My Grow

Up next is the "WHITE WIDOW"
Debating on using her for 2 clones to see the growth difference in different pot types (Taller & Narrower vs. Shorter & Wider). Both would start in Solo Cups. Then one into a reg. 2 gal. pot & 1 in the shorter, wider & rounded bottom pot.
The shorter, wider pots are what I used in my best grow so I'm curious about pot sizes having any relevance.

And here we have the "OG KUSH"
I'm going to clone her Top. But, I'm giving this clone to a friend as I wont have room for it since I'll have 6 clones going for myself. He's going to clone it before flowering to give me a clone back. I only have 1 OG Kush Seed left so I'd rather clone & save it for later.

A lot of changes going on throughout the day. TSL2000 is coming down & the Viparspectra VA 1000 Blurple with Veg & Bloom Dimmers goes up in the center. Actual true watts are 230. Each plant will be going under it's own Viparspectra PAR 1500 (155 Watts each). Putting the Bubble Cloner together so I can Top the "POP TARTS" & clone her. She's almost 15" tall now & has 8 nodes. Should make a healthy clone. I'll give her 3-5 days & then start LST.
Not quite ready to Top & Clone the others yet. Getting really close though.
I received my Grow Bucket Inserts yesterday. Going to buy 3 Black Buckets today. SoHum should arrive tomorrow. I have Perlite. Really, just need to decide on water type to feed. Too many contradictory studies out there. One says R/O water only. Another says Tap Water is fine. Another says they use Spring Water for the extra minerals. Another says any type of Filtered Water is Fine. Yet there's a post on this site saying you can even feed nutrients without harming bacterial life. Hmmmm, Got me ??? Anybody know what type of water comes out of the "Glacier Ice" water machines around Phoenix, AZ. ? This is the water I'm probably going to use.
I guess it's the chlorine that some say you have to worry about. Anybody understand city water charts ? I was looking to see if mine has chlorine or not. Didn't see it by that name, but there's several things I think might be it. Don't know for sure.

Hey Buds garden looks great my friend.
Happy ladies. :thumb:
Hope everything is going well today.
@FelipeBlu is pretty good at breaking down the city water charts.
He is a pretty smart cookie.
I'm sure he wouldn't mind having a look.

Stay safe

Let's see that water report. I learned quite a bit about water chemistry when brewing, I can help you break it down.

I'll go back on the Water Co. site & get that info shortly.
I just finished swapping out lights & cloning so going to post some pics first.
I removed the Mars TSL2000 which will either go in my shed or a closet to use when the clones get bigger. It's replaces with the Vipar VA1000. I'm not running this light till I get to flower. Then I will run only the bloom dimmer knob to add some red. Here's pics of that with 1 plant per light.

After doing the lights I set up my DIY Bubble Cloner. @Emilya has a tutorial on it if your interested. I've used it several times with 100% success (knock on wood).

The Victim ! "POP TARTS"
Here she is before Topping.
14-154 3-12-22.JPG
14-155 3-12-22.JPG

Well since she's only getting topped once I decided to try something different than I usually do. I usually top between 4th & 5th nodes & remove the bottom 2 nodes & quad-line my plants. Well, I already removed the 1st node from all 4 plants a week or so ago. So this plant actually was 9 nodes high. I decided to leave the bottom 5 nodes so I'll end up with 10 branches to LST. Let's se how this turns out.... lol.
14-156 3-12-22.JPG
14-157 3-12-22.JPG
14-158 3-12-22.JPG

The way I clone.
As soon as I top the plant the cutting goes in a bowl of water. Then I cut all the fan leaves in 1/2 & remove the lowest growth.
14-159 3-12-22.JPG
14-160 3-12-22.JPG
14-161 3-12-22.JPG

Then I cut the stem at an angle while it's under water. I got this method from @Virgin Ground, as that's how they did it in a flower shop VG worked at. Made since so I started doing it.
14-162 3-12-22.JPG

Next I shave the bottom section of the stem with a good, sharp razor. This is the area I dip in Clonex & then put into the Clone Collar.
14-163 3-12-22.JPG
14-164 3-12-22.JPG
14-165 3-12-22.JPG

Insert the Clone Collar in the Bubble Cloner & Let it do it's thing.
14-166 3-12-22.JPG
14-167 3-12-22.JPG

Usually takes anywhere between 5-10 days to root. My Clones always wilt bad at first; but recover in a few days.

