MGD420 Grow Journal: Jan 2022

Its plain tap water i use. I gave a water qaulity report last time, in your own words it lists almost everything except Ca and Mg.
If it helps the water is soft water, pH normally tests around 7.0 - 7.1 before mixing with nutrients
Sorry - getting old - it’s hard to keep all my clients straight lol :laughtwo:

Your water sounds good - carry on..
:passitleft:

This is definitely caused by a magnesium deficiency or something similar and not some sort of fungas like septoria ? I seen some pictures online that looked similar and so just want to double check.

Yep it's mag deff. Hands down Think I said that few days ago. Bro
It's in Second stage now. Need get it under control before it hit the growth leaves fan leaves cns be cut off not hurt plant to much. But then growth leaves it will get in stems and kill whole plant
Grab calMag. Start off little bit for 48 hrs then clean water for ,24 then give another does calMag. Just touch more than first time. So plant want lock up. Going out growth back few weeks .

The plants got calmag along with their feed last night. Will wait and see how things go but yea those fan leaves are done for, probably best to clip them off. Just with seeing a few pics online it made me think the plants possibly had septoria. If its not then it's all good. Hopefully the plants will bounce back soon

Yeah cut them off it take 48 hrs for it to recoop.

you're gonna have issues in dwc staying with it if you stick with that nute line. RO is pretty much a given with AN in anything but pristine water.

curious : where is your ph at ?

it's more than just mag happening here. needing mag on tap doesn't add up.

I have read that about the RO water with AN.
Last time I used them I never really had no issues whatsoever but only started using them around 4 weeks into the grow.

pH of the feed, run off ?

feed. run off means nothing unless you recirculate. if you recirc then you have to chart it out.

you'll live by that whether you acutally know it or not

I've clipped the big leaves that were damaged off off now.

that won't help. i like to leave a few while i control the issue. it helps to see if you turned the corner.

should add if you are using the AN ph perfect line ... it isn't. you still have to ph or face the consequences. that line has fucked many a grower.

Definitely not recirculated, gowing in hempy but with coco/perlite instead of just perlite like I did the first grow you helped with.

It's the pH perfect line im using.
Im sure last time I tried to change the pH of the pH perfect nutrients it just changed the pH back to what it normally would have been before adding the pH up/down.

I do have the canna aqua vega/flores nutrients there, do you think it would be better to switch nutrients ? As long as I'm able to grow the plants with what I have available there wouldn't be a problem using the canna vega/flores as I have plenty of it.

i'm not so hip on the UK nutes. to be honest i'd go with GH over AN. only for stability. i like AN more than GH. but they both work for the dark star now. and AN in general is kinda iffy when running multiple stains. the plants like it on AN better if you cater the menu, i like a one mix for all and let them deal with it nute.

if you are on the ph perfect line you are going to have at least a third of your plants fuck up. some phenos / strains just won't have it. unless you mix only for them alone.

edit : and if you're on tap your gonna have to monitor the base water as well.

more edit : if on the ph shitty line .. make sure to ph when feeding. don't trust it.

I know the canna nutes are good just not clued up on what's better, what's more suited to hempy type grows etc..
I had great results the first time using the AN pH perfect nutrients with tap water thats why I went back to them only this time its just went down hill quick with the plants.
I understand what your saying with different strains etc some like it some not so much, some will react differently to certain nutrients, some need more or less etc.

So base water (tap) is reading 7.7 pH

Feed readings on both pH and ppm's after adding what was suggested by @FelipeBlu

0.5ml/L CalMag - 1.0.0 (CaO 4% - MgO 1%)
2ml/L Micro, Grow, Bloom
0.25g/L Epsom.

pH - 6.1
ec - 1.6
ppm500 - 800.

Just noticed your other edit while writing this. The above was without changing pH with pH up and down. What I have noticed is with the pH perfect, after mixing if I test the pH it seems to fluctuate. It could show a pH of 6.1 then when I test a few mins later, 5.9 then testing 5 mins after that it could show a reading of pH of 6.0
