My new grow space

Damn Peece....sorry to hear you won't be going. Wish I coulda joined ya guys! Maybe next year or a different trip!

Thanks Stank. Some unexpected work shit... Earliest I could get out now would be Friday night, right when Mother Nature will be having her way with us... Pretty shitty... But there will be another road trip and other good times...

Once our passion goes legal for everyone up here in Canuckville....
We are gonna have to have a 420 meetup... Do it right...
Camp for a long weekend, pig roast, bonfires, Good times...
Have a full on nug and plant of the month contest! with taste and smoke included in the judging! lol..

Can you tell that I'm ready for some nice weather and to unwind a bit?

Hey that sounds like a great idea. I've got a buddy with a farm where we could really let loose.....done!

I pm'd yah, but that hydro shop I was in the other day, sells lady bugs... might be a good and final pma... 1000 for 20 bucks! let a few hundred go at a week might eliminate any further outbreak...

@Scrogdawg too funny.....thought I posted one in my update last night. My girl is now on day 3 of flush, as my trichomes have definitely started changing. I don't want to miss my window. Here's my DWC White Cookies.....day 55 of flower. Twice the bulk of my soil girls, but I'm still dialling my soil in...
looking great guy!

Long time no type, Just got back in Canada Hows everything going?

So took down 3 of my girls yesterday. I took down my two White cookies and my Alpha Dog. Here are some of the results. The numbers from the dwc are almost comical. Please also.....my first harvest from the space......im working on volume next, the quality is certainly there.
Alpha dawg
Not a big haul, but typically a small plant for me. My girlfriend loves this smoke. She's on the right......at 114 grams.
Next was my white cookies in the soil. Again, I have not grown this one before so I'm not sure if it's typical size but when you compare it to her hydro sister..... the potential is certainly there. Obviously she is on the left, her total was 149 grams.
Followed by my DWC white cookies which came in at a whopping 387 grams, I say whopping because that is by far and away the heaviest plant I've ever grown.
My buddy KCCO77 says, "that rootball, aint no joke", lol. I have to agree, and also I think it's not a bad inaugural "dip of the toes" into dwc for me. Definitely a sign of things to come. One thing I've definitely noticed about the buckets, is that I can correct a problem that I noticed within a day. Unlike my soil, where you have to wait for results. @Scrogdawg , what usually happens to the used net pot now, toss it or cut the plant out of it and reuse it? Reuse would be nice, means I can put an ATF in hydro as of today.....also, why do you think that my system with the pump works so well, do you think there is any advantage to the top feed system? My buddy KCCO77 was wondering how my plants even survived LOL? I had no idea that his system is a little bit different than mine, the one that he had started using before he started to create his own Central res system.
Chopping my 2 crown Royales today. Got a busy day ahead of me. Dog walks first, then into the grow room for some R n R, lmao.....

@Van Stank, 6 of my ATF clones are going into veg today if all goes well. Should I be worried about the mixing of my already Salt rich clone solo cups, with the Stank soil? I didn't want to plant my clones directly into Stank soil because I figured it might be too hot for their young roots. Not to mention that my soil had not cooked for long enough.

Think that's it for now my friends.......
All of our Easter festivities were yesterday so that frees up today quite a bit.

Happy Easter 420!
that is just amazing! I`m realy happy to see how everything is working out! you deserve it man

Hey guys, sorry about the lack of messages. Just got back into the grow room last night after our whirlwind trip to the east coast. Wow, what a trip that was....... Now I need to fill my jars up again LOL.
That being said, let's get right down to business....... I took down three of my kushie Kush last night..... Have to say, pretty impressed with the haul off those girls. 340 grams off 3 x 6 week flowerers ( I doubt that's a word, but you get the idea LOL).... Colas not too bad either.....very consistent, virtually zero popcorn nugs.

I did lose 2 of my 5 remaining clones in my cloning tent....this was due to dryness. While I was in there, tending to my 3 remaining plants, I noticed a pool of water that has collected in the back corner of my tent. Not to say that anything like that is where it started but I quickly mopped that I don't want any issues with remaining standing water in there when it comes to Insects. I have battled my mites, I will continue to battle them for the next few weeks I'm sure. I don't want any hiding places or anything where any new problems can start. Any excess standing moisture is a recipe for disaster in my books.

I'll post more pictures tonight of progress throughout the three times, I was just really happy to get home and see that I had not lost everything to bugs. In fact, I don't see any signs of insects at all in there now. That being said, I still plan on hitting these plants for at least the next 10 days with preventative and the natural insecticides that I've been using.

It's been Safer soap first, followed 3 days later with Bug B Gon (both pyrethrin based), then Smite 3 (w/ canola oil and rosemary extracts) 3 days after that. All the time on the in-between days I have been blasting them with high pressure and 9:1 (water : alcohol.) Fingers crossed, things are looking good. @Peeece, my brother...... I know we didn't get much of an opportunity to get together on the seafood Etc, but I would love to get some more information off you with regards to those ladybugs.....which store is it? Anybody have any idea about the residual effects of the pesticide that are on my plants if I go to introduce ladybugs in there to help control any of the final stages of mites?

I think that's it for now, I will definitely upload some more up-to-date pictures later this evening.......

