My new grow space

Damn that sucks. Sounds like you did the right think. Totally clean is one main thing I learned with the PM issues I am having. At least you had the ability to pull everything out so you can re-due the grow room. Pretty sure the neighbor's would be shocked if I did that LOL. Going to be able to eat of room after I am finished with it this summer. People say I have no empathy. They will never understand how bad I feel looking at plants that are not healthy and happy.

Damn it man.....at least you caught it early!

First off, don't go into any of your other plant areas after dealing with the infected one. Once you are done with the infected one, go inside, strip down, wash your clothes and take a shower. Every time you go into the grow area....you need to do that. You don't want it to spread!

Now, my first question is what is the plant and will the world end if you cut it down? I am going to warn you that its going to be difficult to keep it from spreading to other plants. So if its a strain that you have multiples of, I would strongly consider it. As someone who battled them for months, if I could have potentially eliminated the issue by cutting down one plant, I would do it in a heart beat. I wouldn't even fight em if I didn't have to.

Spark up the fans and turn them on high. More wind....harder for them to exist. Spray often with water, higher pressure the better. Don't over do it with the insecticides. Use them in 5 day intervals or as the directions state. Spray with water or water and alcohol at a 9:1 ratio on days you don't spray with one of you more potent things (Neem, SM-90, SNS-217).

You are getting ready to go on your trip. I strongly urge you to consider just chopping it down if it doesn't look like you can get a handle on them before you leave. You need to nip this in the bud before they spread to all your girls brother.

I suppose you could try taking a clone off the infested one.....if you put it in a dome by itself with real high humidity levels, the mites won't last. Just clean the underside of the leaves really well to be sure!
I'm all over them, although I have to admit I'm finding it pretty difficult to not go out there and treat them two or three times a day. I know that'll just make things worse.....immunity and all. I've got 3 different forms of agent to combat these pricks. I had a really hard time with this little nugget; my ATF that was unsexed, she sat in the corner of veg. I knew, if i were a mite, id hide in the middle of that.....all day long. Male or not, it got chopped. It took a load off my mind. I had a soft spot for "it", but for the better of the actual girls.....bye bye! Theirs minimal leaves in veg. Only 1 of my girls has any signs. I checked her today and all infected leaves show signs of death! I do however see an intricate level of webbing, with an occasional, pale yellow sphere. I can only assume that those are the eggs that my "Smite" product, intends to smother.

I learned it in my 1st week here, funny how "patience" plays a role in our every day. I've also carefully sprayed my flower area, just in case.

I was looking through your journal and realized that you just harvested some Crown Royale from Cropking, it looks awesome by the way. I have a few of their strains going right now also and Crown Royale is one of them. I was wondering how you like the strain and what kind of high does it have? I will be flipping to flower next weekend and I hope mine turns out as good as yours did. Thanks in advance for any info.✌️

Seems no longer available to us here in Canada because it is considered carcinogenic. At least that's what I was told at the hydro store. I did however just recently find it at a local discount clothing store in their Overstock area. As funny as that sounds....... Sometimes they have good deals on culinary stuff, that's why I end up there while my girlfriend shops for clothing LOL.

Thanks ECG!

I haven't smoked any of her yet, still in cure, but her profile is starting to come out in the jar. Youre in for a treat... super easy to grow and Lovely smell of pineapple from my girls as they matured in flower.

They kind of took a backseat as I concentrated a lot of my time and journaling on how well the white cookies was doing in Hydro, but these two are no joke. They turned out really well and the 90% of the buds in the jar are all 2-3" long.

So I won't waste a pile of time on the mites today other than to show you the lineup of what I plan on using. As I just said in my previous post, we are not able to get our hands on neem here in Canada.

The last one is a product called Smite and it is primarily extracts from chrysanthemum, Rosemary Etc. I didn't expect $120 / bottle at my local hydro store, so he gave me 20 mls on the house because I'm loyal customer ;). Actually he just wrote the bottle off and is going to use it himself.

Here's a quick overview. I went through all of my Tents today and throughout any plants that were not necessary......this is devastating and very upsetting to me, but also made me cull some girls. I kept four ATF clones and one blueberry. I wanted to eliminate as many possibilities for places to hide as I could. I also completely bleached all of my tents.
Here's my clones....
Here's veg.......
Here's flower, sorry about the blurple......i did spray in here, but very sparingly. Mostly on the girls that were just introduced. I've also lowered daytime temperatures in flower to 70-72°f, as I heard that mites hate the cold.

Which brings leaving Phase 2 of what I did today. I actually decided I was going to make some hash out of kief close to one pound of trimmings that I had in my freezer. I had some 70 and 220 micron bags that I bought a while ago, I found a guy locally that sells dry ice so I decided to give it a shot. First is the bag on the scale, are they said close to one pound of trimmings.
Next, 2 lb of dry ice.
Combined trimmings and ice in a pale, preferably 5 gallon as that's what size my hashtags were intended for. Pull the snug fitting bag over top of your pale.
Pretty simply, make sure you hold on to your bag if it doesn't fit tight, then invert your tail upside down and start shaking. I shook mine for one minute with my 220 micron filter and one minute with my 70 micron filter to give myself two grades of Keith on a rather large picture frame.
I then scraped it up to using my debit card and ended up with these two piles.

After squeezing them for some time with my fingers, I ended up with these little blocks. Notice the difference in color.

Pretty be with the results for my first time..... Now to let them cure in a jar with my boveda pac, just like my meds.

Nice job on the hash tutorial. And a nice haul from just trim.

Nice grammar dude......Wow!

So @Van Stank, what type of alcohol did you use in your non pesticide days? I haven't seen a live mite since I've started my regiment. I'll keep on them.......

So am I ultimately just trying to knock them off with that method, or does the alcohol actually kill them?

I'll get one on the way home.....and some Rubbing alcohol

I gotta say that upon closer inspection, I appear to have caught this just in time. I'm not taking anything for granted, but no signs again today. That's scary shit!
Wish I could have taken pics of them, but bugs don't deserve the spotlight.....my girls do.
Looking pretty good. I figure my cloning space is where they started, just based on concentration of teeny tiny webs. Not too many girls left.

Froze my clones as they left with the leftover dry ice from making hash. Just to ensure maximum death count lol.
Here's veg.....looking pretty good for day 9. Despite mites crashing the party....nick of time comes to mind!
And here's one of my Peyote cookies in flower. Quickly becoming a beast for day 9.

Another long night in the grow room again. Here I was....trying to lessen my time in there lol.
