Nick Hardy's Big Grow 2023 Gorilla Glue Skunk 11 OG Kush Coco Peat Co2 Mars Hydro

Asked the Purchasing Manager where I could buy some bamboo poles for the outdoor plants.

Got a “Pfft” in response and she gestured me to the Engineering and Manufacturer Manager.

Technically thats not our bamboo as its being used as scaffolding on the house build opposite but they get food and drink off us at lunch so I’m ok with it being “ethically sourced” bamboo

🤣

Just looked at my favourite graph
Lol you have a favorite graph! :nerd-with-glasses:
5 minutes later there’s a commotion. The guy has got up, fallen into the table in front of him and thence on to the floor and is being helped up to make his way to the toilet.
And the lesson here is don't mess with the wrong terp profile!
I’ll flip ‘em by turning off their nightlights. That’ll be fun to see how long it takes. Reckon my main worry is hermies from the street lights
That and the fact that the days are getting longer. You might get a reveg before you get a chance to hermie. :hmmmm:

Its 12/12 here in the tropics 365 days a year. 5 minutes +/- So day length not the thing. This is the dry season for another 3 months and when it rains then it really rains so want to flip soon.

You see the problem - I’ve suddenly engaged sith these outdoor girls and now I have another worry! Making work. Saying I didn’t care. 🤥

I’d like to say thank you to @Mars Hydro Today I got a new free replacement controller pictured arranged by the Thai/Shenzhen offices even though I said “I think the builder dropped it” That’s really nice service and much appreciated.

Expect a follow up picture of it hooked up because with that the room only has two steps to go to finished.

🙏🏼 again Mars Hydro

Really going to have light issues soon….

Anyway all pretty happy this morning. In the picture you can see the lightest one bottom left. Definitely getting darker every day from the inside of leaves its spreading outwards. Same as the others (not as light as that) The bast majority are a rich green. Just holding the food at a steady 5.8 in and getting the same out now. By this time tomorrow I reckon they’ll be near enough the same colours allowing for strain differentials. Of course the soil nutes I mixed for outdoors yesterday now come out at perfect Ph 5.8 😂 Used to be 6.5. But I use Multi Total and something else non standard now so that might account for it. Or my well water has changed Ph since rainy season. It seems like its a perfect 7 at the moment. Think it was a bit higher before.

I sense Ziplok bags in my future today. Fingers crossed. But I’ve been saying that for ages. Not to be trusted me 😅 I’m nervous to be honest. Its my Graduation Grow.

So thank you again @Mars Hydro Denice sent me the PDF manual this morning too. All plugged in and working. I need to move the sensor a bit. Its not that warm nor is the humidity that high - Dehumidifier sensor needs a move and the ducting adjusting to draw from the bottom of the tent. Plus program the Inkbird for time (currently on a wall timer) so I can plug the Mars thermo into that to clear stale Co2 air between blasts and overnight. That’s just a little bit of work for later. One huge and probably fairly easy improvement to the controller - give it wifi, please!

Irrigation system at the weekend and the room is done. I promise my darling Facilities Manager.. 😂

Greenhouse build next 🤣

I like your inkbird better, mines a lot bigger n heavier. CL🍀

Because of their height?
Yeah. Going to group by height today. Its not a huge issue. The room is 8ft. Less say a foot for lights and spacing. Less 18” for pots and drainage. 5’6” plants horizontal space is also an issue though in terms of super cropping.

Think we’ll be ok. Just a bit of rejigging. Got a day or so still. Ideally this stretch lasts another week and then they start filling out buds instead. Just with the issues before kept putting off any real training which I can’t do again with a couple of the strains I’m growing next. Badass sativas.

A good problem to have really.

That just does Co2 control. I have one in the veg tent and their humidity controller for that as well that will run the domestic free standing Dehumidifier in there.
Not a bad word to say about Inkbird. All really solid stuff. They sent me a new Co2 sensor for free too. The first one was stuck on reading 420 all the time 😂

Popped. Mulling another journal for them so took some photos. See names are indicative. Two sativas and an “indy” These are for my most commercial grow so keeping the strains under my hat as no one else has them here although two of them are well known. One is perhaps the most winningist Sativa of all time. 8x each.

So popping. I like to start them poolside with some water straight out the pool for a 30 minute soak.

Madness it is not. Out pool is an “Ozone” pool and according to the owner the company my hydrogen peroxide level was 35ppm as it always is. They check twice a week. There’s no chlorine or salt or anything in there.

Then I made up a little 5.8 well water. So hard Ph adjusting such a small amount of water. 0.5ml took me to Ph 3 so added more well water until back up.

Had no need of that much water either!

Then ZipLok bags and paper towel. But the secret trick? Princess Elsa Goddess of Germination. We will leave them in the dark warm room of which she rules and wait for the tapping.

Nick

I staked fairly roughly the outdoor GG. Think tomorrow after noon i’ll probably add another one when I see which way its going.

The other one we ran out of bamboo so the factory is making some more this evening. We want to do a teepee type thing with that.

Good morning Amigo :ciao:
Your place looks like Toy's Are US for Growers.:thumb:
You have mad leaps and bounds in mere weeks.
I suggest you be careful though.
Bringing those girls in and out will be a source of entry for pests. :Namaste:
I've done it to harden off clones and infected a room.
Just 2 cents, everything looks fantastic. :high-five:
I'm well impressed. ;)
Take care.

Sounds like solid advice as always Bill, would hate for an experimental outdoor crop to ruin all those healthy ladies inside.

Ha - totally excellent advice.

Those girls? In my house? No these are basically my sunlight testers for the greenhouse light. Honestly if there was a Royal Commission In To The Mistreatment of Cannabis Plants they’d lock me up and throw away the key!

I haven’t been kind. No inside for those girls and no outside for the the other girls apart from once early on. Totally separated. Paranoid about it! 😆

That’s awesome high praise Bill. Much appreciated. Sure I have a healthier budget than nearly anyone to spend. No dodging that when equally worthy growers are changing their bed size to grow how they can. But I do also put a lot pf research and thinking time in. Calibrating myself was more important than calibrating any pen tester. Plus my partner. She gets every bit of it that can’t be quantified instinctively. Her eyes reading the plants are priceless.

In a good place. Reckon we empty the current mix Friday night by which time:

All even green colour

Light/Height issues solved

New irrigation system installed and operational.

So Saturday we flush properly with a basic mix I like. No A/B no Bloom Explode etc. 5 gallons through each pot. No clean up.

Sunday we bang the EC to 3.0 - make sure the Rh is solid 45% and temp max 27c and go to the end.

Its going to be a mega few days. Because I got 24 seeds popping too 🤣
