Rhody's Castle Seeds Project

I have the big plants on a flower cycle, so these guys needed to be relocated. I have them under 6500 23 watt cfl light currently. May go t5, but still researching. I may add a clone to these guys tonight just to see if I can do it. As you can see the stems are very thin, hope then settle in and beef up.

do you have a small fan that you could position and gently blow on the plants to strengthen the stems? how many lumens are your 6500 kelvin 23 watt Compact Florescent Lights? you could use more light for your plants now, perhaps you could use some socket Y adapters with multiple Compact Florescent Lights in them.

Hi king,
Yes thanks for advice. Small fan off camera. Y adapter coming today. Ordering a four tube t5 at 10,000 lumens. Them the CFCs 1700 lumens will be for supplement side lighting , added four cloned to the mix this morning. Did some fish emulsion pre soak of the media, split stems, cloning get, domed...blah blah. Hope I did it right.

what are you adjusting your pH to for your nutrient mixture? you want pH 5.8 for hydroponic and soiless (peat moss and coco coir) and pH 6.5 for soil. it may be a nutrient lock out, to test your soil pH i would water with properly adjusted pH water until run off then test the first run off for pH. if it is not proper i would flush with at least twice the volume of pH adjusted water to adjust the pH of your soil mixture.

here is a nutrient availability chart

I'm using adjusted rainwater. It's 80 ppm. Near perfect.
Small amount of fish emulsion last water. I'm of the opinion now that some plants just show random issues that don't effect the rest of the plant, or genetics of the plant it self. I think I may do a heavy water next just to flush out the pots and see where that brings me.
I did use greenfields soil this time like my first grow. I have a local soil provider that has very high praise from the local university, it's worth a shot. Stems are doing much better, thin bottom section is nice and thick now. Maybe just the container change?

So looking good so far. They are in a cabinet for now while I build a new closet for seedlings. As you can see the plant with brown spots own the lower leaves shows very healthy top growth. The new closet will have. A massive cfl light, 8000 lumens, 6500k. All painted flat white interior, air conditioned. Still building it.
