mine, and my curiosity to grow new strains, all at the same time.
I'd like to have some more strains for pain and to help sleep. Though I automatically seem to keep gravitating to the sativas because they lift me up and keep me from getting depressed. The Celt recommended THC Bomb. I'm going to check that out too. I'm excited about this magic butter machine which is apparently in the mail to me. I get to play mad scientist and make some sort of potions.

I hope this Malawi works for you. This strains is a very stable landrace, and has 24-27% THC on average. My friend whom I sent some bud smoked it from a glass pipe, and he couldn't drive although he was supposed to. He had to wait an hour. That kind of smoke Malawi Gold is :cheesygrinsmiley: I just smoke it with friends occasionally cause anytime I try to puff some on an easy day at home I finish walking in circles and then trying to figure out which way to ride it for the next two hrs at least, and she keeps you high for around 4-5 hrs :cheesygrinsmiley:

Thanks Bapple. I feel a bit bad that I didn't get any budrot and you did. I almost wanted to find some for you, out of sympathy. Oh well, believe me- if I was growing outdoors I'd have budrot to spare.

Hey Weasel, how's tricks?

Don't feel bad, I have only ever had 4 plants out of a total of 12 (pulled the HH yesterday and she was as clean as a whistle) that did not get BR. Last Sunday when I was lamenting the BR and the fact that it occurred on our favourite the ASD, the SL calmly reminded me that 18 short months ago we were buying dreadful weed of unknown provenance for eye watering sums.....so no complaints from me about BR as we clearly have enough to last us for a good while. With the Blue Dream and the HH ( I dropped a seed in water last night) hopefully being ready in December, it's all good.

Hope the weekend has started well - here it's raining like crazy.

Wow I am only phone and suck at editing but in mly opinion, a 'small'collection of martins is one six is at least a medium to large collection you fortunate one you. Play onbrutha is right, what a treat for youcheers

No kidding. UncleC I hope you have some sort of kid, or some sort of grandkid, worthy of inheriting those someday. When I bought my seagull it was in a room full of Martins and sounded better at 1/5 the price, though I've played Martins before and since that made me drool and double check my bank account to make sure it was still at zero.
Those Canadian guitars you mentioned are all made by Robert Godin's company (Godin), as are the Seagulls. I have no idea how anyone can make a decent guitar and sell it for a profit at 350-500 dollars, but somehow they do. The assembly line system must be incredibly efficient.

Thanks for the Malawi info Conradino. It does sound a little scary...:lot-o-toke:
If/when I get some of these three landraces- Mama Thai, Thai Stick, and Malawi, flowered out succesfully and not looking too embarrassingly trashed and burned in the process, I'll post some pics and info on the landraces thread. This may take a while...

Raining like crazy is exactly what's going on here too! Glad you have a bit of a stash squirreled away, and I think it's pretty cool that you can be harvesting anything in December except icicles

It is cool isn't it? :yahoo::woohoo:

Christmas Day is generally about 20C during the day; it's not shabby at all, of course yields are about a third of what one would get when it's warmer weather.

Thank you for sharing that, thats exactly what I have been looking for!

WHITE WIDOW.

This WW I'm growing now, sole survivor of the great September WW Massacre, seems a little different plant than the last one I harvested. The buds stand on stalks 10-12" high ( same as the PC only the PC refuses to stand it lays sideways). She's turning yellow quite quickly. I gave her a bunch of calmag along with her dinner the last couple feedings, to see if she'd stop yellowing, but it didn't help. So I guess she's just one of those yellowing plants :)

I don't think I'll reveg her, unless I hear squeals of protest from anybody, or she suddenly starts getting unusually sticky, or does something else interesting like that. I'm not sure- she just seems a bit boring for me- kind of lacks character so far, and I want to focus more on the sativas + am always looking for a strain to axe so I can make from for a new one. PC, Blueberry, Mama Thai, Thai Stick, and Malawi should keep me engaged for another few months, and I'd love to get more seeds. MORE!

I'd like to get Jack Herer from Sensi Seeds. Also maybe a Haze, like Super Lemon, and that Purple Kush, and Grapefruit (which I heard smells exactly like grapefruit), and some high Cbd strains, and the Thc Bomb, also Panama from Ace Seeds, among many others. If anyone has any favorites- feel free to lay them on me and I'll do some googling. Thanks in advance! :thumb: I just don't like herb that makes me feel mentally retarded. Feeling stupid makes me feel very paranoid, and then very depressed. Indica strains tend to do it to me.

The clones are growing like crazy. I'll have to repot soon I think, and kill off most of them as I really don't need so many. The T Stick is bushing out everywhere and I can tell it's going to be a handful. I repotted it into a 7 gallon though I should probably dig around for a 10 gallon. I'll put it in flower soon- hope it's a girl.
The Malawi sproutlings are up, about an inch above ground now. :thumb:

Looking nice in the veg and flower chambers lol you do make me second guess getting WW to be honest but in a good way lol

I do feel very fortunate indeed. They were collected over a period of several years.
I have whats commonly referred to as guitar aquisition syndrome or G.A.S. for short. Unfortunately there is no known cure.

No kidding. UncleC I hope you have some sort of kid, or some sort of grandkid, worthy of inheriting those someday. Only one of my Martins was purchased new. All of the others were used and/or damaged when I bought them.
I know a very capable guitar luthier that can turn a broken turd into a musical piece of art. Broken guitars can usually be had for a fraction of their actual worth so when I run across a good deal I scoop it up and bring it to my buddy and let him do his magic.

Martin guitars are shipped from the factory with the action set very high. The Martin dealer is supposed to set up the guitar at the time of purchase based on player preference. Unfortunately this doesn't happen sometimes so there are a lot of Martin guitars floating around with the action set so high they feel and play like a brick with bed springs for strings instead of a guitar.

I'm not a brand snob by any means. I've owned and played some really fine budget guitars over the years and do regret selling some of them.

Looking good WC!

Ya' think the yellowing on your White Widow might be due to low nitrogen levels?
