Morglie's Perpetual: New Space & New Strains

I looked around a bit and could not figure out what cross it is you are talking about? Z1 and Z2? are those Morglies crosses?

I notice that I have a Zamaldelica that Does not smell or taste like anything in particular. Very neutral and almost boring... Maybe earthy mushrooms... but the high is clean and not strong or overpowering. She might have been an early harvest though...

Cheers,

Yes they are Zamaldelica B Thai pheno x Malawie F1, my plants are labeled Z1 & Z2- 2 different seeds, lucked out and got 2 females. They are on my thread Lazyfish.:Namaste:

Cheers,

I'm smell challenged, too many years & too many VOC's. Z-1 is good and getting better. Z2-have to rub to get smells from it, not much.:Namaste:
The old killer mother is supposed to be kind of 'meh' in the smell department. It stands out for it's potency however.

I may take you up on that next year. I'll get through this rough patch. I hate growing in the winter here, it gets so dry. Sometimes I just don't feel like doing anything in there. I go through these lulls but it shall pass. I have full tents and a full next round of veg plants. Maybe I'll plan a break next winter. I have to keep that Cannatonic, A5 and Bubba Hash. Everything else can be found again. Even the bubba could probably be found again I just don't want to look and that one is perfect for me and the missus. I do want to run the A5 x Panama before I break too.
I am sure there could be a home for that Bubba Hash easily found!

I've got a Crockett Dawg x Tangie that's getting cut this coming weekend. I've already taken samples from her. Nice disorienting hybrid buzz, with the flavor of a greasy indica. I cloned it, but didn't save a copy of the clone when I threw it into flower as well. I figured I'll just pop another seed.

Well, I've been thinking it would make a good candidate to pollinate with a nice Purple Dawg or Panama male, which are both in the works, so I dug them out to find I only have 5 more seeds. I'm going to have to run these and make F2s. I suppose I could make the F1 cross again as well. I have more of those seeds. Probably the F2s as I'm not very fond of Crockett Dawg by itself. Then again I only ran one female.... There may be hidden gems in there.

Of which?

You mean the PM x UD? Do you have both parents?
No, I have a decent cache of Purple Dawg seeds.

I've got another cross going in flower right now. I pollinated a stinky indica with Tangie and I'm finding the cross to be quite nice. It's by far the stinkiest plant I've grown. Nice yielder as well, with a potent buzz. I'm thinking it might be nice to use for a few crosses. I guess when I pollinated, it was very minimal. I only got 6 seeds. I'll have to make more seeds, either through making F2s or finding new parentals to make the cross again.

What was it that conradino said about some recessive traits going on in the PM x UDs? Seems like a mother worth keeping.
When you get to the F2 generation, you'll see weird recessive traits pop up that weren't there in the F1 generation.

I'm not planning on cutting her soon. I have a cutting of her that's going into a 5 gallon for a long veg this weekend when space opens up. She's got a couple months in there before she's ready for flower. I very well may change my mind in the meantime.

I'm cutting a few plants this morning. The Crockett Dawg x Tangie is ready. It's a greasy, stinky mess. I've already tested it and it's good stuff. Crockett Dawg by itself has a 1 dimensional buzz, but crossed with Tangie I feel like I'm floating. It's got a nice and thick indica smell and taste, but the buzz is more balanced. It's debilitating in the sense that I'll find myself standing there and staring off into space with no idea what I was going to do.

Early Bubba Hash is ready as well and put on some nice colors for the party.

I'm going to have to cut my Kerala as well. She's throwing nanners all over and they have pollen in them as well. I cut a branch earlier in the week for testing and it's that branch where I first saw them. I smoked a bowl last night to see if it's worth the time spent trimming the plant. After 3-4 hits it kicked in pretty hard and this was after smoking all evening long. It's got a serious punch already. Unfortunately it lasted about 20 minutes before I could feel the buzz deflating. I'm thinking about cobbing it for ingestion as the buzz should last longer that way. It's definitely worth trying again. I had some stress recently in flower with the weather change that I think caused the issue.

And a couple other pics of plants coming along in flower.

Time to scrub the wash buckets...

Peace

Well this is a proper landrace, which has been cultivated in humid & hot jungles of southern India, so it has very specific needs and coming from 10N you really have to run it at 11/13 to make sure you don't get hermies.

I used to run 11/13, but I bumped my time up to 11.5/12.5 around the time she went into flower. I've noticed a bit more growth and bulking on the my plants since they change. I'll have to swap back when I run her again.

I think the main issue was the serious swings in RH and temp recently when the weather changed. The RH was swinging from 30-90 depending on the time of day. The A/C unit I have wasn't removing the humidity because it wasn't getting hot enough to kick in. I ended up putting a dehumy in my flower room and once I got it dialed in, it's been good since. It did hit 100F while I was tweaking the settings, but I don't think that caused issues with her. Temps are 72-77F and the RH is 36-60 now. The RH is dipping lower than I'd like, but it's way better than getting into the 80s like it was. I was afraid I was going to get PM.

Kerala sounds nice! Maybe next time you wont have problems with RH and stuff. I'll bet the high is a lot of fun. Sounds just right for cobbing.... Isn't lower RH better in late flower? Maybe not 30, but...

Hey @conradino23 do you mean 11 hours on and 13 off? Why is that better for sativas?
Yes, lower is better in late flower to keep from getting PM but around 50 is ideal.

11 on and 13 off is ideal for sativas because they naturally grow where there isn't that much fluctuation in hours of daylight. It helps trigger them to finish.

Sweet! She's frosting up nicely.

I cut my Kerala because it hermied. I'm seeing seeds in my Malawi x PCK and a few in a Purple Dawg I'm running as well. Those have to be from the Kerala. They'll have hermie traits, but all landraces start out that way. Those could be some interesting seeds. That Kerala shows promise. I have a feeling it would have had a soaring sativa high if I could have gotten it to the finish line.

Thanks for posting that pic here.

I snapped a few shots today and realized while uploading them, that I'd never uploaded the ones I took last weekend. So without further ado...

The Kerala holds potential for me. I need to pop another one soon. The buds filled a gallon bucket most of the way up. I really need to do a run of bubble hash. I have almost two gallons of popcorn buds and trim to run. You know that smell when you crack open a freshly picked sweet pea? That's what permeates from this bud.

Panama F2s. I'm hoping to find a nice male and female out of these to play with.

Sinai x Ultra Dawg. Not a cross I meant to make. I just wasn't as careful with isolating a male as I should have been. I thought I'd check it out as a counterpoint to Purple Dawg. The Sinai looked more sativas like, but the buzz hits like an indica. It's got a nice exotic spice flavor to it as well.

Carnival x Purple Dawg. These haven't been all that impressive. In fact, two of the three pollinated next to Sinai x Ultra Dawg plants, as I had given them up as a lost cause and planted new seeds in the pots. They are actually the oldest of these three groups.

Purple Dawg BX 1.1 This is a very vigorous male that I'm going to use to make several outcrosses with just to see what I get. I'm planning on pollinating Tangie, Blueberry, and Kushberry TF.

Speaking of Kushberry, we've got roots on the one getting pollinated.

Crockett Dawg x Tangie

And now onto today's pics.

Zamedelica. I bent the top over hard enough the last of several times that I thought I had broken the top off. Nope. She turned back up. She put out a bit more side growth in the process though.

Purple Dawg 6.1 This is the cut that I used to make F2s.

Tangie The clone is not far behind her mother in flower. I'm running a side by side to compare a few things.

And that's all for the show for tonight.

Peace
