There was an issue with a COD order for the many coloured solos. Think the driver got the hump need to check. They would normally SMS there’s a redelivery but they haven’t. I think he’s still got them in his truck for not having anyone at home to pay/sign when he turned up unannounced. Should probably follow up.Damn, I was really hoping for a wide array of colors!
The strawberry can go in reds. Have them on hand. There will be eye rolling from & Co. No doubt
but she will see the use case.I have orange, lime green and pink somewhere out there in the ether with an angry Thai delivery guy.
My stop gap is blue solos on terracotta trays.
I feel its a bold look.
Probably get on the solo cup issue later today after a sales meeting the other end of the dreaded road and over a hill with a road that I love, you can take it so fast. Lovely sequence of curves and passes my old place so I know it well.
But one lane fell off the side of the hill it traverses like two years ago because bad design, heavy rains, no maintenance and covid restricted repairs and its still being repaired. Oh and the inside lane - there was a rockfall there too because such heavy rains last two years. After that has been successfully navigated (twice) I’m on the solo cups fo sho!
Its important to label more than once. We’ll have wooden stakes in clear, nice bamboo ones, colour coded cups and then from 3G Linen to 5G black or white airpots depending on A/B grow with duct tape labels in a variety of colours that follow them
Attention to labelling is all it is. Same like anyone.

When we got the house the garage auto door was a bit rusty and needed painting so I got this local Thai girl to do the Tintin artwork on the garage door because I love Tintin and street art and she did a “Tropical Tintin design” and sanded off the rust and repainted the rest of the door. Her Uncle mostly did that bit. Really talented lady. Does huge murals for businesses.Love the mural.

When our now 3 and half year old (going on 14 at times it seems) was closer to two she kept touching my TV with her greasy fingers so had her the girl came back and paint (water soluble so comes off) fire on the floor round TV to teach the kid not stand there.fire gotta be careful of fire…
She jumps around off the rock in the middle now which is probably more dangerous
The TV is a weird (which I like) easel stand thing. Not a black slab on the wall. The lady is also meant to be doing the illustrations for the children’s book I wrote mostly in covid lockdown about a little girl who lives in a place a lot like where we live. Tropical island, gangsters stealing sand and possibly magical but more likely technological hacks (Papa drives a big truck he turned into electrical) and there’s a tunnelling machine and water pressure and turtles and the value of water. But ultimately a little girl that finds a tunnelling machine and saves the day.
Yeah that book (first book I’ve written and finished!) but yeah she got busy because she’s very good and we both got busy got busy so that hasn’t happened and yeah still have the fire on the floor!
Currently feeding. The 3rd gas pipe can wait. Put 5.9 in because that’s what it was. More often left over night it pops to 6.2 or 6.1 and I go down. A bit rushed and figured close enough, especially with these weird out numbers. EC looks in the 3+
They all look if possible better than - couple pf hours ago.

As long as I feed to run off I never get a build up.
A good flush to be on the safe side won't hurt though.
Better to do it before a problem occurs.

Don’t know something tells me I’m sticking such high EC out there all the time maybe a give them a rest on occasion. Although that grow is where I’m not so worried about making mistakes. Graduation with the Straws/Islands/Indy’s is where the last mistakes are meant to made - I mean obviously there will be more but less “experimental” mistakes.

Ok C02 and lights can increase nutrient uptake.
But they will only eat what they want to eat.
You can't force feed more than they want.
The rest is flushed through.
So 4.4 ec?
Even at a 500 scale that's 2200 ppm.
Late flower I might boost the odd feed to 1800 ppm.
But anything over 1500 isn't being used IMO.
Regardless of lights heat and C02.
Learn how to read your girls grasshopper and you can target nutrients when required.
Instead of a kitchen sink approach.
In the meantime what's the ppm of a basic mixture of your nutrient schedule as directed ?
With calmag?

They’re going in at about 12.5% above recommended by the nutes manufacturer for A/B after a high Cal Mag dose. Because Co2.
We’re alternating weeks as suggested by them and using some of DP’s other products as well. Some aminos in the Total and the Explode booster for flower. All I’ve upped similar like 12% kinda values. Which I’m good with becUse they are on the gas and have the light, warmth and humidity to maximise the high EC - studies show over 3.0 is wasted EC. EC to PPM is not perfectly correlated.
They go in 5.8 - 3.0-3.2 and 1800ppm classic.
The ph down thing takes a few minutes only. I know depending on the tank size left how much to syringe in Ph Down to get it to 5.8. Give it a stir. I hit 5.8 and takes 5 minutes. No drama.
Out is where the fun is.
I haven't been playing the Ph on the way in at all (well not for a week or two) but have been seeing some wild numbers out.

