Neikodog's High Brix Sativas

I'd call this batch of Tikal a B+. It's a nice representative of Guatemalan herb I think, and it was fairly easy to grow, except for that tendency to keep blooming. If you could do a diminishing light schedule at the end it would help a lot, I think.

To me, it's a rather classic lowland Mexican high. It tends to fade to a lazy inactive mood, and if I hit it again it doesn't help much - just lazy and higher. There are similar strains that I prefer. Ace's Panama has that sensuality to it that makes it stand out and it's just as potent. White Panther has a similar high and it's easier and faster with denser buds. DrGrinspoon has the Thai to give it more lift ...

Crossing with Malawi might be interesting but you lose authenticity when you add African genetics. Dunno - wasn't a favorite in the end.

I'm in awe of your ability to describe the strains. Just had to step in and say that. :kisstwo:

I saw those too, they have a malawi x panama and a panama x malawi. Since I run a pure malawi I would probably opt for the panama x malawi 1st. Either one would be worth a run. Malawi is pretty intense and panama is a kinder buzz, more creative. I guess it's just a preference thing.....if you want power go with the malawi x panama, a more dreamy buzz go panama x malawi....just my guess though.

That's pretty much how they describe them. Also, the Malawi x Panama uses the old killer Malawi as the female as apposed to the Panama x Malawi which uses the new killer Malawi for the male. So the Malawi x Panama should be thinner leaved and a bit more wild sativa behaving. The old killer has been their main Malawi for years. I believe it's 4 or 5 generations back in their breeding, but it's still the most potent one they've found so it's still used in most everything they mix Malawi into.

On a side note, for you auto lovers out there, they are working on an auto Malawi.

Thank you for the additional insight Morglie. I could be tempted to try an auto Malawi. Wish they'd come out with the auto Carnival we all anticipated last year. I'd like to at least try one. Not sure I'd go auto with Carnival, since it's probably my favorite strain. I haven't found anything yet come close to it for all-round satisfaction.

I actually have some Dr. Grinspoon sitting in the seed stash. Long flower time has me unable to grow it until I can get some more space and stock up the pantry.

Well gang, I got the 2 Clementines harvested and washed. I get a proper update on the rest after clean up and flipping of a couple to take their place.

I'm pretty happy with this run. I think it was the best I've done with it so far. This was the 4th time running it.

OK I got the room cleaned up and rootballs recycled. I still need to Flip a critical mass and amnesia, that will get done this weekend. This weekend will be harvest time for some non journaled plants.....Kali China and Amherst sour diesel. Tikal is slowing now and will probably go to week 17 then that's it, she is coming down whether she starts blooming again or not. On to the Pics.

Thank you Canna! I'm getting excited to have it back in stock. This may be a sativa you would like. It doesn't cause anxiety, music never sounded so good and it brings out my creative side. It makes my body feel weightless after about an hour if I'm not up and moving. It may be just one of those strains that agrees with me.

That sounds like it's worth giving it a try, and it looks like I should definitely give it a try. Lol! Also, we tried the Kratom. I absolutely love it! I take it every day for focus and energy and I have no issue with anxiety. The red we use occasionally when we want a lazy night. That was a great suggestion for us to try. Thanks again Neiko!

Man I forgot all about that. That's great news. Another plant the pharma companies don't want you to use.

After 15+ weeks of spraying that happens to me. I probably pushed her a little too hard at times. Shes held up pretty good for almost 16 weeks. I have plans for the next run that should help.

I was super happy with my last batch of HSO Sour D. I shall have a sample with in the future yo.

Last time I was at a dispensary I decided to get a few grams just to compare. I bought purple kush and afghan gold. Now, I'm not all pro, but those strains were gross. The strains themselves weren't gross, I'm sure, but the medium just sucks. I assume most of the jazz in our disp shops is hydro. All super small dense nugs. None of it looked even remotely like what the kit brings out. Low and slow definitely produces more of what I want compared to the fast and large. When I do the smell tests all I get is what I call "chemically".
