Good morning Denise! Yeah, Last year before we bought our house because of some nasty dealings with our landlord, we ended up losing almost all our Christmas decorations (and my wife is a holiday junkie :) ) including stuff we both had had since our youth, I decided to buy the Star Shower for her as an early Christmas present. She absolutely loved it. It works GREAT! We love it. I would recommend it to anyone who likes making their house look nice at Christmas, It looks like we put lights ALL over the front of our house! I've actually been waiting to see if anyone asked about it because around here they sold out about a month and a half before Christmas and everyone was trying to find themselves one. We had people knock on our door to ask where we found one. I was always keeping an eye on it because I was worried someone would steal it.

I have to be extra careful because it could jeopardize everything for me, That's one of the reason's my posts take so long to get up, I now type them and then reread them to be sure I'm not saying too much, for example, My simple response about the star shower took me 5 rewrites because I initially explained how we got into our financial situation + some other things about Christmas decorations (In this town most of the big wigs know us too well from all the years I worked at the FD, like in any town with Full time F.F./P.M.'s), but it could have given away too much if I had posted it in it's other forms. I admit I'm paranoid about it.
 
I do the samething Smoke and honestly don't care to much but I have to be careful as where I live is a very small town and everybody knows everybody's business... I very seldom leave my property but you would be surprised at how much of my business they talk about in the local bar... My fella comes home laughing at the tales of things I have done... It sounds like I live a most eventful life but apparently I am sleeping through it...:yikes:....:circle-of-love:
 
I would love to have one of those star showers just to peeve off a neighbor who has an easement on my driveway. He's a Bah Humbug person and puts up no decorations whatsoever. LOL

It's okay to be paranoid smokes, I look at that as being stealthy and careful. :circle-of-love:

We did the that exact thing with our one neighbor, We've been in this house for a while now, and our 1 neighbor has never introduced him/herself to us at all and when we tried, no one would answer the door even though we could hear the TV going and people talking before we rang the bell. They must have hated having our star shower on part of their house. If you don't position it just right, it's easy to have it shine on other places too.

and yes, I am trying to be as stealthy as I can as you know why I have to be paranoid. Anyway's, Did you notice the pic's I posted last night of the baby seedling? I did it thru a magnifying glass and they came out halfway decent (She is looking good now, all 4 of her cotyl what evers have all opened nicely after removing the membrane Dennise (I'm pretty sure it was her) spotted in the new close ups . When I have given the big ones a little more time and have an extra set of hands, I'm going to try that with them to determine gender once and for all. I also want to give Casey a chance to heal up a little, I noticed yesterday late afternoon that when I was trying to get those close ups, I must have broke one of her larger stalks coming off the main stalk. I used a tie wrap to put it back tight against the stalk. I'm hoping it will regrow together since it didn't come off, just split about halfway thru.

Thank You, I even checked the stalk a little bit ago and even though they are still sleeping (lights go 11:00 to 11:00) the broken stalk still looks healthy. I was worried about that one a bit because it was the first time I have broken a piece of the stalk.
 
First time I did it I almost pee'd my pants..:).. Worst case scenerio... You get to start learning to clone.... I have broken a few of them so badly that they couldn't be reattached so you just let em' grow legs and stick em in dirt and get a whole new girl... There's a bright side to everything....:circle-of-love:

So true on learning to clone. I just saved a seedling that had a stem fairly dead on the bottom. We've now got roots! YEY!

I've been wondering cloning and what you get. Is it a whole new plant or just the portion you cloned? We haven't discuused cloning yet in my "lessons".
 
Hey Smokey, I posted a pic earlier with that membrane thing and seed. You may not have seen it, just a visual for ya.

Great job on getting the repair in order! I've done it....we've probably all done it, and they grow back together nicely.

I saw your close up pics, Dennise had already told ya what to do. I like the slimy saliva idea....I'll need to try that one soon. LOL

Cloning is taking a part of a mother plant and getting it rooted to make another plant. This keeps your genetics in order from one single seed. That's a very basic description. PeeJay will be touching on that with you, and we will help along the way, when it's time for that for sure. It saves on spending dollars for seeds, and you can get a perpetual grow going by keeping the clones in veggie stage until you have room in the flower area.

Smoke I'm gonna let PJ or Canna take up the cloning with ya... I have done it and it's easy but for the most part I like growing from seed... Don't really know why... just do... but if I get a pheno type I really like I have cut a couple of clones and rooted them and it really is easy peasy..... You've got a ways to go though before you need to start muddying the waters with to much info... especially from me... I really am a blonde all the way to the roots and I do kinda know how to do this stuff but explaining it is not one of my better qualities...:yikes:...:circle-of-love:

Thank you for the info on cloning, But I still don't understand how you get around using the email notifications, I noticed I had a new email, So I hit refresh and it just showed the same thing and nothing new until I click the link in the new email and then I see the new post. But hitting refresh hasn't worked for me unless their is a setting I don't have set right.
