MSquared's - Indoor - Soil - Multi Strain - 1800w - Perpetual

Re: MSquared's - Indoor/Soil - Multi Strain - 1800w - Perpetual

Good Afternoon :420: !!! ~Picture & Info Update~

The ladies (at least I hope so) are all doing well, well at least the ones that are left. I have culled a few 5 I think. They were small scraggly looking so instead of wasting time and resources on them I culled them. So I have 7 that are getting big and beautiful. I have also been collecting the resources to change my medium over to a high brix approach (thanks Doc & Vape). So I will get to all that later on.

I will update Flr on Friday.

So here we go and onto the pics.
This first two is of IDK2, SSH2 & JH

Here are the VK1 clones which are on day 13, so I hope to see roots soon!

So all that about sums up Veg. They have about 2 weeks to go before I move them to Flr. I want to take at least 2 clones from all of these before the flip and keep 3 of the clones as mothers. I am thinking IDK1, RB and JH - not sure about the SSh yet but there is still plenty of time for that.

Re: MSquared's - Indoor/Soil - Multi Strain - 1800w - Perpetual

:thanks: OMM! I reallly like them too. I am gong to finish whats left in flr tonight, scrub the flr room out and then put my 8 large veg girls into there with 1200 blazin watts of MH goodness :) :thumb: I am hoping they really grow during the next couple weeks before I flip to 12/12. I am also hoping for a min of 2 clones per plant, but I will take about every one I can get!

I will have another update tomorrow
Thanks for stopping by!

Alright :420: ~ love the new logo btw!
~HARVEST UPDATE Pics/Info~

So over the past week I have harvested the 5 I had in FLR. Today would have been day 63, but with all the initial troubles I had they were ready sooner than expected. Only 2 of them yielded where I wanted them to, but hey it was the first time I have grown those 3 strains before.
VK = vanilla kush
TB = The Bomb
ReCon = ReCon from DNA
IDK - I don't know - I thought it was a CC or Conf Cheese, but after watching her grow and harvest she didn't smell or look like a CC so I am going with IDK.

I usually take a wet weight, being that I know I loose somewhere close to 70 - 75% weight when dried and cured.
So I only took wet weights from 2 of the 5. I had 1 ReCon, 1 VK, 1 IDk and 2 TBs
I took weights on the ReCon and 1 TB.
ReCon - 102g wet which should = about 1z
TB was a fine producer and hit where I wanted them all to be - 239g wet = 2.5z

They have all been mostly manicured and are drying/curing as I type this. I have had good preliminary reports on the smoke/effectiveness. I will do a thorough smoke report as soon as they are all done and been curing for a week. Which should be around 4/20 (oh yeah gonna be a good one this year! :)).

I have a few pics from harvest for you all, enjoy!

First up is the VK and TB before chop.

I will have another update later today on the state of the garden. My flower room is empty atm {sadface}, but I have to scrub it clean and get the 8 veg girls in there tonight under MH for a couple of weeks before flipping to 12/12.

Lessons learned this go around. Don't expect to much from a first time strain! You just never know what the genetics are going to come out like with your growing style. Also, keep temps in the 70s, they were way to cold initially and I believe that effected them. Gnats suck @ss! I had a pretty bad infestation before I realized it and I believe it damaged some of them. I have since taken strict precautions against them for the future. I also don't know if all strains like being defolinated, so I am going to not do that this go around. Don't get me wrong I will remove some fans, but not to the extent I did before.

So those are some of the things I am going to take into this next round. I would really like to be on a monthly harvest schedule, but I am not there yet.

Thanks everyone and have a great 420 day!

Thanks Brotha! Nice to see you! I know right and the 3.5 for just the 2 plants. I think I will be able to add another 2z from the other 3 for a total of 5.5z or so. So not horrible at all. I am more excited about the taste/effect they have. I will be doing full smoke reports in the strains section as soon as I can! :thumb:

I know, I will get there at some point. Its just one of those goals I am after, but at least I get to scrub it out and fill it with some really beautiful ladies tonight. I have so much work ahead of me this weekend. I am really excited about it actually.

Re: MSquared's - Indoor/Soil - Multi Strain - 1800w - Perpetual

Very tasty indeed...
:bravo:

:thanks: brotha! Always nice to see you stop by.
:peace:

Great results, MSquared. I'm impressed by your conclusions. I remember you doing that before. We should all be so diligent about finding improvements.

:bravo:

:peace:

I try to find something to learn upon each and every grow. At some point one would hope to have a near perfect run, but alas that day is still in the future for me. LOL.

Thanks as always Abe!

I'm starting to feel I'm pretty lucky to just finish one. :high-five: I can't see myself ever quiting though..still to much fun. Hope your having a good day.:high-five:

Re: MSquared's - Indoor/Soil - Multi Strain - 1800w - Perpetual

Good Morning :420: !!

~VEG Update Info/Pic~

So I have been very busy around the garden lately. As most of you know I have harvested my first round this season and it was pretty good, but now it is time to get the next group started.
I have put them in the flower chamber with 2 600 MH and 1 600 HPS higher up and in the middle of the room. I don't know if the HPD helps or not. I have 4 plants under a MH on each side of the room. They should really start to take off now. I have 4 in 8g containers and 4 of them in 4g containers.