And a Shot of everything all said & done. WOW ! I managed to get it all done before 8 a.m. Plenty of time for a nap before I get to install new porch lights on my front & back porch. Lucky Me.... lol.

I'll leave you all with a group shot of how things look currently.

Time to smoke a fatty ! See Ya !

This is all I found on it. Not sure if any of these things are chlorine, by another name or not.

Just posting a couple of links so I can find these things easy.

Trying to get prepped & gain some knowledge before I try the Super Soil. I got the things I need now.... I think.

And a pic of the garden today.

My Clones. I decided to try the 2 little side branches also to see if they'd take. Really tiny stems so didn't expect either to survive. As you can see one died; but the other is doing well. Surprise, Surprise .... lol.
14-171 3-13-22.JPG

I do not see chlorine in that report. Or ca mg that is just contaminants. Can you get anything else? You can measure chlorine with a pool test kit.

Edit: And potassium metabisulphite will remove chlorine from water in seconds.

Thanks. I'll see if I can find something more a.s.a.p.

On 3-14 I Topped & Cloned the "WHITE WIDOW". I also started LST on the "POP TARTS". Both of these plants seem to be doing just fine.

14-178 3-14-22.JPG

Both of these plants got fed 32 oz. each today at 4 gr. MC Equivalent. Next feeding they will go to 4.5 gr. as the leaves are just a little on the light green side & there's no burnt leaf tips so I'm sure they can handle it.

My "OG KUSH" appears to be light on Nitrogen. The bottom leaves have yellowed & it's working it's way up to the 2nd set of leaves. There's no spotting or anything on her yet. Just yellowing. Not sure if I'm just not pushing the nutes fast enough or what; but I did up her feed to 4.5 gr. MC for 2 feedings. I'll probably go to 5 gr. next feeding.

The "AURORA INDICA" concerns me. Her bottom leaves started yellowing but now I'm getting a Mag. Def. along with an "N" Def. Not sure but it also looks like a "K" Def. (I think). Not liking this at all because this is the plant I want to clone for my comparison grow.
@InTheShed , haven't seen you lately. Sure need your input on this. Right now I'm feeding the MC Calculations without adding CalMag. Should I switch over to the Calculations that use the CalMag ? I didn't have any of this happen during the grow that I added the CalMag so I'm wondering if this is the issue or if it's something else. Quite possibly one thing locking out others. I pH to 6.3 every feeding with a Blue Lab so I doubt it's pH. No wilted or puffy leaves so not over watering. Just up-potted a few days ago so not rootbound. Could this plant just need stronger nutes ? Not sure what to think. Pics below. Thanks for any input !

14-179 3-15-22.JPG

14-181 3-15-22.JPG

My MC schedule in soil-less went by days old.
1-5 days old, 1mg
6-10 days old, 2mg
11-15, 3mg
16-20, 4mg
21-25, 5mg
26 to finish, 6mg

You might want to revisit post 75 (info above). Any nutrients supplied by the FFOF are gone. If your seeing light green or multiple deficiencies it's a good indication you're underfeeding.

You're also growing in soil. You DO NOT need to be pH'ing your nutrient solution. Its a waste of time and money to pH your feed in buffered soil-less or soil mediums.

Crisis mode at work these days so my time here has been minimal. I agree with farside (of course)! If you're seeing N def then bumping the nutes will raise the levels of Ca as well.
Yeah, haven't seen much of you & in the past few days not at all. Maybe we were on at different times. Never the less, I got a little worried & asked Teddy if you were still on the site. He replied, " Oh yeah, there's no problems with Shed". He's still around. Seems every time I mention someone who got banned I hear about it; so I asked first this time. How you suppose to know if someone gets banned ? They don't post a list so you can check.... Do they ?
I guess I'll up the nutes again. Seems like I'm doing this really fast. They only got 2 feeding at each level (2 / 3 / 3.5 / 4 / 4.5). So I should be close to 6 gr. per gal. right now ? I could have sworn @MrSauga said he rarely feeds over 5.5 gr.
I tried 6.5 once & that sure turned nice looking plants into a real mess. Sorry, but I'm a little nervous about jumping from 4.5 to 6 gr. all at once. Do you feel like it's OK for that big of a jump ?
I welcome your opinion too @farside05 . Thanks for the help.
