Bugger, you know...I've copped that my whole life.

Damn, I always though it was fun...see how fast and how far...anywho, Ok, point taken....

I'd have thought I'd ve been showing off if I did the whole lot....guess you'd stop talking to me if I could :)

I'll stop now whilst the going's good. :)

stopping in to see how you're doing mate, hope the iron issues get straightened out, the azomite will keep everything else where it should be once it works its way into the root system (and you keep the ph proper!)

Re: New City Grower 3.0 - Sponsored by Twilight Group Co. - Featuring the Spider9 COB

When I first started growing plants in more recent years I started by learning the hard way what worked for me and what did not quickly. I began growing marigolds, moon flowers, morning glory's, zenias, violets, catnip and tomatoes attempting to germinate seeds in a variety of mediums and nutrient schedules before I began growing cannabis. When I began growing cannabis there was a a sharp learning curve of how intolerant to non pH adjusted water influenced cannabis plants growth when grown in most soils not specifically blended to supply cannabis plants with nutrients and maintain an optimal pH range by the addition on calcium and other minerals that buffer pH. I was not able to eliminate cannabis deficiency growing in soil without pH adjusting the nutrient mixture to an optimal pH range first. This is why I recommend this simple last step that people pH adjust their nutrient mixtures before watering almost always ensures nutrient viability to the cannabis plants unless there is a nutrient buildup or pH fluctuation in the medium. A nutrient buildup or pH fluctuation in the medium can be easily corrected by performing a flush. When I flush my plants I use a plastic milk crate in the bathtub to place the plant on to allow the medium to drain easily. You can perform a flush by using at least twice the volume of pH adjusted water as pot size and slowly watering allowing the water to remove nutrient buildup or correct pH.

You want pH 5.8 for hydroponic and soiless (peat moss and coco coir) and pH 6.5 for soil.

Here is a nutrient availability chart

Apologising for my language :)
If we had to use our imagination that means you kept it clean.

Nobody like a show off Tassie ;p :)
I do, especially when it's impressive!

Hello Jinn, glad to see you back online. I was by your thread and read your reply on Azomite. So 1/8 of a cup added to 1 gal of feed is sufficient to use with organic soil? I've used it as top dressing so far but only 1 teaspoon.

When I do PH adjust (which I've always done up until a week and a half ago) I did it after adding nutes and to 6.5 John. I learned that from you.

I just finished defoliating SPIDER GIRL I for light penetration. She sure is sticky!

yes 1/8th cup is perfect for organic soils, for lower quality soils I would add more and of course if you're using 20gal containers, you might want to use a bit more =p

Re: New City Grower 3.0 - Sponsored by Twilight Group Co. - Featuring the Spider9 COB

Ok, so my big problem with PH is the organic ph'ing I do...pick a lemon off the tree...

The acidic level in each drop is so damn variable...I go to great lengths to get 2 gallon buckets of water to 6.5...it's a guess the chart has blue on one side 6.6 yellowy on the other 6.4...but doesn't give a colour for 6.5...so I guess aqua marine in between~!

Yes, scientific and accurate I know!

Digital TDS & Ph meter...yes. ok. Now I see the point. :)

$24 worth of meters may have saved me 2 months in veg??????? Ouch.

Re: New City Grower 3.0 - Sponsored by Twilight Group Co. - Featuring the Spider9 COB

Thanxx Jinn.
Tassie, we use store bought lime juice. Always the same brand. It took me about a month to get it down pat but now unless I'm adding any other nutes than Cal/Mag I just use 2ml. It hasn't changed since we lowered the amount of Cal/Mag we use. I've checked. Just make sure you shake the bottle of juice vigorously right before using it.

Well excuse Fifi, I didn't take Chemistry until high school.

Re: New City Grower 3.0 - Sponsored by Twilight Group Co. - Featuring the Spider9 COB

Oh they might have taught it in High School too... IDK... I quit after the 9th grade... too many bongs behind the bleachers....:roorrip:.... then I went back and got my GED and my college degree when I was 30... Just a late bloomer.... I have a degree in nursing so they may have taught it there too :)....:circle-of-love:

Re: New City Grower 3.0 - Sponsored by Twilight Group Co. - Featuring the Spider9 COB

Dropping out wasn't an option. If you had known my Pop you'd understand.

Re: New City Grower 3.0 - Sponsored by Twilight Group Co. - Featuring the Spider9 COB

I could recite the first 20 before highschool....if you knew my old man you'd understand too :)

Re: New City Grower 3.0 - Sponsored by Twilight Group Co. - Featuring the Spider9 COB

Good for your Pops..:high-five: Mine didn't know... My Mum signed the paper and didn't tell him until it was to late... It wasn't pretty.... I don't advise any one take my educational path...:thedoubletake:.. However because I went to school later I remember things like the element table and it does help me to be able to comprehend what little of this stuff that I do ..:circle-of-love:

Re: New City Grower 3.0 - Sponsored by Twilight Group Co. - Featuring the Spider9 COB

I consider myself fortunate that I found super soil and have never had to bother PHing or feeding my ladies.

That's what I didn't like about hydro, so many things to stay on top of and do. Lots of money spent on fancy water too.

I'd rather do soil and grow too many strains :laughtwo: For now, at least.

Spider girl I is looking really awesome Reggie. Love your flowers :)

Re: New City Grower 3.0 - Sponsored by Twilight Group Co. - Featuring the Spider9 COB

I agree Sweet... I strayed a bit for a minute but I just like dirt.... When I can afford it I am going to get a good pH meter for obvious reasons but in soil it is something you can get away with not having but if your growing in anything else you will burn your babies up without one... I learned the hard way.....:circle-of-love:

Re: New City Grower 3.0 - Sponsored by Twilight Group Co. - Featuring the Spider9 COB

Hey BARman, your girls look awesome and I'm stoked to see such 2L success!

Any chance you can post a close-up of those white spots? From a distance they look a lot like leaf miner to me but I may be miles of the mark. If its a general nute def showing white spots I'd very much like to see what that looks like as well.

Thanks bro.

Re: New City Grower 3.0 - Sponsored by Twilight Group Co. - Featuring the Spider9 COB

It feels weird saying this to you Away as we always follow one another but welcome aboard.

Sorry Star, those few leafs were removed during the defol; they're already shriveling in the leaf bin.

Sorry Star, those few leafs were removed during the defol; they're already shriveling in the leaf bin.

I hope I'm wrong. I had one leaf getting munched so I did a decent top and bottom leaf spray with pyrethrum and I was shweet. I still have some strange white spots though which is why I was a curious to see yours..

Tomorrow I'm going to try and finish my hood but I have to decide if I'm going to do that or travel to the other side of my city to pick up a PAX a vape shop wants me to do a test and review on(I'll post it here as well if I do end out picking it up).

PC.