4.1 Ph, 3.8 EC and 1800ppm would be typical the last few days. 4.1-4.4 range on the Ph. 3.4 - 4.4 EC would be the ranges. We saw that woth the last grow.
1800 PPM standard across all. Was more like 2400 with the last grow.

Honestly they’re fine tomorrow I might even stop Ph testing or changing at all.

But yeah. Think they are just using lots of it all. Filler is out at the moment. Ybeybare hoovering stuff up, growing well and leaving a less alkaline run off.

Seedling under lights. About to give them a light dusting of the same nutes their doped sisters are getting upstairs. Lower the lights turned them up and def on the gas, own circuit tomorrow.
I’m thinking move the SIP outside. With hydro nutes.

Get rid of the purple light for seedlings tomorrow.
Move the whole blue franken light sans nice purple lights (nicer for AirBnB customers its like just a soft warm purple reading light that smells vaguely of weed! If you think I would ever rent out a room in my house - honestly & Co would she thought she could turn a dollar She’d quickly realise before acting on it more trouble than its worth because me. She’s the brains. (me its hard enough with comings and goings of people wearing hats with out guests)

Putting the later mega nutter pure hydros in the whole blue tray in the tent under the @Mars Hydro FCE4800 light. We’ll tun them hydro style still but they’l be franken Ver 2. Because the hydro light with that specific light spectrum. They lose their purple friendly Japanese thing. The now closer Mars Hydro light has been comforting though.
Tomorrow we go through the gears.

We are merging our nute ranges because I just threw some of the slightly amped nutes from spares into the trays of the solos. Humidity. Wick effect maybe. But we are balancing what they get there.
I reckon a day more in hydro (we’ll give ‘em a day with their light hydro light and their older sisters current light. A tickle of the same nutes for the olders and hope to bring them closer. We’ll maybe leave them another day before trying to standardise in Solos (without the hydro light - can remove the light and leave the pump circulating the water.
Oh and gas. Yeah everything getting Co2 tomorrow. Like a new separate bottle and reg for the seedlings tent if I’m moving stuff about

The roots in the Spares look like they’re coming along though and rich green (they have nutes already) But they’re just downwards so far. Classic hydro I guess. When we put them in solos we need to get them to grow outwards. Dunno & Co napping. Ask her when she wakes up but I’m leaning towards solos and coco today before they get too long on the vertical. Try and force them to look in other places?

Yeah a bit of dispute in approaches between me & Co
The seedlings in solos are hitting the sides with roots now. They looked pale/light to me so was gonna nute them. They now look better but turns out & Co had already nuted them (not sure she meant to)
She has the hump about the SIP I moved out of that room because she has an Azi like love for that plant
I’m like need room for FrankenLightHydro contraption “look at the roots.”

There’s a whole bit on light shock where ai try and deflect with look at the SIP. Light shock. She says “I would if it was on the tent but you moved it”
She wants to leave the hydro exactly as is (I want to cut the super glue holding the cheapo tubes and put in the tent under the now free 4800 space.

I’m going to bin the T8 at 2am and then from 8am tomorrow they’ll be on the same 18/6 schedule as downstairs. That should lessen any shock. I would think the budget veg/clone light spectrum from Mars is probably pretty similar to the Mid Range (for commercial) FCE4800 light spectrum. Maybe we don’t need that extra step. We do need to get them synced on the 8am-8pm (2am in Veg) cycle as everything else at some point.

So compromise agreed. I’m alarm setting and it involves 2am - either one to wake up and change the lights or one that makes sure I’m up to work in the morning
Kid has her foot on face to be decided.
& Co has fed the ones in solos nutes. From the ones for soil in full veg (full of @DYNOMYCO I can tell because they are rusty red towards the bottom) they’re also at Ph 6.5 and high EC. At least 1.8.
I don’t this when I make the nutes for them from now on. Just knew I needed a label
And hoped the future In Laws didn’t show up
Ph’ing it was an absolute pain but I did up and down and all around to get to the magic number. 5.8 because that’s the discipline.
I nearly gave up at 5.9 twice
Anyway I thought I’d made then banging, gave them everything, filler and all, but actually quite light on the way out. Turns out I was lighter on the A/B than maybe a normal person would use in a weeks more growth.

6.4 1.8 1400 this morning
Then they’re a bit dry so this evening,
5.8 1.4 900
But yeah screw up different bottles and different nute ranges but nice save. well hope so but maybe, well more than maybe this happened on the last grow but we saved it. I think that’s why I have the range to fix it quicker this time.

