Nick Hardy's Big Grow 2023 Gorilla Glue Skunk 11 OG Kush Coco Peat Co2 Mars Hydro

Jeez. I reckon that beats the crap out of my poor man’s system. Lmao!

Everyone has different budgets but I’m not splashing cash on the AC’s. Way more than the space requires. Fully refurbed and installed like $150 USD. It seems like a deal because AC’s are common here. When I went to buy a dehumidifier used to Hong Kong prices where you really really need them I got a nasty surprise 🥲

But you win for just such grow hackerdom! Its awesome! I saw it and thought that’s exactly what I had in my bedroom for ten years in HK.

I’d do that as well if they were as cheap here.

Plan on track watered. Low nutes and the Root Boost. (Cal Mag 0.6, A+B 2ml, Root Boost 0.2ml/L in that order then 0.16ml/L ph down and waited 15 minutes before testing) No silica or total added per the chart. I’m not made of money 😂

Plus Ph down. Lower than the chart recommends. Lower than they recommend the EC by a touch, low end of the Ph and probably the lowest I’ve ever had it but I am being incredibly cautious (for me)

But plants bouncing again. I was a bit naughty and fed the outdoor plants (in more of a soil mix) the same stuff as I was so happy with the mix even though its using Coco/Hydro blend nutes and I have the Soil version I could have used. For “naughty” you should just read “lazy” to be honest. I’ve left the feed chart for last as I genuinely don’t know if I can mention them as they’re not a sponsor here. So
i’ve kind cut the logos out. But all I’ve ever used and only thing in country in bulk so not a lot of choice!

So then the pen readings in, then the plants post watering. Also the plants aren’t evenly spaced and not neat. This is because those fans were the smallest I could get. I’m shifting them around every few hours and bunching them to protect from windburn or too much stress right now. Neatness can wait. This is TLC Mode. Its way windier in there than they need now but they needed better airflow than they had.

They had about 200ml each average. Only two went to run off. And then barely any. Some had just 100ml. Some more like 300ml
Droopy get minimal. Stretching have a bit more.

I watered them all outside the transplant line - I had to guess this with all but the problem one as they look/feel like they have amalgamated well with the new pots already, the problem one my Trim Manager (OK its my wife again!) Reckoned maybe a little thin at the bottom might help her concentrate upstairs. Happy to try that - the logic made sense to me. Also sort of/sort of not related I ordered some @DYNOMYCO today. maybe repot the problem one again with a dose of that? Anyone know if that’s likely to help?

She's the skinny one downstairs on the left of the pic below. New but probably temp fans in.

These are the inputs in I gave. The most carefully mixed and tested nute mix ever. Mostly because I did with my 3 year old daughter and she was very very strict with me! 🤣

Finally relevant bit of the chart from the Dutch Manufacturer.

Night everyone. Not every day is as easy as this one for sure so banking it and terrified about what’s gonna bite me unexpectedly tomorrow.

But light Co2 tomorrow I reckon for sure. i want these girls flipped so I can pop more seeds asap because, because - I like it so much! Need my mega strains on the grow soon!

This is very sound advice, that is well l timed.

Take out two droopies, water one. If nothing happens nothing’s lost…

Sorry (not sorry) for back-posting! Great thread (totally is) so far, wow.

Wow nearly forgot!

Yep I did this kind of testing that’s why it’s awesome you’re back and having a read because sure I got that idea off a post of yours a couple of months back Res! Happy you’re back and honoured and humbled you’re reading!

Cheers dude. ❤️

Nick

Just clarify (wow my Bruce Banner smoke gives me energy - that was 3 tokes 8 hours ago and still worried about getting to sleep!)

I’ve bunched the plants right up because there’s too much airflow if they’re close to the fans and I’ve been rotating them - they were more spaced out immediately after watering when the first photo was take. Because i needed space to water. The below photo is about an hour after watering and pleased with what I see. 30 minutes ago even the best had added a bit of droop. They’re already perking up again.

Fk 20 happy ladies tonight without breaking a single law - not even counting my wife snd daughter (also happy) How good is that?!

Tomorrow def gonna be horrible

😂

Plant I was was worried about went @InTheShed grows inside and out worried about went outside for some natural sun.
Sounds like a great idea! Not to long all at once...always good to harden them off if you decide to leave it there for some reason.
Finally relevant bit of the chart from the Dutch Manufacturer.
I used to use their silica until they no longer had it on Amazon. It was stronger than Stout MSA so it ended up being cheaper per gallon mixed. Now I'm using Front Row Ag silica which is even cheaper on a per gallon basis!

