Mono's 600 Watt HPS Soil Grow 2013

I don't care for those, they hold too much moisture IMHO, and if you have higher Rh at your location....well......I bet they succomed to damping off. The humidome is good, you're growin in soil, root em in soil.......happy frog soil/25%perlite.......use good fundamental cloning techniques and .........BAM!....100% success. If you need to know more just ask.......I've done em several ways, all pretty successful! The BEST way IMHO, is an aerocloner, I just showed how to make one on my journal.....the cuts never even wilt at all!

I think i will try with an aerocloner, seems like an interesting experiment. Is it okay to use an aerocloner if growing in soil?

So, it's now day 14 of 12/12. Bud structure seems about right for the time, small popcorn atm, starting to get a little frosty. Plants are growing well, stretch appears to have stopped which is good and there appears to be no deficiencies.

The PK 13/14 seems to be working well along side the canna terra flores, don't think I need any other bloom boosters. I will upload some more recent pics later along with some close up bud shots.

Also got a few pictures of the two newest additions, and of the surviving clones who have now managed to root out their 6 liter pots so one more vegetative feed for them then it's into the big tent to begin flowering :D

Cheers, Mono

Super Iced Grapefruits were planted up this afternoon. I was going to put them straight into their final 10 liter pots, although it turns out the wife has got some new 4 liter deep pots for carrots, so thought I would use a couple of them, then plant them into their final pots a few weeks before flowering.

Not sure if it will have a beneficial effect, we shall see.

ive used soil with nutes in it before, the cuttings will be as mature as the plants they came off and will be requiring nutes anyhow

Nice! I might try rooting them in soil before going all out and making an aerocloner. Just don't have the time at the moment with work and all, but still intend to make an aerocloner as a long term set up.

ive done it in bio bizz and plagron al mix and had no probs, the plants will use up stored energy from leaves to develop roots and will be hungry for food once they have got a good root system, im currently trying to root cuttings usin a bubble method like dwc to see how it works

And I myself am excited a heck to see how that thing works!

It's now day 15 of 12/12 out of at least 56 days. So still very much in the early stages.

Is there anything i should be looking at doing to improve overall yield and bud quality?

You're just cruisin now bro, looking very closely at the growth and development, noticing anything different, or unusual. You know everything about those plants by now, and if they get uncomfortable you'll know it, at this point you are totally proactive, anticipating and solving issues before they happen, NOTHING TO SLOW THEM DOWN!

Ahh good stuff. I will be keeping a very close eye on them. Good thing I have the clones and seedlings to keep me busy during the long waiting game :)

The plant the clones came from seems to have responded very well to being pruned, defoliated and tied down. A really kinky plant :). So I decided to go down the same route with the clones.

They are looking a little sorry for themselves, however I am confident they will bounce back. I was planning on flicking them into flowering next week, (day keeps changing) but not too sure if I will allow them to grow a little bigger and try and clone from the strongest of the two before flowering.

So many choices... Any ideas?

Pics of the clones will be coming up soon.

Mono, :)
