Munki's 2 x 4 Bubba Kush ScrOG Bondage

Coming along nicely. Gets a bit cold at night (mid 50s) but could get high 40s soon. Days generally get warmer but rarely in the low 70s.

Well here are the pics. Measured Big Bertha's trunk circumference 2 inches above the growrocks to be 1 3/4 inches. So that puts the diameter at over 1/4 inch (.28 inch). She is stocky but ready to hit the net.

Wow those girls are looking nice. especially Big Bertha!

For hydroton, I have bought 2 10 liter bags of it and each was from a different manufacturer I think. I believe the clay is still sourced from the same place so I think you will be fine with any hydroton. For pumps, I got two different makers of pumps in there. The ones that go for like $12 at the hydro store. Off the top of my head, I think they were rated like at 160 GPH. Just make sure the pump has enough head height to get to the height of the top of your flood bucket or tray. It takes probably around 7 - 8 minutes for a pump to flood a bucket in my system presently.

So I'm going to try to use one pump to flood 2ea 11 qt buckets and my timer has 15 minute intervals that I can use so hopeefully I can make the most out of my timed section. Have you tried this and did it work or is that why you used 1 pump per bucket?

I beleive he said they were clones from a buddy. They are looking great man. I got a pre 98 bubba mom and a few clones from her grow'n now. U should check it out. They look realy similar. Keep it up bro.

Issue is in the siphon draining. In order to drain the two buckets with a siphon action, the two buckets would need to be linked by a tube at the bottom of the buckets. I like keeping all bucket breaches as high as I can to minimize leaking. One pump per bucket helps in allowing staggered waterings so the rez level does not dip as low. Finally, if a pump fails, it only affects the one plant instead of multiple ones. In my small grow it was worth the extra pump and timer.

Those are bubba alright! Got a few in my garden now and the leaves are exactly like yours, looks like we got A similar phenotype.

Munki Check this out.......Here and here

good choice of strain bro

Thanks Dean. I'll check out yours when I get a chance. I'm at work right now. Shhhhh! :shhh:

Were these from clone or seed? looking good. I want to do something similar soon.

It is from clone and from an old line. I expect great things from her.

1.75/3.14 = .54 (Sorry, couldn't help myself.)

Yep, you got me. It was in my head and I had 2pi*R=C so I reported the radius instead of the diameter. Thanks for the catch OBX. It is quite thick!

I got the Quantum ballast in last night and got a chance to hook it up before going to work. Couple items to note right away.

The dimming feature reduces electrical consumption.
The dimming feature is not linear.

I tried each setting (100%, 75%, 50%). I have my kill-a-watt meter hooked to the whole tent. Normally, with the lights off and no pumps running, the consumption is 210 watts. Total wattage observed at each setting were 890, 670, and 620. So, the net wattage for the ballast assuming my pumps weren't running were 680, 460, 410. The actual power ratings I observe are 113%, 77%, and 68% respectively. We shall see if this overdriving of the lamp causes any issues.

The ballast itself is much smaller, lighter, and cooler than the magnetic ballast.

Those are some wonderfully healthy looking plants. Love seeing there progress. Great job...

Thx Munki. I finally saw the cannastats ebb and flow system with the tube going to the bottom of the bucket that you posted somewhere. Hopefully by the time I start this ebb and flow, I should have all my ducks in a row.

Starting Week 5: Nutrients topped off in reservoir to bring it to 8ml/gal micro and 16ml/gal bloom. I added a full dose (12ml) of Floralicious plus to the mix as well.

Looking very nice. Always love the nice clear pics. Thats screen is going to full before you know it. Great job. + rep

nice job on those ladies, those leaves are humongo. do u switch to 12/12 when the reach the net?

No but I do think I will do the switch within 2 weeks. I'm just going to have to decide based on a feeling as I haven't worked with this strain before. I would like to see some of the side branching grow some more and get to screen height as well.