I can check their times, and drop you off 1000 on Friday if you want to try them... I know we talked about it but just let me know. They may not react well to your treatment thus far but you could start releasing 100 soldiers at a time and give them their marching orders... go forage and eat, get drunk off the alcohol spray and do your shit! lol! You could stop any further treatments... your call, let me know!

Hmmm....would be good to know. I'm a good portion into my treatment too. Let's ask the masses. @Jackalope, @Van Stank,@GodOfPot ,@bobrown14.....what do you guys think about the lady bugs to do a round with the mites or to finish them off? @Peeece has offered to drop a 1000 off on his way by my place on Friday.....i have NO visible mite activity anymore. I have seen the occasional egg, and have been blasting with Alcohol and water on my non spray days. I've tried 3 seperate product treatments 2 times each now. I do have some curling/very unhappy leaves, but considering the alternative, no big deal. My plan was to continue my pesticide treatment for at least another week, at which point I'm wondering if releasing some ladybugs in there to remove any doubt would be a good call? Would they even be able to survive on plant leaves which have such a high concentration of insecticidal soaps Etc.......

I can’t see myself how releasing would be an issue I look at real life bugs land all the time I heard the other day that you can use neem oil right up to harvest on buds as long as you wash your fruits . It will clean oils off just try to avoid buds I would says if that isn’t liked lady bugs shouldn’t be an issue as long as you clean wash your buds . Again just how I see it

Sorry buddy, I wasn't sure that you were online buddy now that you harvested Larry and the girls......
Yeah I was kinda thinking the same.....just another failsafe. So what do you think about residual "pesticides/soaps" on my girls, do you think they would affect the ladybugs?

See if this works

Myth: Pesticides Only Kill Bad Bugs

Yeah @Guy Cavallero

Looks like it isn’t a good idea read first paragraph ?

Whether you’re wrangling with Japanese beetles munching on your flowers, slugs eating holes in your vegetables, or caterpillars feasting on your trees, it’s tempting to use pesticides to solve the problem. And it’s easy to forget that there’s more going on in your backyard ecosystem than meets the eye.

We often resort to pesticides to deal with garden pests. But pesticides don’t just control unwanted beetles and slugs. They often kill more than just the target nuisance, including beneficial natural predators like lady bugs. If a pesticide gets into your soil, it may also harm soil organisms that help to keep your plants healthy. There are many ways to control pests before resorting to pesticide

So the girls
......so far everything is looking good in the tent as far as pests are concerned. I won't focus on them so much, I'll focus on my girls.
Clones, weellllll.....not too many left.
I brought in my humidity domes and small pots for a wash under bleach and water last night. I am going to take this opportunity along with the advice of my friend @Jackalope and start something new. By the time my new girls are ready to be transplanted or are mature enough to worry about..... these mites will be a thing of the past. Jackalope has been amazing enough to send me a few seeds on a lopsided trade, so im gonna grow a few of these out. 3 strains....Blue dream, Critical mass and Trailer park Betty (his own invention) are going in to the tent today. Likely 4 of each. The TPB is to determine sex, the others are feminized. The blue dream and critical mass are for indoors and the TPB are for outside.....so far that's the plan anyway.
Here's my cloning area presently......look how lonely they look lol. Presently a couple of leaf tip burns on my ATF x 2 and my single blueberry that are left.
Veg is looking up. Every time I go in there and blast all of my girls with alcohol and water or a soap for that matter..... Everybody looks so sad. This tent has been completely cleaned out and bleached on three separate occasions now over the past 10 days. My hydro girl is a crown royal (front right), all the rest are ATF.

Flower has been affected much less severely. I never actually saw a live insect in here but I have been spraying them just as readily as my other girls. Especially the ones that were introduced 3 weeks ago. These 6 are 3 x white Rhino in the back and 3 x Peyote cookies up front. These peyote cookies have gone insane, not sure if that's the Peyote purple or cookies kush coming out in them, but theyre looking to be a set of beasts.
My girls flowering......
Front and center, my ATF, she's kinda hard to make out lol.
Her buds at 45 of 70 days.
Back left CBDurban......cant wait to try an 8:8 balanced strain in capsule form. Her colours are starting to change also.....very nice!
Next is my blueberry. I'm super glad that I was able to keep and keep alive the clone from this girl. By Far and Away she is the largest, tallest plant that I've grown so far. Yes I realize that have to do with training techniques. She smells incredible.First plant I've ever had where the colas swayed back and forth as I touch them LOL.
Finally my 2nd CBDurban......totoally different pheno. Not as tall, different bud structure and no colour change. Pretty cool to see the two different phenotypes come from the same package of seeds.

Think that's it for now.

I'll set a link up for the thread that Fly created for our trip out east. We had a great time, the driving ( even though I was the passenger), damn near annihilated my back though. Or maybe it was the 3" of frozen ice I had to chip off the cars and driveway that did me in lol.

Yeah @Guy Cavallero

Luckily I'm not using anything that has a PCP number on it......meaning it's organic in its nature. I'm not using any pesticides, just soaps and extracts. That being said, will they harm the ladybugs......hmmm!?

Our link to out east. Sadly, we caught no fish. We did however get a chance to meet Fly and chill fir a couple of days. Next time, stay a bit longer and get our dates right lol. At least time our trip with the salmon run. https://www.420magazine.com/community/posts/3964188/
