My First Grow: Grape Ape, Agent Orange x Huckleberry & Purple Skunk Mass

I may be doing 6 mains instead of 4. Or, I may just cut off the bottoms to make 4 each then top/fim those in a week or two for 8 mains on each plant.
Decided against this. This is my first grow, and I really want to get these girls into flower ASAP (within reason). So I'll just continue with the current training and let 'em grow. Probably switch to 12/12 around the 10 week mark, depending on how big they get until then. Limited space, so when they're 1/2 the height I want them to end up at when ready to harvest is when I'll switch. Oh, gonna let the clones grow without any training (if they live).

Looking good Chef, I’m going to tag along for this one.

Maybe give those a little mist? Domes are tricky. It helps to take it off for an hour or 2 the first day and gradually leave it off longer each day.

Plants look superb though! Keep it up

Oh Snap! (literally)

While adjusting the training for the GA#2, I friggin' snapped off one of the 2 main top branches... So, seeing as this is only my first grow, I've decided to discontinue ALL training. I really don't want to make any more rookie mistakes as bad as I just did. So, I'll just let 'em grow regular for now, and consider putting up a scrog net in another 4 weeks. I have a tendency to hit new hobbies hard and fast, trying to play with the big boys as quickly as possible. But I need to hold back a bit and learn more about this before I try anything new. I'll just let nature take it's course with these girls from now on, with the possible exception of the scrog down the road a bit.

The whole family. The "zombie clones" still seem to be coming back to life, although the larger fan leaves on all three have pretty much given up the ghost.

Looks like I have a bit of a deficiency going on here. I was planning on Tuesdays for watering and Saturdays for nutes, but if they're hungry right now I can't deny them to their right to sustenance. So I'll start with nutes today and every Friday, and regular waterings on Mondays.

The "zombie clones" are definitely doing better. Still waiting for some roots to be seen through the clear plastic Solo cups, but at least they're showing signs of growth.

DAY 28 (from dry seed)

I guess it's time for an update - things are moving along at a steady pace. The zombie clones are still showing signs of improvement, and the AOxH clone is finally showing a bit of root through the clear Solo cup.

DAY 32

So, it's update time. I changed my mind - again - and started the LST again, only being much more careful and gentle this time. They seem to be taking well to the training. I bought some 3.5" trellis netting and plan to start the 12/12 and scrogging in about 3-4 weeks.

We have girls! I purchased feminized seeds from a dude in Oregon, and that's what he sent. :D All 4 plants have these.

The zombie clones have definitely come back to life and are starting to show strong roots. If they hadn't been so close to death, I'd be worried about the condition of some of the fan leaves, but that's just par for the course. I'll trim them once the roots get settled into their new homes, which I'm planning on transplanting these into their forever homes (3 gallon fabric pots) on Saturday.

Looking real good,Chef-glad to see the clones chose life!
So,looks like you're headed for a full house-are the clones
going to end up in the same size pots as the big girls?

Decided to give the girls a haircut today. Hopefully, the only/last one before I switch to 12/12 in a few weeks.

Here they are after their haircuts. Pardon the color (or lack thereof), I didn't feel like editing them for color correction in Lightroom.

Decided it was time to transplant the zombie clones. The roots all look strong, and one clone has them coming out of the bottom of her cup.

I'm thinkin' these ones will be going outside on the front porch (I have a 2nd floor apartment), so I got these cheap plastic pots from Wally World. There's no more room for them once the 4 mommas start to flower. Hadda drill drainage holes in them, as well as a few training holes in the sides.

I really like this organic soil from Home Depot, and it's cheap - around $6-7 per 25# (I think) bag. Mixed it up with about 30% perlite.

The girls in their new homes. It was nutrient day for the 4 larger plants (Big Bloom, Grow Big, and Sensi's Cal-Mag Xtra - all at 50% strength), so I took what was left over and diluted it to about 25% strength. I figured seeing as how these are clones, they're technically the same age as the larger plants and could probably use the nutes. So I only went with 25% strength just to be safe and hopefully don't burn them. They've had enough of a struggle already.