I also still have the VK1 clones and they are still alive and one of them even has roots showing. So that is good news, now if I could just coax 3 more to develop roots I would be a happy camper. :thumb:

So here is a couple of pics of them. They don't look real good, but they are alive.

2012-04-06_06-55-34_3851.jpg

Here are the seedlings I have going. I think there are 10 of them. They are doing well and they have a good environment to grow in.

2012-04-09_07-52-14_211.jpg

So as you can see by this next pic that I have a whole bunch of room still, but I will hopefully get this filled up by the next round so a couple of months from now. You can see the cool air intake in the middle of the room. You can also clearly see the 4 plants on each side of the room. They are each under a 600w MH and there is one 600w HPS higher up in the middle. I also switched from glr lighting (which is easy with to do with flours) to 18/6. I didn't want my ballasts turning on more than once in a 24hr cycle. I think they had to get used to the new light schedule so I hope they don't go into shock from it. I switched on 4/6 to the new schedule and so this has been 3 days and they are looking pretty good. With all that light the temps have gone up to 82 which I actually like.

2012-04-08_20-22-42_739.jpg

Here is the left side of the room. To the far left in the 8g pot is RB2, front center is SSH, behind it is a JH and to the right is an IDK.

2012-04-09_07-53-06_7.jpg

So that about wraps up VEG. I know not to exciting but I enjoy this stage. I am hoping to keep them in there under 18/6 and MH for about 2 weeks before switching to 12/12. They are all in between 11 and 16" now, so I have a little ways to go. I am hoping in a week I can take clones and then another week make the switch.

Let me know what you guys and gals think! Have a great day everyone!
:peace:

Re: MSquared's - Indoor/Soil - Multi Strain - 1800w - Perpetual

Looks like you got some great things growing. Is the IDK just some bag seed that you don't know what it is or an a abbreviation of an actual strain?

:thanks: for stopping by! I am pretty happy so far and can't complain. IDK stands for I Don't Know. LOL
It was a bag seed from some really great stuff I had tried. It was a friends and he was like so you want the seeds and I said sure I will take them off your hands. He was just going to toss them. I am not even sure he knew what they were from, we just knew it was some really great stuff.
All I know is it is at least indica dom.

:peace: and come by anytime!

Re: MSquared's - Indoor/Soil - Multi Strain - 1800w - Perpetual

Thanks bud I figured that's what it was. I had some bag seeds from some great herb and either lost them seeds or they got tossed without my knowledge.

ohh no that is to bad. I think there are some great genetics floating around in some of those "bag" seeds as we like to call them. I have only ever grown know genetics, but this stuff (IDKs) were really good. I just couldn't pass them up. I also have some seeds I popped that I call TM (tasty meds - LOL). This was some really great herb that I thought I could do better too.

Come by anytime :peace:

As per your usual.....they look mighty fine!

:thanks: so much OMM! I am having a blast and I really like it when everything is working as I intended it to. LOL but as we all know something will inevitably come up! :thumb:

I have also terminated the VK1 clones. As much as I liked the VK1 plant I had, I don't think that pheno was a very good one.
I have another VK seedling going so I am going to see what it is like.

Yes in deed! When it goes as planned it's great.

Maybe the gremlins wont get you this time! They are hanging around watching for sure! Keep doing what your doing, that will keep em away.

Good Luck with that next VK! :thumb:

:thumb: Thanks OMM. I sure hope those little evil gremlins stay away from all our grows this season, LOL. We know they are.

Thanks I will certainly try. I have been reading and gathing supplies to change my grow medium over to hight brix (thx doc bud and Vape) solution. So that is going to be interesting to say the least.
I see a lot of people discussing OC+ again which is a great product for sure. I know you use it and I use a very similar product also made by scotts, so I am going to be hard pressed to leave my very simple soil reciepe and move to the high brix approach.
Talk to you soon.

Re: MSquared's - Indoor/Soil - Multi Strain - 1800w - Perpetual

Everything is pretty quite around the garden with just veg going on. I will have pics up tomorrow if anyone is interested. :thumb:
I will be taking clones over the next couple of days as well. I was looking at them closely last night and they have some good clones to give up. I would like to take at least 20, so we will see if I can get that many.
Harvest is curing nicely I might add and I will have smoke reports over the next couple of days as well.
Hope everyone is having a great :420: day!

Keep in mind it is still very early in my high Brix "experiment"...so things could still go in different directions...but as of this moment I'll say I'm seeing some of the fastest growth, and best looking plants I've ever grown, and they're growing in out-of-the-bag potting soil, a bit of manure and some rock dust! :)

It wasn't that long ago I was where you are now! I was very happy with my soil mix and using OC+. Things were simple and the weed was first-rate! I didn't want to change! But if you could see the smile on my face when I step into my grow room now... :yahoo:

We'll have to wait and see how things turn out, but if they keep going in the current direction I won't be looking back!

:Namaste:
