My new grow space

Cold floor myself in the basement. I didn't realize how cold it was until I noticed how much smaller my 2 snow white plants were than my white widow and early girl. They are all the same age, but they are on a raised shelf in the grow room. I thought that with a thick carpeted floor and the underlay, along with the tent and the floor liner that it wouldn't be an issue. I have them raised now - we'll see what happens. Starting to think that my new, upcoming grow room should not be in the basement. Maybe I should move it back upstairs to the spare bedroom. It was minus 37C with the wind chill here this a.m. I keep the basement grow room at 28C when the lights are and 22C when lights are out with the help of a space heater. Brutal cold snap here in northern ontario.

I just crossed Devils Tit with Purple Monkey Balls (male)... seeds are in the oven.... should call it Purple Tits.. that's kinda sexy.

Hedz I think we all struggle a bit with the cold concrete floors, especially this year.....Wow! I just did a snow white auto...loving the smoke! Flytier did a smoke report on it based in his Christmas present lol.

My flowering plants are on concrete floors as well. I am going to remedy that tonight when lights come on. Not sure how much that will help me but everything helps.

I am using the wifes humidity dome in the veg tent and its kicking ass. Temps are up, humidity is good, and the seedlings are taking off. I should have done that the first time. I have the veg tent off the floor.

The temperature on my heater says it's stable at 74°F. I've turned the fan that exhausts heat from my 400W HID up, it exhausts into my room. I was going to introduce my DWC bucket to the tent today....... turning up the fan, this should boost temps a bit. My humidity is low at 25%, but it was also like that in the house. My Alphar dawg, has almost no new growth at all....... I think it's me.

Two days ago, I ordered some digital thermometers, they should be here within the next two days or so. I'm going to ride it out until then and let my soil dry up as well.

If you are overly concerned with your humidity Guy, get a couple bowls of water and set them by your fans. You can also hang some wet towels in your area as well. Those are options if you don't want to spring for a good humidifier.

Great to hear UA, thats encouraging for sure. Other than your location, our setups sound similar. I have to get the domes in place.

Hi Guy - my wife really likes the Snow White effect. Helps with the pain, depression and insomnia. We do coconut oil with honey for edibles and vape it too. By the way, where did you buy your Mylar panels? I can only find it by the roll at Amazon. Yours looks pretty substantial. The amazon rolls look kinda flimsy. If you can point me in the right direction... much appreciated. Stay woke - namaste.
P.S. One other thing - is it Guy(French) or Guy (English). Being from a very bilingual town, I had to ask. Cheers.

I'm loving the Snow White too......totally helps with my girls insomnia.

My Mylar panels are actually Roxul insulation with a reflective side. It doubles as R8 rigid insulation, then is backed by R12 pink insulation. I silver taped over all of the studs and around all outlets to prevent air leaks . Send to be holding its own in these frigid temperatures were having.

Newspaper in Trays works or putting humidifier in tent ?

Spraying with some water in spray bottle sleuth few drops of cal mag in it .

I give a most on plants it helps boost it up .

Nah I used some 2x4s to get it off the concrete. I also put a thermarest insulated camping bedroll on the tent floor. With a piece of thin plywood over top to act as a table.
