Mono Grows a Pound

Thank you :)

Ooh. Will be amazing to see what you can do with an entire room to work with! I must say, I have also found it to be a very resilient strain, responded very well to FIM, but not so vigorous for low stress training.

The particular pheno of mine seems to be a very compact, indica dominant girl. She seems to keep a 'tight bush' with deep lateral branching, but very little stretching lending her poorly for bending and training. FIM seems to support and compliment her structure very well, potentially producing a high yielding plant without the required input of Lst.

Have you had the same finds?
ive had more sativa dominant in all aspects, and she smells like fresh ground pepper when Im working with her.
Actually even with my addition of silica, my CSSH has responded quite nicely to LST, bear in mind I just started with it, but she bends, and twists for me gladly.
She beat my pineapple chunk out of the bucket by more than a week, with VERY tight node spacing. So now, even after i took 4 branches off for clones, and did some defol, she still needed LST to allow light to get to her other tops. Ive had to to top, then fim her a few times in order to slow her down enough to keep pace with pineapple chunk.

Hey Jinn, she sounds like a real keeper the phenos you have there. Sounds like you got a much better all rounder, with some really vigorous streak.

It's amazing how different seeds from the same strain and breeder can be :)

That's true. My grow is in garage, and she actually has never once been in there. The plants make her sneezy when they go into flower. But with the way I smoke it's good she don't. I burn through my supply so fast it's stupid, so two would be bad.

That is why im hoping that my first attempt at cloning is successful =p
But yeah the differences in phenos is crazy, thats why when you're breeding you normally grow out as many as you have room for, so you can find exactly what you're looking for.

I'd love to have a garage to use for a grow. They make her sneezy? It's funny you say that about how long your weed lasts. I'm sort of opposite, I find Mrs Mono makes the weed go so much further with baking edibles and insisting we use the vape :)

I think your first attempt is going to go perfectly. I really hope you find the genetics you are after buddy!

I'd love to have enough strains to grow out 15+ plants of all my favourite strains! Would be a dream come true.

A couple more oldies :)

very cool - just started my own perpetual grow :) Nice set up :)

So, there has been two long nights for the plants now, they are beginning to show some slight signs of changes. A few branches here and there starting to stretch above the rest.

I will get in today and tie them down some more to keep the even canopy, but in a bit of a catch 22. The autos are doing fantastically, but taking up some considerable floor space in the tent. Limiting me to how much I can stretch out the photo plants. And once the autos are gone, want to see the photoperiod plants filling up the tent nicely. Hmm, work to do lol.

On a good note, still no signs of any sinister male parts on the sleestack skunk. A few more days of crossed fingers and we should be able to confirm a female :)

Hiya mono...

On your behalf ive had a good old natter with a " builder "...

Your idea for using those insulating boards is spot on.. In fact he has built a grow room out of that stuff... He reckons it works a treat... The guy whos room he built was well happy apparently..

Also, if you use the standard loft stuff to lag the walls of shed first, then bang the boards up.. It will be even better..

As it outside, it will be best to do the floor too... As you will get cold coming thru.. Just like kipping in a tent, you need more under you, than over you.... Maybe some off cut " Cant rails", from fencing jobs.. Screw them down to the floor..insulate the Voids created then board out da floor...

He cant gaurantee its gonna be invisible to thermal cameras, but it will be a hell of a lot better once done..

Hope that helps ya out, my friend..

:high-five:

That is a massive help buddy! Its good to know I was on the right track with the insulation boards, really want to get this all done right as I plan on finishing the whole inside with plaster boards for a nice tidy finish.

They might help with a bit more insulation. Now, I had never thought of insulating the floor... Now, would it be wise to put as much insulation on the floor as on the roof?

Thanks again matey, +reps

I have been thinking on the positioning of the shed and will try and fit it snug under a tree, might help hide it a little bit, but probably not from any heat cameras. I suppose a bit of protection from wind and snow will be a bonus :)