Thanks - tbh I bought a litre each of A/B Grow for the first grow. Soil version as all the shop next to my regular restaurant I work from had. Although I had a pure coco peat grow it worked out. I still have about a third of a bottle left of each. I added in a local guys stuff Exotic Energy for Cal Mag and Bloom Boost. I have no idea about silica - will have a read later. When I was ordering off the wholesaler I spent $360 for 81L but the silica and bloom are like $80 a litre so didn’t bother. You do remind me though that I need to order some more cal mag today.

Outdoor grow and indoors are looking 8/10 and 7/10 respectively. Indoor only got lights back 10 minutes ago though so will do some work and hopefully they wake up and have a little stretch.

AC off. Gas on. BUT leaving the inline extractor on full as well. It seems to stabilise around 850ppm like that which is fine for today (1200 in flower) . Sure a waste of some Co2 but really its like 25c USD a day I reckon or ooh - “a dime a day” always wanted to say that 😂

Yeah baby.

Happy as possibly could be having got home after 4 hours. Back on LST soon. Some of the Gorilla Glue got crazy lower growth its still too low for training but needs some investigation. Before my microsphone stands arrive for the nets/trellis and new fans. Just general usefulness that don’t take up much space.

A big thank you to @Thirvnrob for the mic stand idea. It is perfect for me.

Easiest job in the world. Chuck ‘em outside in the tropical sun. I expect a bug issue by tomorrow 😅

The main grow I’ll take a photo in an hour or three but bouncing progressively higher hour by hour. Was gonna lower the lights today. Glad I didn’t 😅

Do you have any bug spray as a preventative measure.
Because you are exactly right.
Your tents will be infested.
Morning Mucker. :ciao:

Yeah my mate bringing me some tomorrow.

It was always the biggest worry taking the one outside and re introducing it after. Part of the rational for trimming it. It got a thorough inspection.

No bugs yet. Just an example of how a good few days I know can turn nasty really quick.

Just made my first sale. Really emotional. Tomorrow a pic of it on the shelf at the dispensary.

He took the B grade at asking price - nearly bit my hand off but cash up only so wanted volume as reckons its amazing. Will buy more. Giving him some free A Grade as a gift and calling it BB Limitless rather than Bruce Banner. Renaming stuff here is common and he’ll charge more. Our kids are mates. He’s a lovely guy.

Dunno something primal about this stuff. Grow, consume - sell the excess at a price everyone is happy with.

A guy gave me a beautiful loaf of bread yesterday for an hour or so of time doing my day job for him. Beautiful. I charge 3 figures USD an hour normally. But that bread was spectacular.

Lights out in about 3 hours the main grow. So happy with ‘em. Nearly dropped the lights today but glad I didn’t. Did give them 5% more though to 55%. On the gas all day, no water for anyone but still moist at a 1-1.5” however they look. This some yellowing and droopy but pulling everything back worked, every hour they look better.

Plan tomorrow is leave as is in the morning and do a bit of copper cable individual plant based training. The net not sure we’ll use again. Also spread the pots out a bit more. They’re toughening up.

Rhy a bit low at 44% during the day and temp a bit high as 35c at times but with the Co2 not too worried. Just balancing that out with 3 lights not one. Responses all positive.

Different strains but average height about 40cm. I could flip in a couple of days I reckon but will train down to say 30cm or less and give them a week max. At this rate of growth.

Yeah hard get a good pic in an L shaped room!

These drip trays aren’t quite big enough for the airpots so are on other duties at the moment. But watering to run off is for tomorrow.

Loving the last couple of days. Lets see what comes next.

Oops yeah I edited and added this extra post, it happens but to salvage it I’ll edit this in -

The worst plant is front and centre in that picture. Skinny and droopy still.

But I’ve been “reading” them all and while they don’t look great now some of them in that picture they are all improving steadily. Some looks like 8/10 some like 7/10 and that one 6/10. That skinny one so much happier with than yesterday, this morning this arvo. I am getting better at “reading the question my plants are asking”

NST Level 2/10 - two days in a row! That won’t happen often 😂

Have some little bits of what look like nute burn.

Off my “perfect nute mix” 😅

Pretty sure I used the DP “Soil” in my Coco (Peat) I’m following the levels they recommend for the DP “Hydro/Coco” in the same Coco (Peat)

So next watering maybe this evening just dial it down and see tomorrow how they look.

Gas off. Regroup.

If you don’t have a little nute burn you aren’t pushing them hard enough.

Doing two mixes tonight. Super low and one with calmag only.

But the outdoor giant airpot is absolutely bouncing. Been rotating it once a day as it doesn’t get 360 degree sun. Tomorrow putting a @InTheShed style reflector behind it.

The SIP ok. Still wetter than I’d like but first timer so what do I know. Plant looks good. Topped it.

And just delivered some product and collected some hard cash. That felt pretty awesome.

The full home style dehumidifier is allegedly in the country so hopefully here tomorrow.

Water system being done at the weekend.

All pretty good.
