Nick Hardy's Big Grow 2023 Gorilla Glue Skunk 11 OG Kush Coco Peat Co2 Mars Hydro

Being in this journal is fun as hell Nick, I must tell you. Very entertaining. Extremely educational for noobs like me. And did I mention extremely jealousy-inducing? Fricking Thailand fgs. With a relatively unlimited budget (seemingly). Yeah, I’ll admit it, I’d trade places with you in a NY second. Bravo and good for you. Would it be asking too much to see a bit of the environment around your place? Not many countries more beautiful than Thailand from what I’ve seen.
Thank you but Its only my second grow 🤣

I’m not made of money but my real job pays OK - also everything small is around 20% the price here. Lights are about the same price, everything else is way cheaper.

Here’s a picture of some banana trees (and Jenny on the block)

I’ll try and figure somewhere interesting to put the SIP later to keep it on topic for the mods.

Busy morning. Potted 24 seeds, had a generator wired in to cover the power cut today (bonus - guy discovered one of the main cables is frayed into the house - reckons its costing us $75 a month extra in leakage so its getting repaired tomorrow pays half the cost of the jenny)

Girls looking good today. Been focussing on the lighter ones this week - not really changing anything just watching and hoping! But they are all darkening up. The contrast with the others is still there but in the close up you can better see the darkening up. Its closer to how the look with the eye.

Busy day! Hopefully builders here to do the irrigation system this afternoon.

Damn that's in the middle of the road? There are no privacy issues at your neck of woods? What a cool place to live.
The next house along is the district Mayor’s. No one bugs us here. We good neighbours, we know all the local land owners and help out where we can. Cops don’t come bother people here unless its the shack kids stealing. Old school. 😂 Plus its legal and I was covered by CCTV.

And I was standing next to my bakkie, my bru, you can’t come between a man, his plant and his bakkie bru. 😂

Is that the 150.00 dollar jenny? If yes then that’s a great deal 👍. CL🍀

Like I know its extreme🤷, we could have winged it and moved them around the house for the day but this was really quickly achievable between me and the Plant (Hardware Div) Manager and me. And really such a bonus because he discovered and measured our power loss between the meter and the main circuit board. Wasted money. We suspected it but never found it. They were gonna replace the meter and charge me for the pleasure. Which wouldn’t have fixed the problem. So I got the Jenny for free. Not many people can say that! Because in three months max I’ll have saved the $150 in electricity bills.

Very very serendipitous!

Seeds. 21 seeds, 3 strains. Two of which have never been grown on 420 Magazine that I can see. From the original creator/breeder. Been waiting literally months to feel I can be trusted to grow them.

Sadly that time hasn’t yet come 😂

But they’re getting bagged and tagged tonight anyway.

Nick
Exciting!

Yep. $150 full home power gas included for a day. And pointed out I’m over paying $75 a month for something that takes $20 to fix.

Super good deal!
Nick, is that powering your whole home, do you have electrical or gas appliances?

Have another journal with the 24 seeds potted this morning link below in my sig. Its been a fairly huge day!

Our stuff is similar to an SA home. We have a borehole that goes into a couple of tanks, one underground that then feeds one on the roof. We have two stories.

We fill the nute tank on the ground floor on a separate system that feeds the plants upstairs.

We don’t have a hot water tank or “geyser” as called in your neck of the woods - they’re just on demand electrical hot water heaters in the bathrooms. For cooking we have a couple of electrical induction stoves on the kitchen island and a quad burner gas hob that’s fed from a bottle they come and replace for $10 once every six weeks.

That jenny will power the whole house even I turn on all the AC and grow lights the guy reckons. Proper job. And he found my leakage so super happy!

Very nice Nick. That's a good jenny. I doubt I'd find one here for $150... what a price! Can you give me the specs please so that I can google and check prices out of interest?

Honestly van’t stress enough this is over the top. We could have wherled them around and both the ladies and us would have been stressed. So sure we went OTT but we won the long term electrical saving and saved the stress all round. Super Duper lucky

Sure - when I spoke about the gas I meant the gas - diesel to run it is included.

Its one of these.

50kva delivering 180 or so volts due to my cabling loss from 220 I think. Maybe. But yeah he reckoned good for whole home full chat.

Its silent too! My aquarium pump is louder!

Who's jenny?
What's it running a football stadium?
Holy cow I could run some lights with that bugger.
Where are the banners?

What tank capacity do you have for diesel Nick?

Its a one day rental gig power promised constant from 8:30 - 5:30 so no idea. They promised to run it. But the plate suggests 160 litres as its the KG difference between Net and Working weight 160KG so close enough 1kg a litre diesel.

This is awesome.

The runt of the litter, but cut to the quick with yellow and brown curling stripped tips just a week ago. I can t actually find a picture of how bad she was - such was my shame!

Feed ‘em 5.8 in like it says on the can and life is copacetic! I mean she’s a shorter firmer girl than her siblings but 2’ for a shorty less than 3 weeks of flower? Yeah I’m well pleased 😃

Hahahaha, I just checked local suppliers using those specs. Between R115 and R120 k, so completely out of the question at this moment in time.... there may however come a time.

That's a serious generator!

Now get (and keep) that SIP plant fed so it can revel in that SIP glory we all love so much. Seriously dude, that plant is giving  me stress.

:laughtwo:
@Carmen Ray that’s to buy, I guess? After like the 2004/5 stuff first load shedding a serious generator business would have setup. You’d be getting competitive prices there because someone in China will have build ten factories to make them. All the main text on that one is in Chinese. We don’t have an endemic electricity supply issue but there is a multi year infrastructure upgrade going on so announced days out are a thing. Renting better than buying I reckon - for us. I was in the Republic I’d be all over it.

@Azimuth Haha! Thought it might induce a stress reaction in you! I’m over the idea of adding to the jpurnal with trips further afield. She’s just too damn pretty!
