MSquared's - Indoor - Soil - Multi Strain - 1800w - Perpetual

Re: MSquared's - Indoor/Soil - Multi Strain - 1800w - Perpetual

No worries and thanks for stopping by :thumb:

It is crazy, I wish I could have gotten a stable clone off of it, but they didn't take. I have another sprouting as I am writing this, so i hope the phenos are the same, but we shall see. I think as it is it is going to be a good yeilder and it really does smell of vanilla when moved or squeezed.
It is unlike anything I have smelled before. I sure hope she hits as good as smells.

:thankyou: and :peace:

thanx for the welcome, btw you could try taking a few flowering clones or reveg her after harvesting.

Re: MSquared's - Indoor/Soil - Multi Strain - 1800w - Perpetual

Great looking grow! Sorry I didn't get on board sooner.

I agree with TBD take a cutting, it will take some time but pamper it and be patient. I have had a flowering clone root in 23 days at best. Re-veg is an excellent option and will provide many cuttings.

Re: MSquared's - Indoor/Soil - Multi Strain - 1800w - Perpetual

nice looking updates those things are looking ready to come down soon! I'm glad you added plenty of updates it was nice to look over them. i think your doing a gret job and wouldnt have you change a thing:goodjob:

:thankyou: :thumb: I really appreciate that. You have a couple of monsters getting ready to bloom, yeah baby yeah (makes sounds like austin powers)
Can't wait to see those as well.

:thankyou: for stopping by and you know what, I agree! I think that is a great idea. I just don't have the best luck taking flowering clones, but I will give the ole' college try. I have not re-vegged a plant yet so maybe I will do both. take a few off of her and then reveg if they don't take :thumb: excellent idea.

:high-five: thanks for stopping by! ahhhh patience... yes I have some of that - lol. I will snip some tonight to give them a chance, before I try the reveg. I know others have done it, but I have not tried that. I usually get plenty of clones, but this time it didn't works so good. I don't think it was the plant, but the cold. I have since gotten a seedling heat mat that I will use to not have the problem again.

:peace:

Now here is a question for everyone. If you take a flowering clone do you leave the bud that has pistils on it or pinch those off right away. I have done it both ways before, but don't remember which worked better.

Re: MSquared's - Indoor/Soil - Multi Strain - 1800w - Perpetual

The only damage I do is what it takes to physically take the cutting. I do not wish to cause any more stress at that time. Once rooted and showing signs of vigorous growth the sky is the limit. I do trim leaves on my cuttings when taking them. SO more energy is focused on rooting and not photosynthesis

Same logic to me..... We know topping stresses a plant.

I take that same exact approach. :thankyou: for sharing that here. I didn't get to taking the clones last night, so I will be doing it tonight and posting it tomorrow. Thanks again.

~VEG update, Info & LST~

Good morning :420:!! I hope everyone has a great weekend! So glad it is Friday!

I decided it was time for me to take on my first LST. I think it went really well so I did another. I can see it can be kind of addicting - lol. I used pipe cleaners and binder clips as these pots have these really wonderful lips on them.

So lets take a look at some of the pics I took. I LSTd my IDK1 which I don't know if it is a girl yet so I am going to take a clone of it and put it into 12/12 so it will show sex. Does anyone know if I should let it root or can I just take the clone and put it in flr? I sure hope someone comments on this. Thanks.

ok first up is IDK1 - this was just after tieing her (hopeful) down.

Here are the 2 back with their 6 total plants, I raised the light bank up to take photos. This is just after completing the LST.

and here are the 2 this morning after 12 hours of light. I run GLR for veg so the main light cycle for glr is 12hrs. I can't believe how well they react to lst! I mean they have already turned up wards and started growing vigorously. I just  it!

These next couple are of the VK1 clones I took off of my flowering VK1 plant. I don't know if they are going to make it, but they have a nice happy enviro to root in. they are on a seedling heat mat with a self watering station and humidity dome.

So I hope the clones make it and if they don't then I will try a reveg of VK1 once I harvest her in a few weeks.
I think the 2 LSTs are doing fantastic I just need to find out if they are females... So any and all suggestions are welcome for that.

Thanks everyone and :peace:

:thankyou: it sure was a lot of fun to do! appreciate that and yeah going pretty good. the only thing I am bumbed about is my timing for the next group going in. I wanted them in there this weekend, but that is not happening. They are not ready in my book. So I will wait and :MoreNutes: feed them more and more until they are big and strong! lol
I sure hope they make it. It is an interesting expirement to say the least. I mean the mother was like 6-7 weeks in bloom when I took them yesterday...
{shrugs} so we shall see.

I hope you don't have the dreaded root rot and my thoughts are with you.

:thankyou: I will have pics tomorrow with my udpate. I know it is risky, but I can't win if I don't play, right?
:peace:

Odds are they won't all survive, but you only need one to secure it's future. Fingers are crossed.

very true, and I know this, but thought hey worth a try. Plus I got to quick dry some and try it out. I have never had VK before so I was hoping it would be good and I was right. The smell is def a vanilla scent and the exhale was even better tasting! The effect was good for sure. Now mind you this was off a bottom limb and the plant still has a couple weeks to go. So overall I was completely smitten with this plant. :)

So yeah fingers crossed on at least one making it. I do have another sprout up, but who knows if it will have the same phenos as this one.

:thankyou: very much! tuck... hmm now thats a good idea. Thanks for that. I will see what I can tuck on them, I am usually a chop it kind of guy, but I really like that idea.
