Neikodog's High Brix Sativas

NL5 x haze is a classic. I've seen only one plant that it's owner claimed was such and it didn't resemble any I'd heard described. It was good...not great, but had that hardcore skunky funk with no other notes that stood out. The times I've actually consumed it, I remember it having that skunk smell, but softened with that complex floral spicy note of the haze.

I'd be down to try it in the kit...but I've got at least the rest of this year already mapped and planned.

Hey there just running in to see whats going on! congrats on your harvests... dibs on the Tangie x GTH... both classics. You like that mix?? That looks like some fire right there bud.

Wow 36 plants and hand watering?? Thats full time right there. Way beyond full time for me.

How do you like the Durban your running?? I run that quite a bit but its REAL racy for me. Took me some time to get used to it.. some folks don't like it for its intensity.

Your flowers are looking spectacular!

Good luck with your next harvest you have some nice genetics running! :passitleft:
Thanks bobbrown, I do like the tangie x ghost train. This is a new plant from seed so I haven't had this particular one yet. The others were very tangie dominate, just reeked of citrus. This one may lean a little more towards the ghost train haze. It smells nice but it's a little different. I'm eager to try it.

This is the 1st run of Durban for me. I've had it before and really liked it. Very little will be saved to dry and cure the normal way. This baby will get cobbed. That should take out the raciness some. The Malawi x Panama went into cobs yesterday. I did save a little to try though.

Thanks for stopping in.

Grats! :yahoo:

I've been smoking primarily Hazes lately and whew, boy, yeah, there's something different about 'em. Ima feel kinda thin in the head, y'know? I need a few days of some stonier stuff.

So, I'm recommending against the Neville's x Malawi. This GT x Oldtimers is kicking my ass. I feel like I could just ... disintegrate away. Your better half would NOT enjoy it. Heheh, actually, you can imagine what I'm like on a teeth-grinding buzzy, flit-eyed Haze. Right? :D

Got some DC auto coming up in a few weeks - and I'll need it. Meanwhile, I'm getting along with some 3 yr old White Panther, nice and decarbed, a little more CBN, etc. Feels like a fuzzy robe after the Oldtimers.

Just out of curiosity what are they looking for from the testers? What traits are they seeking
The only requirement they ask is that I document the grow over on ICmag in the ACE forums. I think they've already decided on not continuing with the Nevilles Haze x Malawi. They feel there are better sativas already in their line up. I may pop 1 just to say I did but the A5 is the real gem here.

Yeah Gray I hear ya. Ya know the wife doesn't care for the pure sativas much. Some of the Malawi phenos she actually does like and she did like the Panama haze. Devil's Carnival was a big no go with her but the regular carnival in cob form she loves. I'm mainly switching to pure sativas for the cobs. These cobs are game changers and are meant for pure sativas. We'll see, I still got Dugg's Apricot Jelly Regs I gotta pop too. That will be a nice offset to the sativas.

I sure hope they pop for the HB goods. Your grow is going to play large into what may go into my tent's down the road.

Let them know that Dog won't hunt if it is not cob material.... LOL

What is the A5?

Will do!

The A5 is an old school Haze that Neville selected 30 some years ago. It was one of the special strains. It was lost due to mis-labeling at the mid to late 90's. There was a grower who worked directly with Neville and had the cut for a couple decades and lost it. He's been searching for the real deal ever since then. Everything he came across after the mid to late 90's that was said to be the A5 was actually the mis-labeled C5 cut. Then Karma from Karma genetics posted at ICmag he was working with a cut of A5 he was gifted by a grower that had had it for 3 decades. After much debate and arguing amongst the Haze elite it was determined that Karma did indeed have the real deal. Karma gifted it to the original grower who had been searching for years for it and that is what was ultimately shared with ACE. They've done A5 grows and have determined it is worth working farther. So these testers I have are the result of a colab between ACE and the grower who rediscovered it. ACE is currently pollenating some of their other sativas with it now. The Malawi cross is their 1st run at it.

Neiko, was the DC a bit too racey for her...Man , there you go again...mentioning the Panama Haze...would love to do a grow
with four of those...Cheers bud...:passitleft:

Just a request.....let 'em know that you use my gear.

If i was the type....i could market your gear....can't figure out why it hasn';t gone to the moon yet...ffs.
Get ready Doc...like i keep sayin,...they're comin,..and they aint gonna stop. Your system/gear has so many attractive qualities that it would/should be easy to market. Every single chance i get i sing it's praises....your never ending help and guidance as well. Just a fantastic , all round' great experience. Cheers my friend....:passitleft:

What is the A5?
Yes,...what we should be pushing now with Doc's gear is it's abilty to be recycled. That quality goes above and beyond what other systems are all about. it's so important in today's world. Cannabis is/has taken off....growers will be looking for ways to stretch the package. I fully believe Doc's system is the easiest , most repeatable , successful method available. Not enough growers know about it .
A5...ah yes,...the Haze....:passitleft:
Enjoy the night JM.

Are you going to document the grow here as well? Really want to follow along.
