New Moon Over Guawi: A High Brix Journey

Okay I must try this cob. Would someone please point me in the direction where one researches this technique?

Looks great Gazoo! I might have missed it, but when you were drying at what point did you decide to jar? Stem snap feel of the buds? Also great job sneaking right on up to 61%RH on the cure. I like to try and hit that as well. I do find that I play the bouncing back and forth game with regards to curing. Up to 65%RH down to 61. I did recently try Shed's rice ball tutorial. My garage was too humid last week around 68% so opening the jar was actually raising the jar RH%. Ugh nasty game it is ;) I get to rambling buddy. :goodjob:

Actually I don't think I posted the Drying Process So I will be happy to explain.

First Most IMPORTANT thing here is the BOVIDA packs will Kill the Smell if
used to lower the RH. In MY EXPERIENCE it caused a HAY type smell YUK !!!

Went back to my old way. Set up my spare room with a De-Humidifier and
a Humidifier both set using there onboard range settings to hold the room
environment at 70F and 50 RH.

I want a slow dry, as slooooow as possible so Room Environment was set at
70F and 50RH (+ OR - A few points). Room Environment ran between 66 & 70 F
(Ran at the lower temps )and 47 to 53 RH (50 RH Mostly).
Hung for 5 days.

Smaller stems would snap but the larger stems would bend not snap.
At that point I removed all the Buds from the stems and Jared. Once the closed
jars rose to 65RH (think it took 24hrs ?) I opened until 60/61 RH This has been the
process for the last 4 days and they are now stabilizing at 63/64 RH, Once I get a steady
62 RH I will place an Oxygen Absorber in each Jar and then Vacuum seal them until needed

Thats great thank you Gazoo! I tried paper bag drying again this last harvest and Im happy with the results I think. Ive been cursed by hay-smelling buds before. Thought I could get away with just hanging em' in my garage my first grow. Yuck.

If I had to guess I would say the BOVIDA Packs pull to much moisture to fast if used to soon.
Maybe good to Re-Hydrate or stabalize after, but not part of the cure

I wanted to try the SLOW CURE in the refrigerator but still looking for a small office type on CC cheap:laugh:

Just noticed the suction caused by the Oxygen Absorbers are pulling in the JUICE :reading420magazine:

I used an old Glass Cigar Tube filled with 3 Oxygen Absorbers so only one end is open

Next time if I leave more room at the bottom of the tube I should be able to collect the
RED JUICE what ever it is ? I just call it "COB JUICE" or Essence of Terror

Thanks for the link to Tangwena's method as written by Sue. That flow chart is awesome, honestly. I might be confident enough to try this. How much smell is around during this whole process? I have a sensitive situation inside the home with regards to cannabis smells.

I have no problem with the smell issues at all. But I do live alone and may be nose blind  . Never had
company mention any odor issues so I think I'm good
