So I got my new light
What a dissapointment
It was the KingPlus 1000watt. I know its a cheaper light but..
It never came with the sunglasses or hanging system it was supposed to.
And when I turned it on... lol
it had 44 blue lights instead of 14
it had 36 red instead of 71.
It is still bright but that will not be good for flowering.
I contacted amazon and they are refunding my money. I need to find a new flower light again...

Thank you!!
Most are a little out of my price range
And I think shipping would kill me, I am sure those come from the US
Amazon is letting me keep the KINGPLUS even after a refund. I think itd make a good veg light.
I just ordered a GalaxyHydro 300. It is 8:1 ratio of red to blue. and has IR and UV its only 300watt but that with my 2 mars hydro 300's shouldgive me all the light I need

Oh here is a pic of the StankClip® I was referring to. It's a short piece of pipe cleaner you put on the new growth that connects it to the fan leaf below it, as soon as it will fit. Then as the new shoots grow out you slide it further along to keep the shoot growing out instead of up. It makes it easier to train the new growth early rather than having to wait until it's big enough to actually tie down.

Here is the original post.

This is Van's quickie explanation:
The little "C" clips are used to kind of guide the top shoots out the sides more instead of letting the growth just shoot straight up. You can slide the clip out the length of the fan leaf as the shoot continues to grow.

I am curious how much water they usually take?
I was getting 10% runoff on feedings and waterings in smaller pots
Since going to these 3 gallon bags I havent got runoff or saw any..
When I feed and water I was mixing 1 gallon. These 3 gallon pots probably need more than half gallon on each???

Day 26
My first ever attempt at LST
I can see how doing this a bit earlier might be better. Really train it to the shape I want.
My new beans arrived today
:)

So a few questions
1. How soon until I see signs of gender? Is the only way to find out after flowering has began?
2. When should I start to flower? Should I top again first? Then wait a week? Do I have time(room)?
3. When it is time to flower, do I just change my timer to 12/12 overnight? Or should I make it gradual?
Thanks again for all the help. I truly appreciate it

Most plants show sex between 45 and 60 days, but those are very loose numbers depending on a load of variables.
Here's an article on identifying the sex of your plants.

I would wait for the new tops to grow before flipping them so you can get the most bud for the time, energy, and money. I wouldn't worry about the height now, you can always train outward and supercrop if you have to.

Many tent growers will do 24 hours of dark and then go to 12/12 with the dark period to line up with whatever is convenient in terms of heat, sleep, and light (if the tent isn't quite light-proof).
