It's shameful to hear reports of all the "nasty's" found in some bottled water. Some people buy it thinking it's quality is controlled but they're so wrong.

I have great well water as well. If I drink any chlorinated city water, its a minimum.

I can't drink my city water... and I wasn't giving my pets or plants any of it either. But the water delivery guys has his eyebrow raised over the amount of water I'm going through, so I started using city water on plants. I let it sit out for 24 hours and put in PH down. I haven't noticed that they don't like it....although I wouldn't be happy if I had to drink that stuff.

I was only 16yrs old when I started the crops. 22yrs ago so mistakes were bound to happen. I split the plants into 3 plots spread out. Everyone just gave me their seeds so I had so many but didn't know anything about growing or germination, I just stuck them in the dirt but lo and behold about half grew with only one male. We didn't have the Internet to use so it was a guessing game. I also told nobody so no help. So it wasn't my fault just teenage ignorance. It was devastating but at the same time I learned that 1 male can be incredibly strong. I'm pretty sure I pollinated 2 of the spots by getting pollen all over me and transferring it where ever I went. I'm actually glad it happened. 22yrs later I have learned so much.

Damn right. I actually bought an old used Ed Rosenthal book on growing and used his knowledge before we hit the Internet age. Also learned about high times. I still read it to this day even though I can get all my info off my phone. Oh my God! I'm old!

When I found the males and the open pods I still needed to do some work on my girls but I was scared of pollen being on me. I went home vaccum the car and cleaned it... then I stripped in my laundry room then stright to the shower. I even washed my hair...got changed and went over to finish my work on the plants.
Soo many things were a guessing game back then... I remember my hubby saying the same.. "the old timers have this or that " when they grow..

I have not seen my plants in two days....I just have not been feeling like moving and although they are a five minute drive away....I just couldn't move to the car. I am now waiting for this wonderful....much needed thunderstorm to be over so I can go ck on them
