Morglie's Perpetual: New Space & New Strains

The UD x PM sounds good Morglie. I just got my 1st real chance to try my UD yesterday. This one was grown properly, the last one was in some bad soil and it still came out good enough for me to want to do her right. My patient stopped by yesterday and before he left I broke out the UD. Mine has a chemical/piney taste to it and hits like a Mack truck! I didn't expect to get as high as I did. He was planning on leaving then we smoked and he sat back down and said I won't be driving on that right away. He stayed another 2 hours before he felt like driving and this dude drives high all the time. It wasn't unpleasant being that high I just didn't expect it. I couldn't feel my legs for like an hour and a half. I had to ditch the clone though she was throwing fertile naners at the end. I bet Malawi added to that would be pretty devastating.
Nice! If I remember correctly the pine/chem taste is the boom pheno which is supposed to be the most potent.

I've not had a chance to try UD itself yet. I'm 3 for 3 on males so far, but the cross is a step up in potency over the Malawi, not that my Malawi is weak, this cross is just rocket fuel.

Pine/chemical with pleasant, balanced high is definitely Chem :) Boom is another thing, sour/chemical in taste and very spacey... quite devastating to be honest. Hmm yeah it sounds like you've done well by getting rid of this clone. Good news is that Chem is one of the dominant genotypes, so any time you pop 5-10 seeds you should find it... hmm I don't know why it hermed to be honest, but it happened to Tead and me in the past, so it's not a complete surprise. However it's usually OG side of this strain, that throws nanners, which is why I don't trust these expressions so much.

I need to get the UD pheno descriptions down somewhere. You've listed them plenty of times, I just can't ever seem to find them again.

I summed them up at the beginning of the UD breeding thread but Con does a better job in his past journals... you just have to hunt for it.
I know. I just don't have the patience for hunting through threads most of the time. I'll take a look at the begining of this thread. I've been looking for similar phenos in the Purple Dawgs, but I keep mixing them up in my head. To much smoking of the good stuff....:smokin2:

 I wasn't going to say anything! Goodtimes!

I struggle toi spot these UD phenos. Or taste them. I definitly get lemon in some of the but the chem smell/taste eludes me.
I can pick out the chem because it clogs my nose up. That's the tell-tale for me. I go to my wife for descriptions. She's the one that can pick out the nuances in smell and flavor.

Well it's good to have a wife with trained nose

So I think I have learned that bigger clones root quicker. I had the other 2 Purple Dog females root in 6 days!
Nice! I think mine took 9 days. The bigger clones seem to take off much quicker once they get into dirt as well. I like taking the top and rooting it. You get to see some of the structure of the plant. I have two pairs in flower right now that are the bottom and top of the plant. You could stack them on top of each other and see what the plants would look like untopped.

Yes that might be full blown intersex individual.

Yo!
Check it out! So I have been looking closely at the PM x UD males and one of them has female flowers on it! Is this still considered hermaphroditic and should be kept out of the gene pool?
Yes, typically you would want to do that.

Thank you Con for fielding that for me.

It is also after I removed it from the main flowering room. Under strange light timing and then he went outside in the cold to be farther away from the females. I didn't think males could be stressed to become hermaphroditic.
Stress will flip them either way. The males I've used, typically get abused to see how they handle it. The more vigor the better in my mind.
Hiya Morglie.

You’ve really got it going on with the breeding projects. Excellent stuff. I like the choices you make.
Especially got my attention with the idea of that Panama crossed with Blueberry :D:thumb: That sounds nice!

Hope all else is well :Namaste:
Hey Amy!
That jar of blueberry smells heavenly. I can't wait until it gets a couple of months of cure on it.
:yummy:

I've been thinking Panama may make a great male donar. An astringent lime zest over that blueberry aroma should be quite tasty, and it should fatten up the buds and increase the resin as well.

I'm also thinking I may find a nice Purple Dawg male that I want to pollinate a cutting of this Blueberry with as well. Adding that blueberry flavor to the sweet chocolate, berry, and spiced cedar of Purple Dawg sounds enticing. It'll push the cross towards the indica side of things though. Maybe I need the Panama mixed in as well. We'll have to see how that cross works out.

So do you think it is still worth tossing, even though I stressed it enough to switch sex? Bummer, I was looking forward to some pollen.
Is that the only male you have? I personally would skip it. I still have a selection of F1s, along with about 500 F2s that I just harvested if you're worried about a lack of seeds.
