My new grow space

Yeah that lighting is off the chain!!! Thanks a tonne for hanging around Rider, this info is invaluable to me. Pity you're not closer, I could help you test lights lmao.
That'd be a blast. The only grower I know that's close to me bleeds HID if you cut him. No interest at all in LED technology.

"Two F564B 22" strips equal one FB24B" .

Does that mean that I'll be able to hook a F564B in series with the FB24B to get a coverage of 66" in length? To have that sort of coverage would be incredible!
You'd want to hook them up in parallel. Pos to pos and neg to neg, to maintain 46V.

So from your picture, I don't see the drivers but it's not what I expected. It's very clean up top, no wires everywhere.
This is where the mess is. I don't want to button everything up until I decide for sure what the final lighting layout will be.

I have 80' of 1.5"x1.5" aluminum angle outside that I can bolt together for my frame. How do your strips attach to each of the pcs of aluminum channel (I assume they're aluminum)? The channel stays cool with air circulation? How many drivers are you using to drive one of your arrays consisting of the double rows of FB24B's? So 8 rows requires what size driver? Would it still be able to handle an additional 8 rows of the 564Bs if I hooked them in series ( if it's even possible)? Sorry, just woke up dreaming of my new light. My wife's still snoring away in the background lol.
I used 1.5x1x0.125 aluminum channel. The strips are attached with thermally conductive tape. Since I'm driving the strips gently heat isn't an issue. Choice of drivers in a parallel system is determined by how hard you want to drive them and how much headroom you want. I've got each group of four driven by an HLG-600H-48A. You could run six FB24Bs gently with that driver, or four FB24Bs and four F564Bs. During initial testing I hammered a group of four up to 660W with that driver. It's unfortunate that your idea didn't come up earlier as I could have run four 66" strips in testing for PPFD numbers. I'd have to rewire things to test it now and I'm too exhausted to even consider it. I have another tent and RDWC I have to get dialed in and I don't wanna do that either!

It's all good Rider, you've been a huge help already. Definitely going to put all my thoughts and yours together on paper and see what I can come up with.

For now, 2 layers of R8 later, all of my 12/2 & 10/2 wiring is pretty much covered up.

My flower room is getting this as well giving all the walls a minimum of R20 with the added benefit of the excellent sound attenuation of the Roxul.

Christ, your shed is done up better than our house!

This is Some awesome pro stuff! Well Done .

Thanks lol....My biggest fear is the cold. Gonna have to do some trials out there first to check out the temp fluctuations. Also best configuration for exhaust and intake. I'm thinking both should start/eliminate into my shop. That way the icicles won't form outside and the air will be somewhat heated as it's drawn in from outside if needed.

I've got a friend bringing over the remainder of the insulation tomorrow as well as the lighting that he's promised me....for the shop. I'll be installing the subpsnel tomorrow.

I'm definitely looking forward to seeing the finished product. How much longer do you think you have with it?

If you build a good RDWC system you'll never look back. Get a GrowBoss or Blue Labs digital PH/PPM/Temp monitor and you can tell at a glance how your plants are doing always.
Whats the difference between RDWC and DWC?

I'm thinking by the New Year all should be good to go. That'll give my present girls enough time to finish up and Christmas and New Year's off worry free. Although I don't know who I'm fooling, I'm already itching to start a new set of seeds lol.

Hey Guy! Make sure to take care to properly ground all your electrical wiring. I'm a low volt (not 120v) electrician, and don't have a ton experience with line voltage, but I do know that proper grounds are lifesavers! Hope you are well, your space is looking great!!

Cheers!

DAY 37

Okay so i did some bending and I did a pretty major defoliation on the girls yesterday, I didn't get a chance to look at them this morning before I left for work but they really needed it as a lot of the lower Bud sites were not getting the penetration.

I can't wait to get into my new space so that I can throw these two gallon pots in the garbage LOL....... All the time that we put into these girls and I'm limited to my pot sizes.....sheeesh!
