Mono Grows a Pound

Glad i could help mono..:high-five:

On the flooring question... If you got enough boards i would go with that depth to make things simpler... Do they come any thinner at all ??... Just thought it would be best to do full enclosure... As you say, it gets cold in the winter...

Sounds like its gonna be an properly sorted space, when done. All solid and ready to hang ya lamps n stuff...

Only worry id have is the plaster boards getting damp into em...

Anyways matey, thanks for the reps.

Ya garden is growing rapidly... Amazing how quick they change

:Namaste:

:)

I'm not totally sure on thickness of the boards tbh, think 100mm may be a standard depth. I will look into it a little more. Oh, certainly, hopefully when its all up and running there will be nothing more to do, other than a little tinkering now and again.

Hmm, had never thought of damp getting into the plaster boards, always thought good ventilation would keep that in check. But damp grows mould and mould ruins crops.

A little more thinking on that part too. Maybe an outdoor weatherseal paint over them to protect. I wonder.

Loads of activity on ya girlies mate... Really rapid to set up flowering... Awesome..

My thoughts exactly, on the damp.... Maybe a damp proof membrane would stop it... If the shed is slightly off the floor, air movement will underneath would help... And so any rain can run away, not soak in to the wood..

Im sure you will get it all sorted... I was thinking of stuff to seal plasterboard with..

The heat from your lights should keep it nice n dry inside...

:peace:

If you can stand a noob question, Mono, what's the deal with cutting the fan leaves? I've noticed it seems like you start chopping the leaves right across pretty early in their lives, and I haven't seen it addressed so far in the thread. Great looking grow, by the way.

Hey :)

I have never really thought about why, seems to just happen for many reasons. I think in this grow I have had higher temperatures which was causing the leaves to curl upwards. Cutting down the area for moisture loss, seemed to make them go back to normal. I also do it to any clones taken to reduce the area they can loose water. Sometimes to let light get to a certain part of the plant. Others just to tidy it up :)

I will raise it up a couple of inches, also need some form of hole in the floor for some intake fan, hope to run the shed as a sealed unit with intake and exhaust. It's quite exciting all this planning and preparation lol

Hope all is well with you buddy, :Namaste:

This morning, we still have snow. So work is a no go lol.

I plan on having a good session with the plants today, but first, some news.

One of the autos had been decidedly droopy for the past couple of days. No idea why, not over or under watered. Pulled her out of the tent for a closer inspection and here is what I found...

Quite happy now that she was droopy or I would never have thought to give her a check. (Still referring to it as her lol) Well, she can go to be made into butter and finally a nice cake :)

Plus a little more space in the tent for the remainders,

Two free seeds from Herbies have gone into water to soak. Regular 'afghani'.

Hopefully we will see one female from the pair, 50/50 is good odds. Right? Lol

They will be going 12/12 from seed.

The other beans arrived this morning. 5 feminised Akorn, from TH seeds, along with three freebies from herbies. Two more regular 'afghani' and another feminised white widow from Dinafem.

Speaking of dianafems ww, I transplanted the one currently growing from a 4 litre deep pot, to a 10 litre deep pot. Hopefully the transplant will help her produce. After all, the bigger the root, the bigger the fruit...
