Mmmmick 288W LED Development SCROG White Widow

Hey sisco, sappenin?
STill waiting on these girls to ripen. I'm not much when it comes to estimating timeframes apparently, so I'll just respond when they're ready. Good to see you in the hood.:tokin:

Took two of the widows down Sunday

The runt WW, which I included specifically because it was the runt(different pheno) was only 81g wet after trimming. I'm hoping it's more potent than the larger pheno. This one was in the left front corner of the screen and the mylar was pulled back to aid in airflow throughout the flower cycle this summer. The reduction in illumination had an obvious effect on plant developement. Trying to cover a square meter might be pushing the limits of this led. With mylar in close proximity the plants seem to be getting enough light but this plant slowed considerably once the mylar was pulled back and never really got started again.

The second WW was 140g wet after trimming. I guess I might get 2 oz's out of the pair once they dry. The remaining widow should be the biggest (lol) yield of the three if it gets to finish. Not much weight but that wasn't what this grow was about anyway. Smell is great and they're quite sticky so the smoke may be worthwhile even if there's not a lot of it.

I'm planning to reveg these 2 widows because their clones died in the heat this summer and I have only the clone from the last widow#8. There wasn't any extra branching to clone because I had cleaned up most of the undergrowth by the time the first set of clones got baked. The 2 Y2k clones that I hoped would fill a couple of spots became one and it's not big enough to clone yet so I can see more delays getting the next round started. See what developes. I may stop for a while after this grow completes, until I get things sorted out. I've been carrying too many plants for my consumption needs and taking unnecessary risk in doing so. not worth it.

Couple of pics. I need to set up a background with a little less contrast, these pics kinda suck.

Hey sisco, thanks man. Smells great, I'll work on quantity next time. They finished to where I wanted them so it's the best I've managed so far.:thumb: Can't wait for them to come out of the dryer.

Hi J6, thanks. Hope the potency is there, smells like it ought to be. They've had almost a 3 week flush so should be smooth. Thanks for having a look.

Looking good man, you got some nice smoke for your pipe :)

hi mate........great news you have bud drying........cant wait for the smoke report........3 week flush .......shud make em real smooth..........those ww certainly look like my white russians did.......so im wondering if you will get a heady high or a body stone........mine where very heady high........but after a 6 month cure turned to real heady high and heavy body stone....( i didn t really cure em that long on purpose i actually forgot id split the harvest into 2 different places hehe)........well done mate great to see your results with the leds......still astonishers me wot you get from these lights..........be lucky weedtastic :goodjob:

Congratulations Mmmmick :thumb:

You actually finished two. Now the doors wide open for you....for more! :cheer: That didn't sound very nice...but you know what I mean! :yummy:

Gonna take a break? I can sure relate to that. I may do the same....for two weeks anyway. :Rasta:

The reveg sounds like a good plan!

Congrats again my Friend! :blunt:

Hello Mmmmick, looks like you got some nice buds. Looking pretty dense. Very nice job as always. Sorry about the clones and looking forward to seeing how the reveg works out for you.... Again very nice job as always...

High Mick... I'm not so sure how I got so far behind on your journal... shoulda paid for the subscription :). But it looks like I got caught up in time for the good stuff!

It also looks like you got some nice tight buds out of that screen :thumb:

I've been thinking, too, that I should have put one more plant under my screen. It did end up more like an lst grow than some of the nicer scrogs I've seen. I've got some branches that had to do some traveling to find a hole.

:goodjob:

hi weedtastic, yeah it's been a while since I had bud to hang.:cheer: I haven't tried any of the WW yet, still a little too wet. I stopped the nutes a little early, thought the trichs would change faster than they did, but I like a good flush anyway, even if most of what I give them is organic. I'm trying to let the last WW and all 3 Mangos go longer so I can compare. Still have one extra Mango sitting in the corner as well and I'm letting that one go longer still.
heheh, too much stash on hand if you forget where you stored it. But you mentioned that you like to have the choice at times so it must be nice to be able to pick your buzz.:thumb:

My led grows are improving but I've got a lot of changes to make next round. I'm not convinced that I'm even close to maxing out. So far I'm pleased with what these girls are producing given all the crap I put them through. I'm hoping the small widow is more potent as I've heard it said the small phenos tend to be. Revegging that one, actually revegging both WW's until I'm sure the clones are good. One of them seems fine and the second has roots but hasn't really started regrowth of any sort so they'll probably both be good. They were the second set taken well into flowering so it'll be slow.

Thanks weedtastic, I have no complaints re the lighting, just the grower needs a few tweaks, lol.

Hi Omm, thank you my friend.

Yeah I know exactly what you mean.
Even though my previous grows were chopped early they still smoked great but these plants got to finsh so I can get a real handle on what they've got going for them.

I doubt I'll be out of action for long, just need a little time to get things setup for next round. Damn heat took my clones this summer or I'd have a set of veggers ready to under 12/12 now. I'll get things running a little more consistently eventually. Gotta drop the plant numbers though.
Thanks again OMM I always appreciate your comments.:thumb:

Hi sonzor. Thank you my friend, the buds aren't super dense but not bad considering the heat they lived in for half their flower cycle. I'm a little concerned about 3 of the 4 remaining plants though. They look as if they might be getting close but they're pretty airy. I can live with that, I'm my only customer and I don't need the bag appeal aspect so much.
I'm working around the clone issue, should'nt be too big an issue now that the heat is normal. I hope I've left enough bud on the two I'm revegging. I only really want to reveg the WW#2 as I have one clone each of the other two widows but I'll keep them under 24 hour lighting until I'm sure of the clones.
Always good to have you drop in and I appreciate your comments.

High Horse, yep great timing. The first 2 Widows should come out of the drier by Friday at the latest. No idea when the rest will finish but I'll be here for them when they're done.

No reason why the screen has to be full. It takes a couple of grows to get a handle on the strains you're growing anyway and scrogging has a few tweaks that are important and will come with a little experience under the screen. I think your scrog is coming along great and i'm sure you'll have it nailed next time around.

Thanks bro.:)

So the Doggies Nuts saga finally comes to an end. Attitude managed to get a package delivered this time, without anyone opening it at the border. I've been messing with them since January, Got them talked into sending replacements for the failed DN WW's(which were no longer in stock). They sent DN Blueberry as the closest in price to what I'd originally ordered. No matter, they got seized. The insured delivery is a good thing to buy. This time they got through and had extra but different freebies. Two of them were crushed, Dinafem Blue Widow and Dinafem Roadrunner. But the survivors are a Dinafem Cheese, Critical+ and a Haze Auto.

So thanks to Attitude for finally completing this order. They stood by their guarantee even when the replacements went missing.:hello:

As much as I like scrogging, and the idea of scrogging... I think my space is more suited for something else. Mushrooms.
Naaah, I'm going vertical with the light, and horizontal with the plants for the next one... ala the gator cage. I'm so impressionable :)

Thanks bro.:)

You'll still visit me, won't you? :grinjoint:
