MC's K2 Special Grow Show

Hi Roorman - You can brew up a little tea with the fertilizer you have that has the fungi in it already and re-apply it that way. Just a couple of tablespoons in a sock or nylon and steep overnight in a gallon of (warm) water mixed with a tablespoon of Molasses. But because it's veg fert. you should only use it once at the beginning of flowering.

Peace
MC

ahh sooo prettty!!!

Oh thank you again for the props everyone! ... She's doing alright, but always room for better. She didn't stretch hardly at all - I measured her today, only 12.5 inches from dirt to tip. :hmmmm:

I don't think that's a normal amount of stretch for this strain.. I'm sure it would grow to giantic porportions outdoors. Some issues that've probably held her back are:

1) Low low low room humidity

2) I let her flower too long in the 1/2 gallon growbag.

3) Room temps are staying too cold - only getting up to 70 degrees with the lights on. The rootball sitting on the cool floor isn't helping any either.

Ahhhh.. winter-time growing.... If it's not one thing, it's another... :smokin:

Peace
MC

Sorry everyone, but this one is my fault. First of all I should've been checking my emails, 'cause several days ago Cees contacted me saying something wasn't right with the plant. Too much leaf twisting was going on... Cees suspected over-fertilization.

He asked me to scoop up some of the soil and mix it with some PH 7.0 water, let it sit for a few hours and then stick the meter in and test it to find out the PH and how much fertilizer was in the soil. If I emailed him the results he would go through them and tell me what was wrong.

But, while this incredibly helpful gem of an email sat ignored in my inbox, I went ahead and gave the plant her first big feeding at 1.6 EC. It consisted of most of the liquid fertilizers I had, + a new one I added called Nitrozyme.

Anyway, the very next day I finally got off my lazy a$$ and decided to check my email, and there was the message from Cees. So I went down to setup the test - I scooped some dirt right out of the container the K2 was in. And that's when I saw the hermi flowers...

I did the test anyway, and emailed him the results. He was right - WAAAAAAAAAAAAY overfertilized... Almost twice what it should be.

PH 6.6
PPM 1963
EC 2.62

Let me say that in all of the grow reports I've read about No Mercy Seeds, I've *never* seen anyone say they had hermi's. So I feel confident that the error was on my part.

Cees, I'm very very sorry about this. I'll be starting your Santa Maria F5's in 6-7 weeks when the rest of my plants finish flowering.

THANK YOU, THAT IS ALL....:byebye:

Peace

awww mc that sucks.... too bad about your hermies.... i feel for ya

i feel so sad.

dont feel like a dumbass... it happens to the best... look at it like this, you are one of the best growers on this site, you have helped me so much, and u help so many other people on here, you give great advice. so you got high, got a lil lazy, and now u have a hermie. i was really lookin forward to seeing those k-2 harvest pics in a couple of months but who wasnt?? im sure you will make up for it next time right? lol

Sorry to hear the bad news. It sucks to go through so much hard work and for that to happen. But, you can learn a good lesson and move on.

Looking foward to the next one.

dang, MC.... that's really disappointing... don't worry, your're a tip top grower, and we all know the best experience is learning from mistakes... at least you still have others to finish off... good luck :headbanger:

*homer* DOH!! My basement is plenty cold, too, MC. Get a couple pallets to get the buckets up off of the floor. It's still colder at floor level but you don't have that large thermal mass of the floor sucking heat away from the bucket by direct contact. I know you keep the fans on 24/7 so that'll help warmer air circulate under the buckets. Just one of my little tricks I learned along the way. My basement goes to 60 when lights are off but back to about 78F when lights are on.