All in (blue) solos. The originals are root balling to the sides nicely. Up pots from hydro layered with perlite inside this time.
Have too many plants. All being well we’ll just have some extra mothers though

All looking Okish. One Strawberry wasn’t probably ready for repot and a bit slow. Little lighter coloured. I checked the light recommendations. Lowered the lights a bit and turned them down a bit. Based on @Mars Hydro instructions for Non Co2 the FCE4800’s are at 12” and 25% dim now. They were higher and more powerful earlier. Early signs of some stretch. Which should slow that.
The older plants are all roots to the clear cup walls. Not thickly but I could see a repot for those in 3 days maybe? See if the newer ones catch up or we are repotting to 3G fabric in two stages. We are aiming to repot all to 5G same day and put in the flower room and flip together. So we have choices on how to manage that.
The younger ones no roots I spotted to the walls yet, only been a day though And I think & Co watered the coco without fresh @DYNOMYCO so they just got in their feed mix which is not ideal.
They look good. Lots of them. Photo later as gotta run to the steel shop, but really not perfect looking right now but no concerns. I’m trying to be more Zen about this stage.

And I think & Co watered the coco without fresh @DYNOMYCO so they just got in their feed mix which is not ideal.They look good. Lots of them. Photo later as gotta run to the steel shop, but really not perfect looking right now but no concerns. I’m trying to be more Zen about this stage.

Haha I really try to stay out of it. In the picture below you can roots hitting the sides. Just a Phase 1 plant at random. They have perlite between the two cups and we were adding water from top and to the plastic trays to encourage a bit of SIP/Hydro. They look a bit over watered. The Phase 2’s have a layer at the bottom and half way up and look better. But they came from hyrdo to pots. I think we might got to 3 G fabric for Phase 1 in three - four days. Not sure Phase 2 - we have lots of 1G plastic ones we used on the other grow. Maybe put the Phase 2’s in those. Last time they went solo - 1G - 5G in 4 days. Maybe we catch the Phase 2’s up like that. But yeah we’re kind of playing around with hydro for some, then a but of this wicking/swicking stuff then just pure coco for full veg sure we’ll @Bill284 a bit with some perlite layers for air.same for flower.
Not sure, make sure we let let them get nice and dry before next feed which is fine. & Co all over it.
So yeah I am def the assistant here. Because who’s idea was the water in the trays?! She went in to check for evening watering and the tray water was gone and the coco wet. Greedy gits
They have light and food. For 5 more hours, recover tomorrow and then Monday picking up their dedicated gas cylinder and going to give it to them lightly. Probably dropped near the Phase 2’s - added catch up value.
@Mars Hydro I need to check but say 8” and 50% for seedlings with Co2. We’re at 12” and 25% now. Reckon they’ll replace my seeds it doesn’t work out?

Weird night. Its in off topic. Most of it. Had maybe the penultimate bit of the very sativa led Bruce Banner that make me talk too much. Just ask Azi
Anyway I was trying to be zen about the seedlings and saying yep not me all & Co too wet.
We got home late because my truck was blocked in by a water truck trying to… too much. My truck is fine but just taxied home via picking up & Co from a bar where she’d been playing pool with friends. Yeah great
But I’d have been buying her fine wines I saw how these improved through the day.
Watch the water. Check the light settings. Some comments - there’s some yellowing low down on some Phase ones, that’s likely the mistaken nutes thing, meh. We’ll fix that.
The Harry’s or Phase 2 S I now call them, there’’s a Strawberry that’s a bit slower and dimmer than the rest so having not named a plant in the other grow (bit busy for that) this one will get a name and the little strawberry is gonna be called “Harry”
I’d like our Harry to survive - preferably without getting ridiculed on South Park bit yeah 27 plants. We need 21 for flower, 7 of each. 1 mother of each, maybe more. Need to check the numbers but 98%+ We’re really close to where I feel comfortable now.
The hydro's (Phase two) missed a nute shock and can see are darker.
Coco dried out nicely. They’ll want some food by lunch I think. Season changing. Need to watch the environment because in tent outside. Think I’ll ready the portable dehumidifier tomorrow. I need to biy another one for drying elsewhere which is really annoying money - they are like 3x the price here to HK. It pains me.
But yeah. I’m dead happy. 96% or something I think to here. I think - need to check what’s left. Lost 2 have 27 - need double check but pretty sure 29 went in. Whatever. I’m happy. Not perfect but high standard. Room for improvement.
