McLoadie's Third Grow Journal

I'm heading to Ace this morning to get more Dr earth products for both mixing of soil and tea. The tomato fert I'm using now in the tea they are liking so I need the flower girl bloom booster. Do you cut the tea with more water when you fert or do it straight? I've been using 2 cups of tea per plant. Watering a little before and after I fert.

Mind if I chime in a bit mcloadie;

I mix 2 cups Dr Earth Bud n Bloom in a 5 gal bucket with some molasses and Stump Tea powder (microbe stuff).

I then use that full strength divided among 4 plants and they LOVE it.

Dead bodies is right or a rendering plant. I made a mistake and dumped it a little to close to the back door and I had to water the area a couple of times to get rid of the smell. :yikes: What do you do with the mass that is at the bottom of the bucket? Dr earth says to mulch it around the plants but I haven't done that as of yet.

I bubble mine in a sock, so I don't get the mass in the bucket......I empty the sock in the houseplants, I come into my house carefully...I have houseplants that are bigger than me LOL, the plants love it..........it's gentle too!

thats cool now watch me draw a blank

That spimp!.....good weed everyone! The plants are up from the lst job I did on em yesterday. The big plant......the one on the right, is rapidly approaching 40" sq.. These plants are monsters....to me anyway! The smaller plant on the left seems to be at it's max for nutes......it looks like I need to give em a plain watering....of course with molasses and calmag...........the calmag will get stopped a full month before harvest.................I tasted it two grows ago, but got rid of the taste on the last run. I am always amazed by something, this run I am amazed by the difference in these two plants; same mother, cuts taken from the same area at the same time. The only difference is that the bigger plant got transplanted into a two gallon pot with happy frog soil...........and the smaller one got dr earth. The smaller plant is slightly lighter in color........and last watering I added a reduced concentration of triple sixteen. Homeboy told me that triple 5 is the strongest I should ever use and advised the discontinuance of the triple 16......forever. Every now and again I hear folks mention superthrive...........vague references, when I get the chance I'm going to try to nail one of em down to get specifics, these are growers that have great success!

Happy Skunkday Mc and Young Miss Loadie:circle-of-love:
I use superthrive :)

Happy Skunkday MC and all. So do I

1 drop per gallon of water as recommended on the bottle:) OMM uses it too got extra B vitamins in it and I like it for the energy boost it gives. a little bottle goes a long way:)

I have read good and bad about superthrive. Its suppose to be good to help recover from stress. I sometimes use it when I clone because of the B vitamins.

I have also read that you can use to much of it and it can delay flowering and cause stress to a plant. It is hard to tell if the growers that had these problems could of caused they delay/stress from other things they did to the plants.

I like to say... "Too much of a good thing is too much."

My suggestion is to use it in moderation and don't go overboard with it. :)

superthrive is really good for transplanting so I put it in my watering just about every time when it do something to shock the plant. since i started making tea I don't add it to the tea.

I was at Ace yesterday and stood in front of all the Dr earth products for at least a half an hour. Reading the differences between the products. After reading all I just bought the same thing I use now, the tomato fert. there was only miner differences from the other bloom products. I also bought their product called Golden Bloom. I can't find it on their web site though except for this. It's must be a really new product.
Dr. Earth® now offers PreBiotic® in two NEW liquid products: Nitro Big®—a high-nitrogen formula to promote green vegetative growth, and Golden Bloom®—a high phosphorous formula used to promote humongous buds and blooms, both formulas containing ProMoisture Hydrate® and. Try them with our soils all of which contain ProBiotic® protected by ProMoisture Hydrate®. Or try it in existing garden soil, or even with our competitors’ products to make them effective. Remember: a prebiotic targets the microbiota already present within the ecosystem.” This means any soil, from potting soils to backyard garden soils!

Not sure I will use it on the girls that are really close but I will on the next ones.

I get the Stump Tea at my local hydro supply store that is spelt with an H a T and a G

That's the only place I have ever seen it.

Mr. McLoadie, your plants are looking remarkable! Do you have plans to keep them growing tall or will you supercrop them?

Yo MC I finally got caught up been so busy with all the changes,Vert Scrog,LED test, blah blah tell you bout a few treasures I've found for super health and super tasty buds it's hard to best AZOMITE minerals, water retention and hyper nutrient uptake try yucca extract in your tea after bubble or you'll make a few sq feet of foam, yucca does far more than that add a few crushed aspirins to a 5gal yucca drench and it will turn on the plants internal defenses, mist the plant critters hate the taste too, you'll need to water less, yucca holds moisture inside the plant good for hot dry places,,AZOMITE has 70+ trace minerals plants never had it so good, I put it in tea ,the soil, topdress, it seems to abate any def and that buffet gives plants a chance to show you how good they taste & smell, long gone is the cut grass aroma, and I have found a tea that made me throw out all others, but I can't post their name, tho I have posted it in the beginning of my journal the new one, before I knew better, amazing new world this hi-brix place, and many of the things are stupid cheap, and can be used in regular soil for improved results, without having to go all the way hi-brix, tho in the end you'll want to!
The ladies are looking good sexy as hell! Good job pot daddy:thumb:
