New City Grower 3.5 - Our Perpetual Grow - Continued

I am new here and thought I would pop in and say hi. Don't worry I know the fluxing rules and your all a bunch of...

...nice people.

I have read all your journals cover to cover; they really are a great resource for a new grower with so many contributors. Not only that but they are humorous, with some great story arcs (first Laverne, then the bitter sweet tale of the mutant honey haze and then more street girls) to captivate the reader. I have learned so much along the way.

Also my newbie senses are tingling; I know it is to late now but the auto which died a few pages back, if I had to guess I would say over watered. Would love it if an experienced grower would offer an opinion so I know what to look for.

I do not believe the cause of the Berry Kush #1 was from over watering. Reg has provided a photograph of the reservoir level also showing drilled holes at the same height in the container to regulate the reservoir level. If the level of the nutrients in the reservoir experienced a rapid pH change this may have caused such a rapid decline in the plants health. Cannabis plants are also susceptible to viruses that may cause unexplained plant death.

OK thanks

:passitleft: High Broke Ass... Please go read the last few post on my Twilight journal and let me redeem myself in your eyes... I know I'm some what of a nut but I wasn't wrong about the light and I have now proven my statement to be true... a little harsh I will admit to but once you see why I was so frustrated I think you will understand... Love ya Mean it....:circle-of-love:

Welcome aboard CC. It's an honor to hear you've been following the New City Grower series so closely and it leaves me to wonder how many other great folks as yourself follow not only mines but other members journals without posting. It's a privilege to find we help readers that we didn't even know existed.

Judge John, the virus explanation seems to be a likely scenario. The reason I say this is because I find it hard to swallow that a plant can be drinking & still dying at the same time if it's not sick. Thanxx, I feel better now that there's a reason that makes sense to me.

On my way there now me dear...

Reg, a quality update. You spoil us. I agree with Indochronic - every time I read one of your updates I want to break out a couple 2 liters and plant something in them. :laughtwo::green_heart:

You know how it is around here GL, once we see something work a lot of us give it a try.

I like your mini scrog set up. It looks like coated hangers and twisty ties. It is so ghetto, but also so resourceful! One reason I have not done a scrog is because of weight, size and what I thought would make my plants immobile. I like to take my plants out when I water them.

Your set up looks perfect. Light weight and can sit right on the plant as to keep it mobile if needed.

:hmmmm: I have to make something like that :) :adore:

For another mini scrog idea, I use plastic garden fence for the screen and bamboo stakes for the vertical. Everything is wired or zip tied together. The plants will sometimes push the screen upwards, so I wire it down to the pot rim.

Hey BAR, those PJ soil plants look great, can't believe no nutes added, especially the last one. Enjoy!

Not so much following along as read from start to finish over the past few weeks. I currently have so many tabs open for future reading but I like to start from the beginning of people's first journals and read through. So when I am caught up I will probably pop up and say hi on a few more.

As to mini SCROG ideas I read one journal (can't remember who's and I have >100 tabs open) where they used an elasticated cargo net which I thought was a great idea.

Thanxx Sue.

Have and not need, need and not want. We just use what we have on hand when possible Scarfinger.

Good idea OG. I thought about doing something similar but duct taping the wire hangers to the outside of the pot assured that the plants wouldn't push the scrog upwards.

Not all strains go the complete journey without nutes in PJ's OSM, some start asking for this or that in mid to late bloom.

!00 tabs! That's dedication! :Namaste:
