Re: MSquared's - Indoor/Soil - Multi Strain - 1800w - Perpetual

Wow, the Vanilla Kush is insane! I need to remember to ask you for the smoke report later. Nice pictures too.

:peace:

I like her too, but not sure what to expect from her. I will be doing a ReCon, Vanilla Kush and THC - The Bomb smoke reports as soon as I can.

:thanks: for stopping by!
:peace:

Everythings looking awesome MS!!:bravo::circle-of-love::Namaste:

That is such a purdy vanilla kush you got there!:cheer:

:thanks: so much. I didn't do much to her, as I didn't know really what to expect from the strain. The next one will surely be fimmed at a min.

Thanks for stopping by :thumb:

Re: MSquared's - Indoor/Soil - Multi Strain - 1800w - Perpetual

nice, looking forward to that strain review on this stuff. 4 weeks wont be all that bad

:thumb: no problem. I have done a couple of strain reviews before and posted them there. I will post them here and over at the strain review section as well.
I hate the wait, as I usually feel like I could do more for them, ya know.
So thanks for stopping by and see you around!

Re: MSquared's - Indoor/Soil - Multi Strain - 1800w - Perpetual

Good Afternoon :420:! ~ warning long update occuring...~
~VEG update and Info~

So I had some transplanting to do as a couple of my vegging plants were starting to need water every other day and some of the roots were starting to poke out the bottom drain holes. So I have amended my soil mixture and I will post in this update. This is by no means a scientific recipe, but one of my own through trial and error and I have gotten some beautiful plants with the previous mixture and this one is even better.

So here is the rootbound plants that I transplanted last night. This one is an IDK (which means I don't know what it is) which is looking more indica everyday.

Here they both are just after transplanting them into their new 8gal containers. I know I am hoping for females as well, if not oh well and as you can see they are a little droopy... {sadface}
2012-03-13_20-30-55_761.jpg

Now this next picture is of this morning which is the end of their light cycle ( I run my lights at night). I can't believe that they grew so much and perked up and turned even a darker shade of green. I believe this be in part from the AZOMITE I put in the soil mixture. which you will see in the picture of the mix. {happyface} :morenutes:

2012-03-14_06-51-24_388.jpg

Now this is the new soil mixture I use. I have never tried this mix with seedlings only vegging and flowering plants. Anybody can get these items as most of it minus the AZOMITE was purchased from those big home improvement stores (insert joke names for home chepo here)

SoilMixture.jpg

This next pic is of the normal vegging girls, but I will have to trans and trim some of these soon.
2012-03-14_06-52-27_12.jpg

This one is of some of the vegging plants as well. I just transplanted RBF1 into the new soil mix as well. She was not looking very good. She is looking better now and it is hard to tell by the pic, but she is doing much better in only 1 light cycle.
2012-03-14_06-53-06_161.jpg

These next 2 are of beans that I got from something I called Tasty Meds or TM for short. (I really liked the overall effect of this weed, but felt I could do it even better.) I dropped 7 beans and they all sprouted. I planted them and I know by the pics it is hard to see but there are 3 already above soil.

So that wraps up this Veg Room update. :thanks: all for stopping by and :peace:

BTW - has anyone transplanted in the middle of flower before? side affects or ill affects from it and why. Thanks.

Re: MSquared's - Indoor/Soil - Multi Strain - 1800w - Perpetual

Thanks for getting back to me about your lighting/ventilation setup!

it sounds like you have that thing dialed. I am in the process of building my new grow. This one is going to go down in a basement fashion. I will probably fight the cold and not the heat! hahaha

thanks again

No problem and anytime :thumb:

mostly, but there are enviro swings that I do have to adjust for. I don't have an all-in-one contoller so I have to watch a little closer and adjust things form time to time.
I would rather heat than cool, but goog luck.

:thanks: for stopping by. :peace:

Re: MSquared's - Indoor/Soil - Multi Strain - 1800w - Perpetual

My main eviro-sensing device is my skin. I spend nearly all my time in my grow room, nearly naked. If I'm comfortable, so are my plants. I have a temp/humidity device for numbers, but it seldom strays far from 77/30. Skin is closer to actuator devices: my hands.

That is just GREAT gator, I know gators love to bask in the sun!:rofl:
I have a few hydrometers as well. I usually stary near 80 with lights on and anywhere from 66 - 70 with lights off. The rh stays from 37% to 42%.
Love it I just love it.

Thanks for stopping by :thumb:

Thanks! I think they are all looking so healthy. I will do a full update tomorrow. I don't know it I will do both flr and veg, but either way one will get updated tomorrow.

I transplanted like 4 or 5 more this weekend and I still have a few to go.

Thanks for stopping by :thumb:

Re: MSquared's - Indoor/Soil - Multi Strain - 1800w - Perpetual

if you have time try to update both lol.translplanted 5 of them huh? i need to get me a soil grow going so i can understand all that stuff. i've watched enough transplants to get the idea but i wanna learn more about it. heres a quick question. i see people go from 2 liters to 1 gallon pots to 3 gallon pots then to 5 gallons, does it slow down the plants growth to start off in 3 or 5 gallons compared to smaller ones?

I will certainly try. I will say that if I do post both they will be split up. Just to much info at one time. LOL.

It really is simple with soil. I don't check ph of anything. I just build my soil using my recipe and water. I usually only like to transplant once. I go from my 1/2 gal to their final home of either the 4gal or 8gal (depedning on if it is a confirmed female and wether or not I am going to keep it a mom). mine usually don't miss a beat when I trans them. I have seen that some have trans shock, but I have never really experienced that.

I don't think it would. example. If I take a clone that I know is a female I will go directly to its final pot size. If I start with reg seed then I will usually start in 1/2 gal and then trans it later to a 4 gal, take clones and run one under 12/12 to see if it is a girl if it isn't then off with his head and if it is I may trans again to a final larger container.

Hope all this helps and :peace:

Re: MSquared's - Indoor/Soil - Multi Strain - 1800w - Perpetual

Good Morning :420: ! ~VEG update and Info~

I will update the flr room tomorrow. So I had to transplant a bunch of the ladies last night. I did 4 last night. They are all looking really good.
The pics are not the best quality, but they are good enough.
so here we go.

This first few are of IDK1 which is just turning out to be a beautiful plant :thumb: I truly hope it is going to be a girl! She is now 13" tall and has been fimmed.
I believe that is a JH on the left and IDK1 on the right.

This is a view of the 6 I have in 8gal pots. I have a couple of the Bomb's clones and a couple of IDKs and RB and a Jack Herrer
2012-03-20_07-07-11_281.jpg

this is of the newly transd CC, IDK, TB and JH and to the right is new little ones I am calling TMs or Tasty Meds.
2012-03-20_07-07-40_158.jpg

and last but certainly not least is the SSh that is almost ready to be transplanted.
2012-03-20_07-07-54_804.jpg

I would really like it if I could get 13 or 14 ready to go into flr in about 4 to 5 weeks. fingers crossed. I want them to be at least 20" but I will settle for 18" if they are growing vigorously.

I hope everyone enjoys and thanks for stopping by.

Re: MSquared's - Indoor/Soil - Multi Strain - 1800w - Perpetual

I usally hate joning so late but this journal caught my eye. Looking good so far bro.

That VK looks crazy and seems perfect for sog growing

No worries and thanks for stopping by :thumb:

It is crazy, I wish I could have gotten a stable clone off of it, but they didn't take. I have another sprouting as I am writing this, so i hope the phenos are the same, but we shall see. I think as it is it is going to be a good yeilder and it really does smell of vanilla when moved or squeezed.
It is unlike anything I have smelled before. I sure hope she hits as good as smells.

:thanks: and :peace:

Re: MSquared's - Indoor/Soil - Multi Strain - 1800w - Perpetual

Good Morning :420:!! ~FLR update and Info~

I thought I would do a little FLR update for everyone. Everything is going as scheduled so far. Buds are filling out nicely and starting to really thicken up. I am hoping for at least a partial harvest on or around 4/14.
I am going to apologize for the pics now. I know it is hard to see detail under HPS lighting, but I still need to setup my flours in there for pics.

On to the pics...

This is THC - the bomb or TB1 as I call her
2012-03-21_06-25-21_293.jpg

ReCon or R1 - this is the first time I have grown her and I am not thrilled about the leaf to bud ratio. I really do recommend that you defoilinate her if you grow this strain.

Next up is THC - the bomb or TB3
