Morglie's Perpetual: New Space & New Strains

Looking great over here Morglie! I like that blueberry muffin description, I’d enjoy that scent in my garden.
It's got a great scent in flower. It changes around harvest to have a mentholated effect in the nose on exhale that dominates the flavor and smell. Still nice, but the blueberry muffin smell gets buried in the mix.

I busted out the Zam x Pan last night. It's been curing for a couple of months now. It has a sweet floral taste, I want to say it's linalool but I could be off on that. And I have to say, it's got a serious punch built up in that cure. I didn't quite get stuck on stupid, but I only had 4 hits that I rode for a couple of hours before it started to fade. Very nice floaty, goofy buzz.

I just wish I would have gotten more than an ounce from her I'm going to have to plant another one soon. I have a Kerala in the dirt and discovered another sativa cross I want to pop next to check out. Then it'll be on to a Zam x Pan.

That other cross I made a couple of years ago that I had forgotten about uses my purple Malawi as the mother. I pollinated it with a nice squat uniform Zam x Pan male. There should be some nice soaring sativas in those beans.

If he is looking for Blueberry muffin smells, try the Stankberry. She was pure blueberry muffin for the first 6 months. Its weird though, her smells are shifting after 6+ months. Its still got lots of blueberry smells, but I swear I am picking up hints of anise in there when I grind it up. Oh and the Stankberry has some potency to her as well. The pheno I had tested, showed up at 20.6% THC.

Nice report! I wish I had more time to experiment with crosses. Some day...
It takes space and then when you start making crosses the number you have running starts multiplying...

It's fun but it can get a bit overwhelming at times.

Awesome! After I flowered out the blueberry and found how that smells I'm wanting to look for more. The stankberry is in the queue.

I'm excited. I've been thinking it was Zamedelica x Malawi. I took a closer look at my notes and realized what it was. I think I'm going to pop one to go alongside the Kerala. After that I'm making F2s of Crockett Dawg x Tangie. That cross had turned out spectacular, but I only have 5 more seeds. Then it should be onto the Stankberries.

So many seeds, so little time.....

The stankberry is on my short list too. It's been in the cue for a while and it's just time to run it. I'm running 1 Blueberry from Dutch Passion, I've been searching for that Blueberry keeper basically since I started growing. I ran my only auto and it was Dutch Passion Blueberry auto, that thing got me hooked. Tasty tasty but it was an auto :(. I've run DJ's Blueberry and all 3 were blah. They smell great in flower but lose the taste and smell as it cures and the potency was just not there. Your Malawi x PCK description of blueberry muffin made me pop that one and she's close to flipping now but I doubt I'll get that smell, I don't think that is what you normally get from that strain. There's something very addictive about that blueberry smell.

I notice that “shift” in some of my stored buds too. Sometimes good, sometimes not.

My Seedsman blueberry developed a great scent at harvest and it's only getting better in the jar. There plant was wimpy though, do in looking for a replacement. The blueberry cut I have is getting hit with pollen from my Purple Dawg back cross though, along with the stankberry, Tangie and Malawi x PCK. I may get a nice cross in there. This male is just to vigorous not to try a cross with him.

The green pheno is supposed to have a Carmel flavor? That's actually what sold me on trying it.

My Panama and Zam x Pan have developed great smells about 2 months into cure but those are pure sativas that take a while to develope the aromas. Astringent lime for the Panama and this lovely floral for the Zam x Pan. I think it's linalool, but I could be seeing in that. It kicks my ass as well now.....

I It's always fun to pop open a hat after a month or two and see what they have become.

You're Tangie looks great bro, and your description of Zam x Pan sounds so amazing!
Thank you! I made that cross back when I was learning to grow and wanted more seeds to play with. I'm glad I ended up with way more than I intended. It's turned out to be a great cross, and Sue has helped spread those seeds around for others to experience as well.

There's a cross listed as Malawi A x Zapa that I sent her as well. I'm not certain if you got any of those, but if you did, they are my purple mother pollinated by a nice squat male of Zam x Pan. I just rediscovered them the other day and have one soaking to see how they turn out.
What up Morglie! Looking great dude! Never tried a tangie. What is the genetics?
Thanks! Tangie is a cross by Crockett family farms. It's California Orange crossed with a skunk hybrid. California Orange has been around since the 90s but it's skunk at it's core. So skunk x skunk. There was a lot of pheno hunting done to get there. The smell is pure citrus zest with a bit of a cut grass smell in it. Doc ran it for a while which is where I noticed it. He described it as very energizing and great for multitasking, so I picked it up in my last purchase because I was focusing on strains for productivity.

I'll have to see how it does. I've tried a couple of samplers and it seemed promising.

It took me 4 tries to get a girl. I used one of the males to make some crosses. It's phenomenal crossed with Crockett Dawg (a guava scented, dark and funky indica by the same breeder) I've got some beans where I used the same male to pollinate my purple Malawi mother as well. I haven't tried those yet, but they should be pretty interesting as well. Tangie is a scenty, frosty thing.

Speaking of crosses with my purple mother, there were two volunteers that I flowered out recently thinking they were Purple Dawgs because of the traits from the mother I was seeing. The last two I finished are the ones I'm talking about. Dark purple covered in foxtails and the chem one that didn't start showing purple until the day I harvested.

The foxtailed one doesn't have as much kick as the others and the flavor has a lot more spice in it. I'm thinking it may be a Carnival x Purple Dawg. I had tried popping those and the Purple Malawi x Apollo 13 prior to the Purple Dawgs but nothing came up and I gave up on them. They would have taken about a month to come up at the time which is why I dismissed the idea.

I've currently got the Apollo 13 cross going at the moment though, and one of those is smelling spot on to the chem one and the buds are even growing the same way. Skinny buds that are filling in instead of starting out squat and building taller like the other Purple Dawgs do.

I was smoking on some with the wife last night. She's got the pallet out of the two of us. Prominent fuel smell with Concord grape gummies is what she described it as. It's currently my favorite smoke. The buzz feels very 'clear' to me. Not muddied in the least.

I'm glad I found it again while exploring the P13 cross. I'm going to pollinate that one and another that smells similar, but with a sourness to it, to make F2s.

I snapped some flash pictures right before lights on this morning while I was brixing the girls.

Wow brother absolutely stunning, their all equally beautiful. I couldn't pick a favorite if I had to, but that Malawi x PCK would be my pick based on looks.
:drool::adore::bravo::drool:
Thank you. I love the way the buds grow on her. They get these long center spikes encircled by a base of foxtails.
