My First Time Growing

The bottoms usually pop right off those self watering pots and they can be set in a drip tray..

I'll take a look at them once I have a chance to look. I need to wait until everybody is up because of where they are is going too make some noise when I search. I looked at my home depot and they have 1 gallon pots for .98 cents. I'm sure I can get a few when we go.

If you get 3 of 'em it's all you need for a long time. The most you'll ever have plants in at one time is two. Beats the heck out of spending 6 bucks on paint, paint fumes, etc.

Your right again...... I will get 3 when we go. Then I'll be stocked up with smaller pots as well as the bigger ones I have 10 of.

Write down this info and take it with you:

Pennington Model # 100509068 Internet # 203221812 Store SKU # 520202 1 gal. Plastic Nursery Container.

Since most stores haven't set up their garden centers for the year, heaven only knows where they might be in the store, but with that info they will be able to help you find them quickly and easily. Nothing is worse, in my opinion, than wandering around a mega store looking for a specific item.

Oh God, I know what you mean. We did that the last time when we were looking for the seedling mix (and found the Jiffy crap). Between her pushing me in my wheelchair and us searching without being able to find any help for the first 20 minutes, it totally sucked. I have that stuff written down and will bring it with us. I was just showing my wife the plants (she hasn't seen them in a few days) and she was stunned at how much bigger they got in that little amount of time. She brought up a good point too. It may be the house's atmosphere here that's helping them. It stays nice and comfortable (except for the static) here all the time consistently. I also have a little humidifier going in the tent that makes it stay around 45% humidity in the tent when I remember to keep turning it on (It only runs an hour at a time and turns off) but what can you expect from a humidifier that uses a soda bottle as it's reservoir.

I've mentioned it before, Smokey, if you use the website and order for "In Store Pickup" they'll gather up what you order before you even show up. You just go to the service desk and tell 'em you're there for your stuff and you need the plywood cut.

You certainly don't have a climate problem. Remember way back when you started we were talking about climate a little and I mentioned if the grow tent is in a space where you live and are comfortable temperature wise there isn't much to worry about when using LED lighting. LEDs don't give off much heat. Adding the humidifier was smart since the home heating eats up a bunch of moisture.

Your right, you did tell me that. I will order that stuff thru the website and see how that works out in combination with getting the wood cut. I'm sure at a minimum it will save me time searching for the stuff I need. Thanks for the reminder. I had forgot that option.

Ha Ha. Beyond All Repair was Reggie on his first grow attempt but now he's Bangin' All Reefer.

I really liked the strains for pain recs you made for Smoke - Aurora Indica and NYC Deisel. Both are solid predictable genetics with proven track records, one daytime and one night time. Can Bonza ship to an address that differs from the billing addy, David?

smaller orders can, and those to trusted customers - but new customers with orders over £50 would normally be sent only to a verified address which is usually the billing address. Just PM me with any other questions.

David

Thanks, David. I will. Usually you have to 50 posts before you can send PMs - not sure if that's the case with sponsors? You might have to make a few more posts before you can PM.

Your humidifier is doing better than mine Bro. I plugged my expensive one in yesterday to help humidity in the drying closet....the fan runs but there sure isn't any moisture coming out of there. Just takin' up electricity. LOL

Glad you got the pots all taken care of, and on the cheap too!

Is anyone else having trouble getting their post notifications in their email? I haven't received a single one today. Just swung by to see if anything had JUST posted and have seen a few posts with no emails yet. In fact, the post post that Dr. Bob made last night still hasn't been emailed to me.

Hey Smokey, just wanted to make sure you know that you won't receive an email for every post. In the email you get for a post, it says:

"There may be other replies also, but you will not receive any more notifications until you visit the forum again."

I'm guessing you got a notification for a post above Dr. Bob's, then hadn't been back until after he'd posted his reply.

Also note the upcoming outage scheduled for tomorrow night:

Me too! :)
Can it be dried in the same place as the plants? I'm just wondering because of the odor. If not I have a place I can use that gets a little cold (60-65 degrees) if the temperature is not a problem. If it is, Then I'll have to do it in the bookcase after I get it's ventilation running thru the tent.

No, That's when I started noticing the problem. I never received an email saying he had posted and only saw it when I logged on this morning. When ever I get an email notification, I always hit it because of it saying that. But Canna said they are working on the software for the site. I'm getting them now though.

Thanks Arteekay, I appreciate the info! (especially about the outage, That I hadn't seen yet)

I always dry mine in a separate dark area that's fairly warm. Your temp sounds fine. I've always read that light will degrade the thc, so I do it in a dark place. Although, I have read recently from some long standing members here that they dry them in the same room with the plants.
Some use paper bags, some have drying racks, and some use boxes. There are lots of different methods. I just hang mine on plastic hangers in a closet.
Works great, except with the dry winter air in the house I've had to add some humidity. The hanging wet towel is working much better than the humidifier.

BTW, this is an unused closet in the spare bedroom where the vegging plants are, so I don't worry on the smell. There's nothing in there that it can affect. But your situation, you may want something to control the smell...which I think you all discussed earlier. I use Ona Gel, it rocks! But it's not cheap.

If a temp of 60-65 degrees is O.K., I have a place that is very discreet and that the smell won't matter. I was going to put the tent there originally but it is a couple inches too short. The only thing is I'm not sure about the humidity in it. But I really like the discretion of it. A wet towel might work there too if I use plastic to close off a portion of it. I'll worry about that when the time comes. Thanks though for explaining it to me Sis. I have a long time before I have to worry about that anyways.

I hit the help and feedback link under 420 resources and it just takes me to a bunch of threads. Does anyone know how I can just let the site runners know about me not getting email notifications (unless I'm supposed to start a thread to do it)? I counted and not counting any of my posts (obviously) and the last email I received from 420 was 12 posts ago and an hour and 28 minutes ago. The only reason I'm even seeing these is I randomly hit the last email (got it at 12:56 and it's 1:28 here now) and check the posts for new ones. It's probably them working on the software like Canna said they were doing, but I just want to be sure. Sorry to bug you guys about this, I know your not tech support, But I just don't know how to do it.

You have to create a thread on it Smokey. Just hit the "post new thread" link, title it and then write out the problem. It's under the "forum tools" tab upper right.

Thanks Canna, I'll do that right away (I just got an email from 420). I'll check it and see and if I'm still having the problem, I'll start a thread.
:thanks:

Maybe it's fixed, It was the email telling me about the post you just made. Thank you Canna for the help though!
