Munki's 2 x 4 Bubba Kush ScrOG Bondage

Nice girls, Do you do anything to get those side branches to grow more?

Wasn't planning on doing anything but use the screen for training. If I am not happy with the branching by December 11th, then I'll reassess my options.

looking Sweet Munki. Clean, neat, well thought out, vigourous plants...all perfect
reps bro

Thanks Pit. I have some concern that the strain may be too stout and rigid stem wise to train into the screen. Conversely, the fast stretch of a sativa actually has a benefit here in a ScrOG screen. We shall see how this indica fares so stay tuned!

Man, I am so excited to see how this unfolds, very interseting dilema with this strain.I'm assuming it should start branching out more once it really starts to hit the screen?

The branching is there but they are still under 4 inches long and shaded under the huge top leaves. The petioles of the main stem leaves each have a deep groove in the top of them. It seems that is where the branch that emerges from the main stalk was first developed before separating out.

I was able to take the large fan leaves at the top of Big Bertha and weave them into the netting so they have direct exposure to the light. Looks like a dinner plate.

Been considering adding a 4 foot light mover to the grow. I would attach the UV lamp to one long side of the hood and rotate the hood 90 from how it is now. Then have it move long ways across the ScrOG so the entire screen could get direct light from both lamps. I could get it for $100 shipped.

So question for those who have the light movers. Would this be good for my grow considering I have a 600 watt lamp which is supposed to cover the entire 4 x 4 foot tent area already. I know the mover would be great on a longer ScrOG grow but how beneficial would it be over 4 feet?

i second that, I can't wait to see that screen full o' buds!

IMHO movers are great because they change the angle the plant would get light which for you is a good thing because of how dence bubba grows. It should give those lower branches a little more direct light. I'd say go for it! Your bubba will love u

My mover makes up for my crappy hood - it really distributes the light, and I second nycal's comment about the changing angle reaching areas that would otherwise not get light. You can also get the light closer to the canopy for better efficiency.

I thought about the question you asked on my thread a bit more - my light throws the light to the sides well, but not longways, so having light moving along the bulb's axis would seem to provide better coverage than turning it 90 degrees.

Didn't think of that, good idea man!

Thanks for your input on this OBX.

Growth is evident every day so I will make more frequent updates. Here they are waking up at day 31 I think. Note all the tight internodes; hoping the side branches will just bush out and reach out far enough to get to the screen.

I love how beefy it looks, that thing is getting ready to pack on some weight, and it knows it. good show!
