Remember to mention that to your daughter when she comes home with an 87.5% on her math test about formula mixing.Gives me 21/24 which is a bit disappointing

The soil peat is they are in is little “proud” of the coco peat they are in. So sort of @Bill284 method homage. Part useful we feel like we want water a little more with the moat effect - the perlite on the top looks (because is was) thrown on casually but we could tidy it up pretty quick to make a nice moat. Finally - I’m not sure what they’re gonna do with a new medium and light and myriad. And why the sprinkling of perlite on the surface?
Until the wetness causes it to turn an algae green. And noone wants that.So being the cautious type perlite is white and reflects light. Light that is being reflected isn’t being used to dry the plants out.
Maybe. Looks nicer too, you know that’s important to me!
Ahh - I know what you mean!Until the wetness causes it to turn an algae green. And noone wants that.
From what I recall, water roots are different from soil roots, so moving them back into pots might take some time for them to adjust back and forth, which might not get you a net time gain in the end.Have a fun idea.
I have a @Mars Hydro Hydroline12 cloning machine.
Not sold officially here and out of stock everywhere.
I want to try and get the spares up to speed with rhe ones in solos. Think I might chuck them in pure hydro for a few days. That will be a fun experiment. Like pump the nutes in the tank even. Reckon keep it 5.8 and 1.2 probably fine
