New City Grower 3.5 - Our Perpetual Grow - Continued

Max, Pita, Carestaker, Darkgrow, Cajun, & Hozona: Thanxx...

Outstanding as always my friend & helper..... Now put that new light to work :peace:
We will Chopper, as soon as the new tent arrives. It'll be featured in our new upcoming journal. It won't be a Perpetual Grow but we'll us much bigger pots & try to grow a few monsters.

QUICK UPDATE
April 23, 2015

BAG SEED / DRY WEIGHT

We chopped her only 3 days ago but she dried out, too dry for my preference.

So I put a piece of moist sponge in the jar to restore some of the moisture.

And here's her replacement in the Bloom Tent:

SLEESTACK X SKUNK (Re-Veg) Day 48 / Day 1 under 12/12

As I said the other day, we're extending veg periods a little. Let's see how she performs after 48 days of veg.

And now for the bad news:

BERRY KUSH 1 & 2
(Autos) Day 54 under 18/6

IMG_00012134.jpg

Now I'm not sure what happened here. They were both planted on the same day in the same medium. The only difference is #1 was planted in a SIP while #2 was in a regular 2lt pot which is really puzzling since we seem to get healthier results in the SIPs.
The reservoir wasn't empty and she's been drinking as you'll see below. She has been looking a little weak as of late but I didn't expect to come home to this. We cut off the top; which is just as droopy, in an attempt to clone her in case she doesn't bounce back.

How are the roots on the berry kush?

guess who's got internet again :smoke2:

gotta do some catching up here, have a happy freeweeday meanwhile :)

A wet sponge probably works but it just doesn't sound appetizing. Also sponges can carry a lot of bacteria in them.

I have only used bread and orange peels before.

Maybe a slice of apple?

:Namaste:
This isn't my first time using pieces of sponge to moisten over dried buds Scarfinger. It works pretty well but the next time I may try using a piece of fruit, it sounds like it'll add flavor as well. Thanxx.

Pretty good Pita, this one has me stumped. I have no idea what's going on. The reservoir even got lower so she's still drinking but where is it going?

At least the top cutting bounced back.

Good to have you back Brother.

Congratulations on your new light!! :dreamy: That is exiting! And congrats also on the harvest! Bummer about your droopy girl. Weird. Hope that top roots for you.

Weird indeed Magic.

Good progress going on Still:goodjob: Iv a similar toping to to urs (hight and size wise) and i had it in water for about a week and a bit, looking green still but no roots. And then when i put it under light in a soil cube it yellowed up and dyed of looking quick.
Kinda expected something similar to happen under a stong enough light, since cuttings dont have much food to rely on etc.
Hows the smoke form a SIP plant to one in soil? and are ur smaller plants any less potant to others ? :peace:

What's up Indo. I actually find the smaller plants to be more potent but it probably has a lot to do with us being more in tune with our grow now than I was when I was using bigger pots. Nearly all our SIPs are in soil. We just recently started attempting soiless growing using a perlite mix. The SIP (Sub Irrigation Planter) is just a controlled way of feeding the medium as it uses a wick to draw from the reservoir. The reason roots come through the cap is they're reaching for the feed.
