McLoadie's Third Grow Journal

They are a pain in the ass for sure, but their larvae feed on roots! They must be eliminated, there are a few ways to do it, but like I said, keeping the pots on the drier side has been my best weapon. I use the sns, systemic....and drench!

Mac, one thing I noticed a couple of weeks ago is that a bowl of water I put in the tent for humidity had quite a lot of drown gnats. This week after I dumped it and put new water in, there are far fewer, do you think that is making a difference?

IDK bro, I use the strips just to give me an idea of what kind of bugs I have goin on. Keep those pots on the dry side and you'll be fine. The reason you're seeing em is cuz you just transplanted...........they are always in my soil! If they get too bad I treat for em....

Came home to firetrucks and an ambulance....we are fine, they took the neighbor/landlord. So if I'm a little distracted please excuse me. Today is the day...at 3:00 I set the timer and the lights go off! I run my lights from 3 to 3, I sleep from 6 to two, just my schedule. Yesterday I fed/ watered with 1/2 cup flower girl integrated into the top two inches of the soil, then watered in with a mixture of 1tbsp molasses/gal, and a full teaspoon of calmag. The plants are pretty strong and I expect good results.....I am gonna throw some mothers in there and let them go overtime and seed. I'll flower them out normally, harvest some seedless bud, and let some go. This is the first time I've done this, but I'm confident it will work fine! I'm waiting for the call to go pick up bro at er.

Thanks for the info. I've only run 2 crops both from seed and was wondering if I should try a mother and cloning the next go round. Guess it won't hurt to try once.

using a mother and cloning is great if you have something you like and you can keep the genetics the same
a bit faster than growing from seed once its rooted can go into flower
great for sog or lots of 2ltr hempies

Can you keep a mother outside a tent under a veg light perpetually? That would be the only way I could fore see doing it in my case. Then when harvesting, how much can you take off without killing the main stem?
