McLoadie's Third Grow Journal

I've been off line a little more than usual for the last coupla days.......we've been at the emergency room twice in as many days........people close to us.........so hopefully I can stay away from there for a long while. I had a helper this am, and I thank God for that.............we spent around an hour tying and re-tying in the way of lst. I'm pretty stoked with these plants...they seem eager to please, as I was tying branches down the meristem was coming back up and I had to go around the big girl 3 times before I got her in a holding pattern and was atisfied with the results. I took the afghan kush off the wall........it did not like the treatment at all, and I have enough to deal with. I have got a coupla yellowing leaves on both plants down low, I think it's ok, I'm watching closely...and I don't know what I'll do if they start reacting like the last run did. If this problem persists, I will be forced to switch some things up.....again. I tied some of the outside plants up yesterday..........every little branch counts now..............these plants are gonna be heavy. From what I hear from friends, everyone is having stellar results this year......so far......a phenomenal season! Have a great day kiddies! OH, the clones are doing great!

Good weed, Mc. Your Garden is beautiful.

What are your "genetics"?

These plants are all from my mothers, all but six are from my breeding, and the only seed plant is the tall ass super skunk...lol, which is the mother of my two indoor super skunks! As for the exact breeding....you want to know?...don't laugh rico and I'll explain. I started growing, and immediately started passing out clones........well, one of my protégés you might say kept killing these top shelf cuts I was giving him, so, in my infinite wisdom I decided he might as well be killing bag seed plants....dead is dead. So, I was trippin on my success with cloning and I was growing copious amounts of these bagseed plants...and he was killing them nearly as fast! When the first of july came around I decided that it was like the cutoff date for planting....to get any kind of harvest. I had 3 of these bagseed plants left over...even still alive....and I dug holes in my compost pile and put those three bagseed plants in, watered em and oh shit!, they grew like crazy! I kept watering em, the skunks would dig them up looking for grubs in my compost pile......and the next day I would bury the roots again! These bagseed plants got six feet tall, and were as lovely as the day is long. Another of my protégés called me and exclaimed that all her plants had turned "male". WTF?, turned male? I went over and she told me that she had this one weird plant...different from the rest, this was a bubblegum kush I had grown from seed and provided....a male....in full flower! 16 plants...loaded with seeds. I took pollen from the bubblegum kush, and selectively pollinated some lower buds on my best bagseed plant. I got 200 or so seeds.........that is the mexikush. I called the mom mexicandy x bubblegum kush= mexikush. SO, I grew the mexikush......that were reg seeds, I took the best pheno from that cross, and crossed it with northern lights x big bud....it was a hermi cross.......mechanically induced from flashing my plants...LOL....this is the yeti. There it is rico....I took a minute to spell it out..........:peace:

For some reason I have the ultimate confidence in you! I have a box fan I'm bidding on in an auction house for 10 bucks, cord has been pigtailed together lol. I am trying to solve some minor heat issues.

Good luck with the bid FB, I hit the flea market, garage sales......and the senior center thrift store..........I usually don't pay more than a few bucks, and get new items often!

No time for nursing this plant.

Good Morning and Happy Sativaday Mc and young Miss Loadie:circle-of-love:

Thank you sir! Unloadie got admitted to the hospital yesterday........just to try to get the ammonia under control....she's ok, everyone is getting a kick out of her at the hospital....LOL, it's not everyday you can talk to someone who's experienced as much as her! Our elderly are valuable.....a REAL treasure!

Prayers, good vibes and anything else I can send to you Loadie and Unloadie Mc:circle-of-love:
I know how cool it is to talk to older folk. they know what its like not to have and had fun not having it:)

Another one hour lst session, I stopped supercropping 3 weeks earlier than I usually do this time, I am suspicious that the hst may be stunting or stressing my plants...right when they are forming buds.......maybe I'll get improved results....hard to tell always switching strains.....next run will be fun!, the plants I'm growing were the strongest of the previous run........everyone is twitchin from the bud that plant produced, and I'm excited to see what it tastes like using all organics!

I decided the weekly nutrient application will be provided by way of a tea, the rest of the grow will be alternating between dr earth vegetable fertilizer, and dr earth flower girl bloom booster. This tea consists of 1/2 cup vegetable fertilizer, 1 tbsp. molasses, 1 tsp. calmag, in a gallon of water. I'm going to increase the amount of solution to 7 cups, if the pots don't dry out quickly enough it f's up my whole process!

Good morning MC and a Happy Sativaday to you and your sweetie. Sorry to hear that she is in the hospital. Prayers are being sent my friend and I hope they can get things under control really fast.

I'm heading to Ace this morning to get more Dr earth products for both mixing of soil and tea. The tomato fert I'm using now in the tea they are liking so I need the flower girl bloom booster. Do you cut the tea with more water when you fert or do it straight? I've been using 2 cups of tea per plant. Watering a little before and after I fert.

Thank you bee! IDK, I have my own thoughts on this, when I use a dr earth tea I put 1/4 of what I would work into the soil if I applied it as directed. My theory on this is that the process of making it into a tea is that the water is going to cause the stuff to be mostly broken down, and they will get it faster than the prescribed application method, so, I don't dilute it at all. Problem is......this tea can't be stored...it smells like a dead body in two days! My watering is ALL tea, but what you described about watering a little before and after the application is a lovely concept...it makes perfect sense. So, as an example....I only add 1/2 of what the good dr recommends anyway, so his instructions say to add 1 cup per 5 gallon pot.......I only add 1/2 cup, so the tea will have 1/2 cup for two ten gallon pots. He doesn't list ten gallon pots, this is just what I decided to do. The tea is a bubblin now, along with the molasses...when I get ready to apply it I'll add the calmag. I've never waited to add the calmag.......but I am suspicious that it may kill he bennys in the tea by adding it while it's bubblin.....I'll give a full report if I decide it works better! Dr earth makes the finest weed I ever smoked!
