Grow Journal Day 8

What I have learned from previous experiment about nutes and water. The plant hates to be wet. It likes to be dry most of the time. Uneven watering leads to asymmetrical growth. Nutrients, after watching some things on the net, most bring the plant to threshold but donot let the plant eat it all, then they water to soon and the water releases more nutrients which puts the plant into shock, then they go into investigation mode and read to to flush their plant lol. So they do. Now you got a plant shut down due to nutrient over load sitting in water not feeding. The water sits and the environment dries until it starts to feed again and bam more water back into shutdown mode. The plant will get green and point down due to nitrogen. Not yellow. Yellow means deficient. In everything water, nutrients, everything. They see spots and freak but it’s normal when drastic temp changes happen. You bring the plant to threshold then watch it survive. No water is best.

Something else I did. I germinate in a tiny little black condiment cup. The shell breaks I see white, no tail, I drop 3 inches deep. Why? Because what the net told me was too. I went knuckle deep in 1, just a little deeper on the other, and the third went 3 inches deep. Knuckle deep came out with shell, a little deeper came out with shell, 3 inches no shell. I feed it until it’s dry not when the surface dries like the net tells me too. There is no reason to put a cracked seed in a wet paper towel. The first thing you want that root to do is touch soil.

The net told me to go knuckle deep.

Hot soil, and when I refilled my humidifier I didn’t turn it and it sprayed it. I took soil from orange bucket to fill the pot completely because I ran out of the initial mix. Do I care am I worried, if it wants to live it will fix itself.

This is a plant asking for water, my bottom leaves are my water markers. They are starting to wilt. He had not had any water since nutes, so I will give it 400 ml of water because it’s tips are still pointing down and do not want to realease too much nitrogen.

So 700 ml of water all targeted at the tap root to start pushing any salts down. Basically I fed it like it was a seedling but a lot of concentration in a roughly 2 3/4 inch radius. I want the tap root clean before a big dose of water.
