Momma's Kitchen Serving: My Bloody Valentines

How are you doing the slurry test? Color strips are not the best way but will do in a pinch. Typically MC will cause the pH to rise in Promix.
How much is she being fed?
Fed 22.5g MC/5gal

I don't have a pen but I have strips & drops
When I first put the drops in it went orange red. NEVER does that. Through the fibre I could tell it was still red. ish. ...

First thing I would do is rinse her out real good with 8L of water. Then do another slurry test and let it sit for a while. Then come back with 4.5g/4L of MC after the slurry test.

SLURRY SOIL PH TEST

The slurry test is the most accurate test you can do without actually buying a specialized pH meter for measuring soil pH, your standard pH meter will do fine. Don’t forget to calibrate your meter first, and to clean it properly afterwards. This is what you’ll need for the test:

– Distilled water
– Soil samples
– Standard pH meter
– Containers for holding soil samples
– Kitchen scale

And this is how it works:

1. Start by taking soil samples at various points in your garden. You should take the soil samples from the same depth every time. Measuring the samples separately will always give you a clearer view of the pH at different points in your garden. But, if you have a very small garden you could also mix your soil samples together in equal parts.

2. Add 1-1,5ml of distilled water for every gram of soil. So, if you have 50 grams of soil, add 50-75ml of distilled water.

3. Stir for a few seconds and then let it sit for at least an hour.

4. Stir again and stick in your pH meter. The value you read will not be 100% accurate, but it will give you a clear indication of where your pH is at.
I did mine every similar. Well water. Let stand 1 he after each stir (done twice) I skim/strain the fibre and get my reading.

Wont so much fluid drown her. Sounds stupid but that's so much fluid?

BIGGER CHALLENGES AHEAD

Can I say blackout!
Yup! My happy winter Solstice turned in a snowstorm, caused a 18 hours blackout. I put big flashlights/ lanterns in there.

Ship I flip to 12/12?

This grow is kicking my ass:confused:

I seen BC had big power failure , cause of the big wind. Was wondering if it affected you.
Hope things pull through for. sending good karma your way

About 60% of plants are affected.
It was not cold in the room when the power came back on. Cool. The plants looked awake when the lights came on. Maybe the flash lights worked?

I'll do what @Mr. Sauga said pour water the raise the PH.
I doubt it's the citric acid if it's only on one plant, and I spray and put them in the sun without burning. As long as it's just a 1% solution that is.

Are these leaves the same ones as the top pic here? I mentioned those looked pretty funky back then and wonder if it goes back to last week.

You don't have a pH pen?
No that was where the mold was, when sprayed it went patchy

Aha, what I said was mc typically raises the pH. I did not say raise it as I'm not sure your slurry test was that accurate and it may already be high. I just wanted to clarify.

It really should be distilled water as it,s pretty close to neutral. What is the pH of the well water?
Yes it's a lot of water
You need to run about 75% of the pot size. You have 3gal pots, 4l to a gallon, so about 8l of water. Flip is up to you but when a plant is distressed there's no point in flipping imo.

Okay well honestly I feel like I'm friggining loosing mind.

I'll get distilled water.

I'll do the test over again. I'll post the number in the morning. Today they are all charged up and praying to the light. They look amazing minus this little gap in the middle of the plant that is affected, at least showing me it's affected the rest of the plant looks awesome.I'm slated to feed tomorrow so I'll get all of this done before so I guess I have to PH up I will.

Remember...

don’t try too many things at once. You’ll leave you’re self wondering what caused what...

id say keep doing what you’re doing... you said it you’re self, only a few plants are doing this.

I’m thinking it might be a nitrogen def. the way you described the leaves just drop by the smallest movements/touch.

How are you doing Momma? I'm sure you're frustrated, but it really is important to use the correct method. So, any news on the results? Until you know what is going on you'll need to stick to the basics, so I'd hold off on any foliar sprays for now.

Were you able to give the plant a good rinsing yet?

I like to have what I call an emergency plant kit(EPK) on hand. Simple things like tape for fixing broken branches, yellow stickies for pests, neem oil for mites(veg only), a pH pen and distilled water for soil testing, a lux meter for measuring the light intensity, etc. It's readily available and has proven to be my best friend occasionally in the past.
With a grow the size and quality of yours it would be a great idea to have something like that on hand for you too. Problems can escalate fast.

OK, so I made the EPK kit name up. These are tools grower's should have on hand as those are the more common things you will need when problems arise. The problem you are having is odd because there was never an issue before. It comes down to something outside of the nutrients imo.

I hope you're having a better day today.

Hi Mr. S

Honestly I feel like killing the whole room. Between mildew and now this? Just waiting for bugs to come and I'll have nails in the coffin so to speak.
