Neikodog's High Brix Sativas

Nice,...love the look of the 'Tikal'...she looks to easily wanna go another ten , or so. She looks like she's not done throwin those "tails" out like that,...cool.:) Anyhow , looks great here Neiko. Just groovin along , makin some of the finest produce , worldwide...:surf:..grow after grow...:slide:
Have a great night bud!:high-five:

Thanks Duggs, yeah the tikal, I think I could let that go a month or more, it just keeps on blooming, that's what she does. I usually just take it at 16 weeks. I may let her go longer it just depends on harvest timing. I will take everything else first and then when I have to put one into flower I will take her. I know at 16 weeks she's a 21%er. I tried a sample at 14 weeks and it's great....but the high didn't last long and it wasn't as full as it normally is so I will show patience with her.

Looking good as always Neiko.

Question: So you foliar and drench on the same day? I heard we are supposed to wait 48 hours after watering to spray foliars but I always wondered about spraying foliars, waiting an hour or so and then feeding.

You are correct Newb. All my other plants got fed on Sunday and brix on Tuesday. The Clementine is coming down and I like to take them within 3-4 days of growth and brix. Since this is the last push I did them both together......kinda like a big kick in the ass.

Don't be afraid to Cat Drench those thin-leaved lovlies more than twice. It helps keep them from growing 14 feet tall. When I grow stuff that looks like that, it never stops growing!

I hear that! The Congo, Panama Haze and Malawi will get CAT next. The recharge will go in this week with EWC, CAT next feeding. Congo is behaving but Malawi and PH could be a problem. I already broke a top off PH trying to super crop her. Those 2 will get another dose of recharge at week 10 and with more CATs to follow. My last Malawi didn't stretch and had much fatter leaves. This is the polar opposite, this is what I think of when I think of sativas, real skinny leaves and a good stretch.

I know Graytail and I would both like to see how long she can go. :laughtwo:

Awesome, that's the one thing I can spot. I'm still learning since I have only seedlings at the moment

Unbelievable journal and gorgeous plants. I haven't experienced this much high quality strain and terp talk as I've seen here. Finally caught up and loving the dedication to the long flowering sativas. Might have to take a look at docs hi brix kit. It seems to grow the best plants I've seen. Subbed!!

:welcome: Jgrowlove and thank you! The high brix "kit" is the way to go for sure! I love love love the sativas and I only really realized that when I started growing high brix. The special highs I have experienced have all come from the long flowering sativas. There are dispensaries everywhere where I live and I can honestly say nothing compares to high brix weed. Try finding a 16 week strain in a dispensary.......good luck. The terpene production from high brix is undeniable and it is also the least expensive way to grow. Thanks for stopping by.

That's an intense amount of time. Gotta have the environment really dialed in to do that around here, temps fluctuate too much. I can get away with an 11-12 week flowering strain, that's about it :p maybe one day!

:) At first glance I was thinking WHY is he messing with the PH, :) Had to re-read before it sunk in :)

Anyway this brings up a question I have been wondering about, Has anyone ever checked the PH
at run-off while using The High Brix Kit ? I know we don't need to check this while using the Kit but
just curious what the numbers might be ?

I have no idea what it might be....but the soil is locked at 6.4. Testing runoff is cannabis folklore. Building a proper soil is cannabis science. Sometimes, folklore and science are complimentary...sometimes they are not. This is one of those cases where they are not.

The thing to keep in mind is that a living soil adjusts pH via microbial action and root exudates all the time. But there is enough buffering minerals in our soil to withstand a whole bottle of pH down before the pH will change. Ditto pH up...which will really Eff things up.

Medical folklore masquerading as science once taught that rats spontaneously sprang forth from dirty rags. Leave out a bunch of filthy rags and in a few days, rats would appear! Same type of thinking when it comes to testing runoff.

Question for those steeped in folklore and mythology: How does one test runoff on crops that are planted in the ground?

It's easy to test the pH of soil. We can get very consistent measurements. Runoff? All depends on what's being put in to drip out the bottom, what stage of growth the plant is in, how much liquid is poured in, etc. It's nearly 100% useless as a measurement!

Our soil is 6.4. Period. Nothing short of a jug of pool acid or a bottle of bleach is going to change that.

My kit grows the best plants I've seen......and believe me, as soon as I see better I'm all ears in order to improve!

High Brix=Natural farming. This is how plants were created to grow....we're merely optimizing the process by finely tuning the soil for maximum microbial action.

wispy buds, thin leaves, tiny trichomes....otherwordly smells and a high that is truly high.....that's cannabis goodness in its rarest and best form!

Nothing makes me so happy as smoking those awesome sativas!

Thanks Doc I was just curious what numbers were to see if it was in the same range that most soil-less growers strive for ?
Self adjusting PH is a great thing.

At the very least, Value wise, it confirms that the numbers used in the Folklure PH numbers to adjust to are basically correct :)
