some beautiful ladies up in here mate.
New guy here tuning in to learn. Beautiful looking ladies so far! I'm still finalizing my grow closet choices for lights and medium/nutes. So I look forward to learning from your grow and seeing you have an amazing harvest!
Some great examples in N420's garden. going to be a nice harvest

Get well soon mate. hate colds , they kill the taste of weed. Hope it isnt the dreaded "Manflu" strain that hits us worse than women !. Wrap up warm then "wrap up" papers , great excuse to do nothing and enjoy the rest N. peace and blessings mate.
There is nothing Mrs. N hates more then the dreaded man cold lol

No problem, I must have missed the part about wanting the Barney's seeds. Dr Seeds is a breeder and carry only their own stuff. I'm working on my attention to detail trait so bear with me.
ya I left that part out want to try a bunch of different Barney's strains been so happy with the Os and seeing prof's Barney's plants makes me want to run them even
Hey N! Get some rest buddy. Seems to be a lot of summer bugs going around this year. The OS's look fantastic! Looks like you have some nice colour and frost on some chunky looking colas :thumb:
:passitleft:
Thanks prof! The summer cold has been brutal this year ran through the whole family. We are on the mend should be better soon. The Os is on the bud swell now and the colors are really starting to come out can't wait to get my first sample.

Welcome Nkwow glad you are here. Feel free to ask any questions or post any pictures and I will do my best to answer them and if I can't one of the other members here would be happy to help.

Nothin says manly man more then crying out for mommy when your sick lol
Or as you run off from a sticky "big boys are chasing me" situation !!! Ironically mothers can hear that shit from anywhere and can appear like Genies. Still not as bad as the Kid that acts tough on his garden but his mom wont let him out the gate to prove it to you !!. lol

Os clones

Thought I would put up a quick update on the Os clones have not shown them in awhile. Ever since the thrips showed up on these I kept them outside to keep the bugs out of the indoor garden ( that turned out well lol ).
They have grown quite well outside and it seems the thrips are gone off them I sprayed them a couple of times but I think the reason they are gone are the other beneficial bugs outside as well as it is quite windy here fairly regularly which I think knocked them back as well.
I have given them mostly plain water with a feed here and there and it has worked out quite well me ignoring them for the most part.
They are currently in 1 gallon plastic pots I will be transplanting them soon as the outdoor plants I grew last year started to flower around the middle of August these have not shown any signs of going into flower but I want to transplant them into bigger pots before they do.

Looking good N! I'm seeing signs of thrips on my plants too. It's those damn brits I tell you. They had a tent full a while ago and I'm sure they came this way.
Anyhow, I only see the odd one because of the wind, but I know there's more. I shake the plant and nothing, but some leaves look like they had a field day.
I'm hitting them with Bug B Gone for now since it's what I have, but for a couple of quid more I may get some castille soap.

Thanks Mr.S! I think It might be some crazy brit voodoo I saw them in prof's tent and now they are here lol.
Shed recommend Castile soap and I have been treating my Gz with it and has worked very well as long as you are spraying them every other day. I did have some prythium spray from the grow store that shed recommend not using because it has been banned in some legal states.

VG posted a good recipe for me on my journal. It has the soap in it plus garlic and/or hot peppers

Thanks N!
Thanks for the link Mr S!
I asked shed about using diatomaceous earth because the thrips lay their eggs in the soil and the larvae come out of the soil to get on the leaves. The diatomaceous earth kills them when they touch it on the way out of the soil but it is only effective when it's dry so you have to reapply after every watering

Absolutely... only if I see the heavy signs though. Typically when you water, if your soil is contaminated with prepupal or pupal stage thrips, you'll notice when you add water to the top of the soil. The water starts to dance so to speak, Adults lay their eggs directly into plant tissue giving them a hatching location surrounded by food sources for the larvae and a place to overwinter come fall. Thrips larvae feed on new growth as they prepare to drop to the soil and pupate. After feeding as larvae, thrips develop into their prepupal and pupal stages from which they hatch into wingless nymphs.

Thanks Sauga! Great description of the life cycle of thrips. I will definitely be paying closer attention to my soil when I water. I don't want a thrip dance party lol

Gz Update

Hey Everyone it's Transplant Day!!
After keeping an eye on the girls for the last few days we have had a 48 hrs wet dry cycle so it's time for these girls to get a new home so they can stretch their legs a little.
I started by filling my 1 gallon fabric pots with pro mix and used an empty pot to make a nice well for the root ball to fit into
20190810_180524.jpg

Then watered the pot a little to get the soil a little wet so it would hold it's shape after I removed the pot.

I added some Pirana a liquid beneficial fungi nutrient to the bottom of the root hole in the pot. I normally add pirana to my feed in the first 2 weeks of veg and the first 2 weeks of flower but read you could use it with transplanting by putting some on the soil and putting the root ball directly on it. It's the first time I have used it this way so I'm curious to see if it makes a difference.
