Munki's Ebb n Flow 3 x 3 SCROG 400W HPS Grow

Plants are looking great and look like you are filling that screen up with some nice looking buds. Great job and am looking forward to the next few weeks..

yeah traditionaly i like to just stick to sea of geen. so 4 per sq. ft. is ideal for me.its noe that much work. well at least after doing it for so long it just seems like it just a normal thin. i usually just single cola the crop. this is wy i feal if i do the sam procedure then let them veg a lil longer then normal it would be sucessfull.i never grow lower branches anyways.

Yep, SOG gets you larger colas versus more smaller buds with ScrOG. Both should have the same weight. If you can keep all the plants in the SOG at the same height and use a light mover, it will do well. Problem is there isn't many strategies to control the height of the individual clone growths except rotating the middle pots with the outer ones periodically.

Nice bud shots with SOG but ya gotta take extra precautions for mold. Biggest factor for me is legal concerns of wanting to keep plant numbers low. ScrOG does this very well.

I got a question that I think I know the answer to but I want to confirm first. My plants are budding at practically every internode including some that are below the screen. If they are even just one inch below the screen at this point, should I nip them off so the plant directs the energy to the top buds? I'll take pics of them tonight. There aren't a lot of them but if they will ultimately be a drain on the upper buds, I wouldn't mind collecting them and drying em out. Should I do this?

well said about the whole s.o.g.

if you do it wont hurt to clip or keep them. the down side is remember as the foliage fills up more there will be alot less light so a decrease in potency for those low nugs.

but i usually keep a few growing so i can taste the nugs as it gets later in the flowering stage.this keeps me from sampling the top nugs.so in my opionion keep a few and know that those are thier for a certain week.

I'm interested in this as well. Last time, I left the small/lower bud sites on the branches until harvest and mixed them in with the clippings and stems and made some killer butter. Since my goal this time around is for bigger thicker tighter plumpier buds, I'd be willing to sacrifice these energy thieves.

I was able to snap some photos last night just as the HPS lamp came on.

getting ready for the final stretch?

I'm really tempted to let them just grow out but I'm only approaching flower day 18. I've been trying to let them grow through for 2 - 3 days in order to better judge the stretching rate. One more tuck for the whole screen may be in order though I'm debating letting the ones to the edge stay through the screen as they are farther away from the light source and the screen bows in the middle by about 1 1/2 inches so letting the edges get a head start makes up for that somewhat.

your scrog technique looks great. I saw a few folks who bowed their screens a bit so that the plants on the outside would be the same distance. maybe try that next time???

great journal, + rep, brother.

Thanks for all the positive support everyone. +reps to all.

Regarding the bowing screen, I will try to do more to counteract this effect next time though it hasn't been too big a deal for me so far. I don't have too many budsites in the middle of the screen; they have been forced to the edges.

I will say from my untrained eye that the plants appear to be white widow. I'm leaning that way from how frosty the leaves near the budsites are getting st 2 1/2 weeks into 12/12 lighting.

Going to post a bunch of pics for this should be the last time I pull the buds underneath the screen. Only some along the edges are allowed to remain above the screen.

The before shots as they woke up for their morning, day 65, flowering day 19.

So, what do y'all think?

Here is a close up pic of what those little tufts look like up close. I actually have two of them here. They are the little buds that have reformed underneath the screen. My guess is to remove them all tomorrow. Does everyone else concur?
